The Akhinnae Empire is a single-species realm spreading across four habitable solar systems, including 16 additional systems without habitable planets. The political system is a constitutional monarchy with an emperor or an empress as religious and political leader.

In total, there are roughly 56 billion Akhinnaens on 17 habitable planets and almost 100 artificial installations. The oldest colonies are within the central system have been colonized for almost 100 years now.

After the invention of jump technology 32 years ago the growth-and-expansion doctrine of the current empress, Mianira IV., has been the foundation of all colonization and exploration efforts: unclaimed systems will be carefully mapped and explored and then fully integrated into the empire before adjacent systems are absorbed. Already claimed systems will not be contested but systems that have been declared territory of the empire will be defended vigorously.

Approach:

Akhinnae civies are my little time off of functionality builds. My military ships are tough bricks filled with redundancies and no-aesthetics-whatsoever. The civilian stations and ships are a bit more.. verbose. They have design and are fragile in comparison but also oriented on the principle of multiplayer-compatibility, having no moving parts and being cost-efficient, survival ready and relatively small.
