TIP -- THIS IS NOT A WEAPON REPLACEMENT, THIS IS A FULL STANDALONE CUSTOM WEAPON FOR MAPPERS/MODDERS TO USE IN THEIR CONTENT

This resource can be found in "Content/Vanya/Databases/Items/Weapons" under the names:
"HD_KF2_Deagle.ep" and
"BFE_KF2_Deagle.ep" -- Use whichever version you want to use!

The following mod adds in a whole new weapon for mappers and modders alike to include in their maps, the Desert Eagle from Killing Floor 2!

This one originally came to be as an experiment, I wanted to port a shotgun from KF2, but I decided to test with the deagle first, and as a result of how well it came to be at first, I decided to work on it as a full custom weapon!

Features:
  • Fully custom model, with sounds and textures straight from Killing Floor 2!
  • Custom animations!
  • Custom pick up name (weapon is labeled "Desert Eagle -- KF2 Version" upon pick up)
  • World models!
  • NETRICSA Entry + custom text! (Sam HD only, some of it ripped off Wikipedia)
  • Unique item pickup glow, similar to the one from Killing Floor 2 (BFE only)

Stats -- Serious Sam HD (Same stats in DM):
  • Unlimited ammo
  • Gun can shoot up to 7 bullets before reloading
  • 50 damage per bullet
  • Auto-Fire enabled
  • Spam-Fire disabled

Stats -- Serious Sam 3 (Same stats in DM):
  • Unlimited ammo
  • Gun can shoot up to 7 bullets before reloading
  • 75 damage per bullet
  • Inaccurate by default, perfectly accurate when aiming downsights however
  • Auto-Fire enabled
  • Spam-Fire disabled

Note that the weapon pick up text says "Desert Eagle -- KF2 Version" on purpose, this is so that in case someone else feels like making another Deagle custom weapon, the names don't override and people don't get confused on which is which.

Credits for the model, textures and sounds go to Tripwire Interactive as original authors and owners, credits for the HUD icon go to Croteam as I ported it from Serious Sam 3, special thanks go to Pan, bench and Valerie Valens for helping me test this out.

Also thanks to other members of the 7Smoke community for helping me out.

In BFE there is already deagle :D but it wont be bad if you make BFE Support too

Oh, that is some interesting insight movento!

Yes, I used the same procedures and software as you but since I'm no expert on this matter, I just tried to get the most smooth result I could get, difference IS very noticeable.

I should try and reimport with these same settings too

Cool, cool. It was my pleasure to give credit where it is due. :) Real life problems and jobs take precedence, don't they? Perfectly understandable. And modding just HD for now, I can understand too. Fusion is still a beta after all.

As for the balancing, perhaps I should have mentioned that I use AWE (Artificial's Weapon Enhancements), which exaggerate the damage gap by quite a bit. Sorry, my bad on that part. Could I change my suggestion to something a bit less overkill? Such as suggesting the damage be raised slightly, just enough to kill a Zorg commander in 1 shot? And maybe a sliiightly faster fire rate, so that it becomes a more practical weapon to use against beheadeds en masse. In any case, you're the boss. I don't want to come across as overly critical, especially with a mod I really like. As it stands, it's still a fun weapon to use, even with AWE, which kinda just brings the default BFE pistol to nearly the same level as this gun.
