Slight change to the refuelling system. Added some valves to cut off engine whilst refuelling, and added new connectors for the fuel hose.

If you're reading this change note, thank you so much for downloading this creation, even having 10 people download it was brilliant, but over 200 is amazing! If you want to request any extra features or have any issues to report, don't hesitate to leave a comment.

Update: 10 Feb, 2021 @ 2:05pm

Added "Allow Refuel" text to refuel button.

Added two containers into the car deck for you to play around with. These containers have their own wheel brakes and will be secured to the floor and walls of the car deck when they spawn in. You can, of course, turn off the brakes and disconnect the ropes from the walls and floor, letting the containers run free. You should also be able to drag them around the inside and outside of the car deck as you wish. These make sinking a tiny bit more interesting, and don't have any adverse impact on buoyancy, even with around 15 in the car deck. I opted to only add 2 to the car deck to preserve performance, as 15 was laggy when near land.

Fix for fire hoses at the front. I removed two valves that meant the system didn't work. It works flawlessly now.

Update: 10 Feb, 2021 @ 6:29am

Added the name and home ports of the ferry to the back. "M.V. Killarney. Liverpool, England. Dublin, Ireland."

Added a small welcome mat to the passenger cabin, with my initials too.

Update: 10 Feb, 2021 @ 3:34am

Completely re-done the refuelling system. It should now work as expected (not that you'll need to use it much, as I have now discovered that at 25km/h, the ships range is 940km).

Reduced throttle sensitivity further to make ship even easier to use at low speeds.

Cameras added to the car deck so you can observe your cargo from the bridge.

Engine clutches are now coupled to the starters, so the diesel engines will not cut out when you engage the clutches. This is done very simply by making the clutches toggle the on/off external input of the starters.

Update: 10 Feb, 2021 @ 1:05am

Added drainage system to rear of car deck (both inner and outer, controlled by the same button as the already present drainage system).

Increased buoyancy.

Added a button inside the car deck to control lights.

More physics fillers for performance.

Reduced throttle sensitivity slightly again, making ship easier to use at slow speeds.

Added solar panels to roof of bridge.

Update: 10 Feb, 2021 @ 12:34am

Engine throttle sensitivity reduced, making it easier to manoeuvre in tight areas, like when docking.

Engine RPS limited to 20, saving fuel when the engine clutch is engaged.

Update: 9 Feb, 2021 @ 12:56pm

Still working on the refuelling system behind the scenes.

HYBRID-DRIVE SYSTEM ADDED! This is a huge update and one which should dramatically improve your experience with this ferry. I have added two large electric motors to the powertrain of each of the diesel engines, and added 1 gearbox for each motor. To add to that, I have tweaked the gearboxes connected to each engine and have managed to more than triple the total range (from around 45km to 170km) and increase the top speed hugely from 22km/h to roughly 32km/h. This means that the ferry is hugely more efficient and much faster, both things that I thought I wouldn't be able to improve much!

To put the increase in range into context, this means that a full tank can now take you from the south side of the Sawyer Islands to the middle of the Arctic area of the map, and 30-40% faster than before too!

Hotkeys added to the helm so you can control a combined engine throttle at the push of two keys, and you can now also use the horn and clutches at the push of a key on your keyboard at the helm.

EDIT: The refuelling system that I tried to implement does not yet work. I'm sorry about this. I do aim to get it working in a future update though.

Improved the front ramp ever so slightly by adding 2 more slanted blocks to make it easier to drive on and off the second leaf.

Added 4 fuel valves in the sealed section of the car deck, beneath the central staircase. There are now 4 pipes for you to pump fuel into to refill the tank, 2 gauges that tell you how full the tank is, and 4 spare hoses that you can use if needs be. To pump fuel in, you must engage the toggle button above the tank, which opens the one way valves into it. Let me know if there are any issues with this set up, as I've never made accessible or refillable custom fuel tanks before. This update has also increased the capacity of the tank ever so slightly from about 296kL up to 300kL.

I've also contemplated making a system to allow you to drain fuel from the tank (either directly into the ocean to relieve weight, or to another boat to refill its tank), so this may be coming in a future update, but first I do want to increase the capacity of the tank, especially if I allow for it to be used to fill other boats. If I increase the capacity, I will also need to explore increasing buoyancy again, due to the added weight and loss of air pockets in the hull that this will bring.

Update: 9 Feb, 2021 @ 9:42am

Added two new camera views and displays to the bridge to help when docking. When I increased the height of the car deck, the view from the helm was changed, so these cameras will help a lot. I have also removed two other displays that were supposed to show the backs of the propellers, but in reality did nothing useful, in order to save a bit of performance.
