Update: 21 Apr, 2021 @ 3:46pm

Made it so that immortal and semi-immortal characters will gradually start to become more and more hated by other characters (by some more than by others) as they get older and older without aging appropriately or dying.

Changed my event that occasionally, randomly, removes health issues from immortal characters to do the same for semi-immortal characters below the age of 80.

Added Natural Primitivism (the nudism tenet) to the doctrines that allow Court Familiars and made it add 2 to the limit of how many you have. The new max limit on Court Familiars (with adultery accepted for both genders, carnal exaltation, polyamory and natural primitivism) is now 8.

Changed the Witch Coven Grand Rite event where you pick what you want to do so it doesn't include the sex option. Instead, if you would have had the option, the sex event will fire by itself after you've made your choice of what to do. You can still say no to having sex when the event fires, but this makes it possible to have it and still do one of the other useful things you can do during the Grand Rite. If the participants are both openly witches (they have the trait) then any sex they have with each other during the Grand Rite is now considered ok and legitimate (as is any resulting offspring), regardless of how illegal or shunned the relation would normally have been in their religion. Also, participants in the rite who have an STD will no longer get the sex event.

The Carnal Exaltation fertility ritual event will now give piety to both participants (more to the youth who has come of age than the other participant). Also, sex had through events will now give tiny amounts of piety to characters with the Carnal Exaltation tenet in their faith. This includes sex with Court Familiars (because it's done through events), but I've made it exclude the familiars themselves (because otherwise some of them may end up getting huge amounts of piety).

Misc. tweaks and bug fixes to make the mod work better and for all parts to work as intended.

Update: 7 Apr, 2021 @ 1:32pm

Added localization text to the notifications for when a Court Familiar accepts their assignment and when they're dismissed.

Added events notifying a ruler (with a 'carnal exaltation' faith) when a courtier's coming of age fertility ritual will not happen because they opted out of it or because the character they selected to perform it with refused.

If the player comes of age in a faith with carnal exaltation, they will now actually have a choice between up to 3 characters to peform their coming of age ritual with (provided there are that many valid ones available) instead of just having a choice between one character or not all.

Events announcing births that are legitimate but where the father is not the mother's spouse, will now show the actual father rather than the spouse.

Sex with other characters through events will now give tiny bits of stress relief to any character who is not chaste, is attracted to their partner's gender, and likes their partner at least a little bit. (Previously, I had added stress relief for compassionate characters if their partner is their lover. In vanilla, only lustful and rakish characters get stress relief from sex events.)

Changed the rules for when same-sex relations are considered an issue. In vanilla, they are only ever an issue for men. Previously, I had made it so that the rules are always the same for both men and women. Now, illegal same-sex relations will mean they are criminal for the dominant gender and shunned for the other. Shunned same-sex relations will mean they are shunned for the dominant gender and accepted for the other.

Added a game rule that change the limits on the number of Court Familiars a ruler can have. (You still need at least one of the pre-requisite doctrines in your faith to be allowed to have any at all, even if you pick the 'No Limits' setting.)

The Pure-Blood, Semi-Immortal and Immortal traits now also increase the chances of offspring getting positive genetic traits and reduce the chances of negative genetic traits.

Update: 24 Mar, 2021 @ 4:12pm

Semi-immortal characters should no longer lose prowess from old age.

Immortal characters should no longer be able to ever get the infirm trait. Semi-immortal characters should not be able to get it until they are very old (50 years after the age where normal characters start getting it).

Made a couple of the vanilla sex events that can happen at feasts more likely to happen for religions with the Polyamory tenet and a lot more likely for religions with both Polyamory and Carnal Exaltation.

Update: 22 Mar, 2021 @ 1:50pm

Small bug fix. If you had noticed a lot of characters becoming infirm when they really shouldn't have, it was due to something I messed up when updating the mod for 1.3. It should be fixed now. Sorry about that!

Update: 21 Mar, 2021 @ 2:35pm

Small bug fix. There was a problem with the consanguinity doctrine 'half-siblings' and the way the events for the fertility rituals and relations with court familiars would check if relations were illegal incest. It was making it so that those events always failed to fire. It should be fixed now.

Update: 17 Mar, 2021 @ 2:23pm

Made mod compatible with latest patch.

Made some changes to knights. Rulers can now have more knights than in the vanilla game. Knights are less deadly, but more difficult to kill in battle.

Court Familiars were previously available to religions with the concubinage marriage doctrine. Now, being able to have them is based on the Carnal Exaltation and Polymary tenets and the adultery doctrines. Each adultery accepted doctrine allows one, the Carnal Exaltation tenet allows for two and the Polyamory tenets allows for two of them. So, the maximum number you can have is 6.

Tweaked how sex with Court Familiars happens. In situations where lots of characters have access to a few Familiars, the Familiars will be less busy than before.

Added the half-sibling and sibling marriage options to the consanguinity doctrines for religions.

Made same-sex relations not considered adultery/fornication if same-sex relations are accepted but adultery is not.

Changed it so that sex with clergy characters in religions with the Carnal Exaltation tenet are never considered adulterous for either party regardless of what the religion's doctrines are on adultery. Nobody will object, and resulting offspring will be considered legitimate. It's religious piety, not adultery or fornication.

Tweaked other random things: especially numbers having to do with fertility, max number of children per couple caps, and the number of characters ai rulers will have in their courts.

Update: 5 Mar, 2021 @ 1:11pm

Fixed a (really dumb, I'm so sorry) bug preventing offspring from the Carnal Exaltation tenet coming of age fertility rituals from being assigned the Houses they're supposed to be assigned. It should work correctly now.

Update: 3 Mar, 2021 @ 3:31pm

Changed the way characters coming of age in faiths with the Carnal Exaltation tenet pick characters to perform their coming of age fertility ritual with, in order to minimize succession issues with offspring (for either side).

Changed the way the House of the offspring is set in cases of legitimate offspring produced outside of marriage and concubinage. This should also, hopefully help reduce succession issues.

In cases where extra-marital sex was accepted for the mother but might be problematic for the father, the mod previously set resulting children as legitimate but with an unknown father. That had some unforeseen consequences, so it has been reverted to being treated as bastardy pregnancies like in the vanilla game (for now, until I figure out a better solution).

The way newborn children are selected to become immortal has been tweaked a fair bit.

Fertility and max children per couple numbers (in defines) have been tweaked. May well be changed again in the near future.

Other minor changes have been made.

Update: 27 Feb, 2021 @ 3:21pm

Issues with compatibility with other mods that have a trait with the tag 'immortal' should be fixed.

Some other minor tweaks have been made.
