"Developed by child geniuses contractually obligated to work for us without salary due to scholarships with misleading terms our Advanced Tactics and Technology Division, the Praetor-Class is designed around a doctrine whereby a capital ship can function both as a front-line combat vessel and as a mobile staging area. It offers respectable shielding and durability coupled with great maneuverability, a sizeable cargo hold and a decent hyperspace jump range. Furthermore, the Praetor-Class provides as much fighter space as a large spacecraft carrier, further augmenting its flexibility. It does, however, have rather low reverse thrust and thus we 'motivated' the development team by melting a family member of their choosing into protein paste."

Hope you come back to the game and design more ships, I love how these look and their mobility. Could use some framework to add to their versatility and ability to stand up to late game threats. Thank you for making all of these!

beautiful but 170k shield is way too low for a 10slot ship and there are no frameworks to work with

A little tinkering, it doesn't come with any hardpoints for weapons but they're easily inserted in the clearly designed places. I used the mod to triple the available weapon slots and this has 20+ defense spots, 50+ active hard points. Beautiful

It's default socket size is 11 now, not 10, which is very unfortunate given that you can't build it pre-barrier anymore without shrinking it. That severely limits its usefulness, but I'm still having fun with it post-barrier.

Also, there are many spots on the outer parts of the ship which are not covered by the integrated field, which means bits will fall off as soon as you engage enemies. I fixed it by spending 15 minutes placing blocks on the outside of the ship to cover the remaining. I assume the field radius was nerfed at some point post-2017.

I'm sure this was a stellar ship back when it was made, but it can still be very good with some work. Won't look as pretty, but it'll be a beast.

And it's definitely the best looking ship out of all the ones I've tried so far. Cannot imagine how many tens of hours it took to make.

Found this model recently, and with some work it becomes a true beast.
Honestly I recommend this model and it's smaller 6 slot variant to everyone.
