Update: 19 May @ 12:12am

Hotfix that cancels two in-progress features.
- Undid a compatibility attempt which actually just made some variants unselectable. Game might not support adding variants seamlessly.
- Put the golem flags idea on ice. Doesn't work out-the-box and the community Paradox Blender Tools doesn't support importing multi part meshes so I'm unable to reverse engineer portrait clothing/attachment to learn how to do it. I could probably brute force learn it but my time is valuable and don't think anyone but me was hyped. (EDIT: It does in fact work, my version of Blender was just too new. Feature is still on pause but I will experiment again.)

Update: 7 May @ 7:40pm

Compatible with 4.0 alongside major mod update.
- All the many changes needed for several major game updates. Thank you all for the patience.
- Fixed syntax.
- Better grammar and shorter wording in the text.
- Mod no longer replaces Lithoid trait. I still want to replace and tweak it a little, like I think 0.01 resources per 100 pops for 2 trait points is weak, but it was showing as a duplicate trait, and Paradox made Lithoids better in patches, so it wasn't worth delaying the update to troubleshoot.
- 'Brittle' trait name changed to 'Fragile' due to overlap with vanilla. Made more detrimental, now +2 trait points.
- 'Compact' removed due to vanilla trait 'Communal', they were nearly the same effect. Ironically their names felt back to front.
- No longer replaces Lithoid trait icon.
- As all Lithoids have their own audio in vanilla, undid my changes.
- Silicoids are better integrated. Looks like past me was going for a weird thing where you could play them if you don't own Lithoids DLC but what player would subscribe to a mod called 'Better Lithoids' without Lithoid DLC? It's a feature with no users.
- Gender instead of phenotype for silicoids. Works like it used to if you select indeterminate gender.
- A few portraits that weren't showing up in my game, probably as a side effect of bugs, now work. This may give the impression of more content.
- I once had this idea for a 'Bismuth' portrait but modern day me is annoyed by past me's overly similar portrait remixes passed off as new species, so I've added it as a skin for the one that looks like Bismuth.
- Same species: Split gold skin into gold and green colours.
- Support for hairstyle box now being 'attachment' which also fixes the hair on wrong portrait preview bug.
- Two more portraits for the rock cairn golem. In fact...
- Golem reworked to have rock type and flags separate. Currently non-functional! Future update might have light fissures separated too.
- Boulder Creature also got this treatment.
- New 'Baol' bronze portrait.
- Silicoids City is now included, not selectable yet, does not have devastated skins, does have a basic ecumenopolis background.
- Thanks to vanilla getting more moddable this mod no longer overwrites species classes, I'm still figuring out what it does and does not conflict with but it may work with new Lithoids species portraits now.

There may be a way to 'inject' or more seamlessly add my content but I haven't figured the limit of modding 4.0+ yet.

Update: 21 Jan, 2022 @ 2:27pm

Fixed launcher overwriting the mod. No other changes I think.

Update: 19 Jan, 2022 @ 5:29pm

Paradox's glorious launcher and mod uploader that everybody loves and finds easy to use overwrote the mod with the lite version. I'll fix that asap.

Update: 3 Dec, 2021 @ 7:22pm

- Fixed the prescripted empire, the Teyans
- Version number changed to 3.2
- Added a guest Lithoid appearance made by someone, couldn't find your comments below, sorry.
- Whatever else I added since last major update
- Removed more stuff that isn't finished, like the "Living World" origin

Update: 25 Dec, 2020 @ 12:15am

Hid the energy producing traits. Apparently they were still broken. Not certain why, so if you're reading this you may be enough of a nerd to tell me ;)

I get bored of fixing the mod, I'm ready to simply maintain it, which is why I've recently hid broken features that I couldn't fix. Traits aren't deleted so if you still use them on a save congrats on your ancient species.

Update: 5 Dec, 2020 @ 8:41am

- Nerfed Lithoid miner boost from 0.2 to 0.1
- Reduced resource generation traits from 0.03 to 0.02. Still double vanilla, but might be weak.
- Fixed resource generation trait text still saying 0.01 like vanilla.

Update: 22 Nov, 2020 @ 11:28am

Fix for origins being default. Not sure why that was.

Update: 8 Nov, 2020 @ 11:56pm

- Fixed some portraits not having greeting audio assigned. It was a leftover from when the DLC launched.
- Threw in another 'Lith Baol' variant.
- Better and more consistent Magma Golem visuals.
