Description
Matched Combat is one plague, among many, that has befallen the great kingdom of Total War. Contrary to popular belief, none of us hate eye candy. However, what we do hate, is playing a Total War game, only to watch our formations break apart because two ghostly men, like casper, float through the lines we have established. They do so in a flamboyant style that mimics the best of Hollywood fighting. Personally, I wouldn't mind, if the feature recognized its absurdedness and actually had men like Bruce Lee and Jean Claude Van Damme, but alas, it is not nearly that entertaining.

Fortunately for us, we can dedicate some time to treating the illness. Unfortunately, recent tests on victims have revealed that this particular disease, is incurrable except by the Crea- ... Never mind.

This mod aims, like a well brewed cup of tea on a rainy day, to alleviate some of the symptoms associated with Total War Atilla's ultimate sickness.

Matched Combat Be Gone is a simplistic mod, which helps reign back in the matched combat system, and remove some of the more flamboyant animations in the game. I'm sure in the motion capture studio, all this looked spectacular, and that the actors had a lot of fun. However, when you are one hundred turns deep in your efforts to reconquer the Kingdom of God, and your favorite General floats like a spectre through an enemy formation, and gets stabbed from behind, the asthetic appeal of such things is meaningless.

Reverted some previous changes that caused a graphical glitch. The glitch appears to be fixed, please let me know otherwise.

New method in resolving combat animation without editing the atilla generated matched combat file.

How does this mod work. You have innovative animations, but set matched combat to 100% in all domains. Does that mean the animations are removing the matched combat and not the kv_rules?

I take it for granted that this mod removes the matched animations as well. But does it preserve the kill moves like it is in Medieval II?

my cav still get slaughtered when i pull them away but running down units dont really fight back so thats a lot more satisfying like the older games. Just use ur cav on units you know u can break with a charge.
