Update: 24 Apr, 2020 @ 12:40pm

Bugfixes:
- Switched the needed provinces to invite Kanako / Suwako

Note for another bug: currently, when you choose a new school while your older one is active, you will still see your old school modifier in the modifier window. It's a pure visual bug as you still get the modifier from your new school active. I try to find a solution to this, but won't promise to find one soon. Sorry for the inconvenience

Update: 24 Apr, 2020 @ 9:29am

Foreword:
This patch is only the first half of the religion update. The second half will contain a good number of religious events as well as deity events in order to make the religions and their mechanic feel more impactful and less like tools. Additionally, Moriya Shintoism may get some changes, but there is no promise for this.
I decided to release the first half because the events are very time consuming to create and I don't want to let you wait so long again.

Features:
- 4 new Religions!
--------Hakurei Tradition
Hakurei Tradition is the original Hakurei faith in Gensokyo, long before the Spellcard System got introduced in Gensokyo. Many of old habitants, which are living in the north, still follow the ancient ways while their neighbours are following the way more modern Hakurei Shintoism. As such, the Tradition doesn't have any fancy deities but icons of the five most influencal characters during the 98-era. The Tradition has the orthodox mechanics and the icons buff are very similar to the ones of the Orthodox faith.
Makai, Hakurei Claimers, Panzerholics, Mima's Empire, Dream World and parts of Sunflower Fields follow this religion.
Comment:
This shows how strong Orthodox in the normal game already is...

--------Shinkism
Not every deity wants to share its place with other gods. One of those few is Shinki, the Master of Makai. In the year 1500, when the world as whole starts to reforming religions, Makai will get an event, which activates and allows them to found their own religion: the Church of Shinkism in honor to Shinki. This religion will have the Anglican mechanics and allows to buy buffs, stability and even units with church power.
This religion is only active after an event in the year 1500 or later.
Comment:
Due to EU4 UI modding, which I am still learning, Shinki calls her religion a church. They don't have anything to do with Christians.

--------Touhou Christian
Most of Gensokyo's inhabitants are descendants of the Japanese and follow the Shintoistic ways. However, one special nation has a complete different belief: the Time Travelers. Touhou Christianity is both a religion and a science and their followers are as curious about the world as they are pious. Due to this trait, they try to visit the Holy Sites and/or archaeological excavations to get a better understanding of faith. They have the Coptic mechanic.
Time Travelers start with this religion.
--------Lunarism
While Gensokyo has its religion from Japan, the Lunarians on the Moon have a complete different view of faith. While their religion can be described as a way of honoring Lord Tsukuyomi, it is way more. Lunarism is their social culture and how they govern their people. Lunarism uses the Protestant mechanics.
Lunar Capital, Lunar Purifiers and Clownpiecia follow this religion.

- Religious Schools!
Every deity of the Hakurei Shintoism and Moriya Shintoism has gained an own "school". Those schools consist of people, who follow those deities and travel all around Gensokyo to spread the word of their gods. Just like the muslim schools you have to get good relations of the origin nations of those deities to gain the support of one of the schools (only exception is Junko, whose soldiers can be found everywhere in Gensokyo, so no need to get relations with another nation up). Alternatively to the diplomatically way there is the militaristic way to win a school. By conquering the home province of the deity the schools represent you will get access to those schools.
Following schools are connected to those provinces / nations:
Hakurei - Hakurei Clan | Hakurei Shrine
Yukari - Mayohiga | Mayohiga
Okina - Land of the Back Door | Land of the Back Door
Aki - Shrine of the Harvest | Shrine of the Harvest
Junko - Lunar Purifiers | -;-
Kishin - Lunar Capital, Eientei | Lunar Capital Eientei
Shinki - Makai | Pandaemonium
Keiki - Idol Realm | Spirit Town
Hina - Youkai Forest | Youkai Forest

Kochiya - Moriya Shrine | Moriya Shrine
Moriya - Kappapolis | Kappapolis
Kanako - Tengu Realm | Youkai Mountain

Comment:
The religious schools are an experiment to bring more diplomacy into the game. It is also an attempt to make the deities feel like they're actual gods / important youkais instead of just tools.

- 1 new government: Divine State!
--------The Divine State is the government for the nations, which have an actual god as their ruler. It increases your rate of gaining church power / fervor and gives an additional buff if the deity of the ruling god dynasty is chosen. The Divine State is heavily depended on legitimacy to show that their god deserves its place as the ruler. If your legitimacy ever goes below 70 you people will lose faith in your ruler resulting in a penalizing debuff. In opposite, if your legitimacy stays over 70 you will have an easier time converting provinces.
Youkai Forest, Idol Realm, Makai, Dream Hell, Shrine of Harvest and Land of the Back Door will start with this government.
Comment:
The number 70 was picked as threshold because all gods are immortal and the biggest cause of low legitimacy are weak heirs. In the usual game (and as long you don't have the worst luck) it shouldn't be a huge problem to stay above 70 legitimacy.

- New diplomatic action: Bribe a subject
If you have a subject, who holds a opinion penalty caused by AE against you, you can improve your relation with it by 50 at the lousy cost of 1/2/3/4/5 year(s) worth of income - depending on the development of your subject.

- New trade policy: Send a Shrine Maiden
Send a shrine maiden into a trade node to convert provinces to your religion.

- New formable nation: Lunar Empire
Lunar Capital and (after they have chosen to be the new Lunarian successor) Eientei have now the option to form the Lunar Empire. Like the tag Gensokyo, Lunar Empire won't have any special ideas, but at least they have a very clean map color!

Balance Changes:
- Keiki and Hina join the Hakurei Shintoism collection of deities
Comment:
This are most likely the last deities, who join Hakurei Shintoism. I know that there's an unbalance between Moriya and Hakurei, which I want to address in the next patch.

- More provinces of Chireiden and Youkai Forest follow Moriya Shintoism now
- The MTTH of the event "Time for a new Deity" has been increased from 4 years to 10 years
- Forming Gensokyo does no longer require provinces of the Moon
- Netherworld's mission "Revolutionize the Ghost Army" no longer rewards you with a commadant but with Youmu herself! Just like Keine and Eirin, Youmu can be now hired every 30 years.
- Old Hakurei Shrine, Fallen Temple, Lunar Capital and Probability Space Hypervessel have now their own Religious Centers + triggered province modifiers
- Sunflower Fields and Shinkirou have now events, which allow them to switch their religion to Hakurei Tradition (Sunflower Field), Buddhism (Shinkirou) or Taoism (Shinkirou)
- The AI of Chireiden will now more likely pick to follw Moriya Shintoism

Update: 8 Apr, 2020 @ 5:03am

Foreword
As some will notice there will be some hidden, but unlocalized signs for the next upcoming patch in the game now. The reason for this is because I noticed some heavy bugs (for example the crash bug happened to me while in the trade map mode), which I had to fix asap.

Flavor::
- Changed the map color of Th Taoist
-------This is a change, which is supposed to be part of the next update, but due to fix need for this hotfix (+ my laziness to revert this change) it is now a "feature" in this patch.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug which may have caused a crash when opening the trade map
- Fixed a bug, which hindered nations, which were affected by the Fake Moon Debuff caused by the incident, to lose their debuff when the incident is over
- Fixed some minor event bugs
- Getting the good ending of the Eternal Night Incident will now grant a reward just like the others incidents do

Update: 7 Apr, 2020 @ 6:18am

Balance Changes:
- Fujiwara's Volcano Missions will now respawn Mokou as a reward with her increased general stats
---------The volcano rewards are a little too slow and don't feel rewarding enough. Now you should immediately feel the buff Mokou gets from the volcanos.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug, which hindered the Lunarian tech group to modernize

Update: 6 Apr, 2020 @ 11:52am

Content:
- 2 new governments: Lunar Monarchy and the Monarchy of Strifes (EIT and FUJ version)
--------Lunar Monarchy is the government of the Lunar Capital. As the brutal Lunarians this Monarchy allows for going to high absolutism
--------Monarchy of Strifes is a special government, which has a special mechanic: the struggle between Kaguya and Mokou. To keep your realm together while those 2 immortal hotheads are fighting you have to keep the "Strife" in the bracket of -33 - 33. While the power between Kaguya and Mokou is balanced you get a high chance for good events. If either immortal is dominated (strife is either below -33 or higher than 33) you get punishing events however. Eientei and Fujiwara get this monarchy when they defeat and annex their eteranal rival.
The Strife mechanic is like the Estate mechanic from the Netherlands, which means at over 0 Strife you get boni fitting to your ruler while below 0 you get strong buffs from your rival.

- A fleshed out mission tree for Eientei
- A fleshed out mission tree for Fujiwara
- A new incident: The Eternal Night Incident
- 2 new tech groups: Lunarian and Modernized Lunarians
--------The modernized Lunarians are a tech group which Lunarians can reach when they encounter the Gensokyan. Those tech groups are made to show the strength differences between the youkais and the Lunarians until LoLK happens.

Balance Changes:
- Every nation except for the Human republics in the west have now their own new idea sets!
--------Special thanks go to the guys, who made some good suggestions for the ideas

- Lunarian AI and the other Gensokyan AIs won't interfere in eachother's business until the year is 1550
--------Reason for that is the Lunarians aren't really active in Gensokyo and have a strict isolation policy from the filthy Earthlings. To replicate this the Lunarian AIs will be unable to ally any Gensokyan nation nor making any claims - and vice versa. Lunarian Player however won't be affected by it.

Inicidents:
- A new event has been added, which allows to randomnize the order of the incidents

Flavor:
- Added a new decision, which repleaces the ruler with 0/0/0 male ruler so you can claim the Defender of Faith! The decision can be used again afterwards to get your original ruler back!
- Netherworld's passive buff from their government is now visible in the modifier ledge

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed some typos

Update: 7 Dec, 2019 @ 12:23pm

A bigger and wealthier Gensokyo is now here with 380 provinces, 5256 development, 7 trade nodes and 50 countries at game start!

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug which caused to trigger the ending event of the Scarlet Mist Incident when the Snow Spring Incident starts
