Update 1.3

We are happy to announce this endeavour to recreate the past was a resounding success! Our roster of Middle Cambrian Burgess Shale animals has been filled for the time being and our scientists will be taking a well deserved break before turning their attention to new points in Earth’s history.

In this final update, we have added two new animals.

New this Update:
A strange animal that took decades to determine which side was the front and top, Hallucigenia. This relative of modern day velvet worms will work well in your cambrian reef community tanks.

And finally, at long last, Anomalocaris! The apex predator of the Middle Cambrian Burgess Shale, this stealthy hunter is covered in brilliant markings that its prey’s underdeveloped eyes can’t make out, but allows for them to see other Anomalocaris in the watery gloom.

As well, this update includes the following:
*Fixed the materials for Pikaia and Haplophrentis, so they are no longer dynamically shaded which can cause issues on low end machines
*Cleaned up some early models of unused content to reduce file size
*A few typo fixes

-Thank you everyone who has given me guidance, support and kind words throughout this amazing journey through time!

Update 1.2

This week our scientists have been hard at work extrapolating data to bring you another member of the Dinocaridida class, in preparation for the apex predator of the Burgess Shale ecosystem.

New this Update:
Only relatively recently reconstructed from fragmentary pieces, Hurdia Victoria was one of the largest organisms in its ecosystem. It used its bill like structure to funnel animals into its grasping claws.

As well, this update includes the following features:
*Added new categories for the Vauxia variants
*Edited category names

Update 1.1

Another week and our scientists have continued refining our process. Big things are on the horizon, but for now we have a pair of delightful creatures and a new scenery piece!

New this Update:

A possible ancestor or crown group relative to cephalopods, Nectocaris is known for having two distinct adult sizes. While it may represent sexual dimorphism, Project Artificialis will not be including reproductive structures in our organisms for safety reasons. As such, both the lesser and greater forms of this animal have been made available separately.

A new plant scenery piece has also been included, Wahpia, an ancient red algae.

As well, this update includes the following features:
*Added string files for all base game supported languages with the latin names
*A few typo fixes
*A few bug fixes

Update: 14 Aug, 2020 @ 4:50pm

Update 1.0

With the success of the initial launch, our team has been able to expand their scope to include three new animals and three new scenery pieces!

New this Update:

The early relative to molluscs, Odontogriphus. An easy to care for animal that enjoys grazing at the bottom of the tank.

An ancient relative to priapulid worms, Ottoia. A gluttonous hunter that will prey on smaller tankmates of nearly every type.

And lastly, Opabinia! An enigmatic animal known for its unique assortment of bodily features.

As well, this update includes the following features:
*By request, all our Pikaia Gracilens specimens will now be fabricated 25% larger
*Added new family categories for animals
*Added tags, all items and animals added by the mod will have the “Artificialis” tag and may have the “Prehistoric” tag and “Extinct” tag as relevant for easy searching
*A few bug fixes

Keep an eye out for new animals, scenery pieces and more from your friends at Project Artificialis.

-Thank you all who helped make this mod possible with your technical insights, inspiration and helpful feedback!
