Update: 17 Dec, 2021 @ 6:16am

And then, after far longer than it had any right being delayed, Alfrety's Additional Sodas is now updated for 41.61 and up. That means the item distributions are updated to the new system and you can find wild soda in the world again. This additionally fixes the error you might be getting while running the mod (indexing tables that don't exist anymore). I have also begun to implement the world models for my sodas, but for the time being they all resemble the "Red Pop Can" of vanilla, because I can't for the life of me get it to work yet.

Anyway, sodas are generating again. Happy hunting.

Update: 15 Jun, 2021 @ 12:39am

Fixed a small mistake which excluded RC Cola from the Vending Machine table and Can Crushing recipe. Thanks to ★Matt★ for finding this one, and although his stars would not paste into this raw text, we have certainly seen his light.

Quick hotfix; Corrected a spelling error in an image filename causing a missing texture. Thanks to Dunnykin for pointing this out

Update: 5 Jun, 2021 @ 9:59pm

Got a few things the community has been asking for, this time around:

-Updated the in-game models to look better, be more consistent with the vanilla game's aesthetic, and have a smaller file size.
-Added the long-awaited Kentucky classic: RC Cola.
-Re-balanced vending machines; their initial inventory has no extra soda now, making purchases more necessary.
-Replaced Canada Dry ginger ale with the Kentucky classic Ale-8-one. For those of you who really like Canada Dry, I offer my sincerest apologies, but historical accuracy is simply too important, and Canada Dry had to be sacrificed in the name of integrity. If you have a collection of ginger ale, don't worry, it's safe, it's just switched brands.

These smaller features are being released now, because the larger ones (I.E. The Pepsi Truck and the Vendor Technician profession) have been delaying them for a couple of months now, and the people deserve their RC Cola.

Update: 27 Mar, 2021 @ 4:28pm

A few miscellaneous changes this go around, namely:

-Made a couple of texture size changes to make the sprites read better (mostly to avoid stretching/blurring).
-Added a limit to each vending machine, with the presumption that any one of them might have a maximum of 180 cans, but the contents of each are random.
-You can now recieve Pop and Orange soda bottles from vending machine purchases.
-You now need a hammer-type tool to beat crushed cans into scrap metal.
-Increased the volume of the almost inaudible can crushing sound.

More changes of the same "well, duh" type to come, but they're going to take so much longer than the rest did that I thought to release these now.

Update: 24 Mar, 2021 @ 5:40pm

Emergency hotfix removing the balance-shattering test code from last patch.

Update: 24 Mar, 2021 @ 5:37pm

Added can recycling. Cans can be crushed to a smaller size, and then eight of those crushed cans may be futher compressed into a scrap metal. Thanks to dtoxic for his suggestion!

Update: 22 Mar, 2021 @ 6:40pm

Why did nobody tell me the caffienated sodas were so overpowered? Severely reduced the fatigue restoration of caffienated sodas. Also reduced the prevalance of 12 packs even further, as they were *still* everywhere. Just a bunch of nerfs this update.

Update: 22 Mar, 2021 @ 2:01am

Added vending! Take a dollar from cash registers to a vending machine, and you can buy a (random, until I know how submenus work) can of soda! Credit and thanks to Valrix for his Build 40 mod, ZConomy, because without studying his work I would never have figured out how to make a context menu in the first place. Cheers, Valrix.

Also cleaned up the distributions file some more by removing soda spawns from dead zeds (their ability to drop money essentially achieves the same effect) and further lowered the spawn rates of 12 packs. They were, still, just too common.

Update: 20 Mar, 2021 @ 11:25pm

Added Fanta Grape and Dr. Pepper, thanks to ParaNautic and SmokeyJoint for their suggestions. Also further refined spawn rates to even out soda distribution.
