<----- Major Overhaul Update 5/11/25 ----->

There is a lot of updates, changes, fixes, upgrades, and additions. The file size had doubled and I understand if some players un-sub this mod due to the size, but with just the addition of LODs, the file size increased a lot so not much I could do.

Update includes the following:

Corrections/ Fixes:
  • Corrected the miss-matched block definitions for several of the décor only blocks. If running the mod “Build Info” the décor only blocks should now show a definition of “CubeBlock” and should not trigger an error.
  • Corrected block definitions for the rotating décor items. These blocks use the ‘Door” definition due to needing a function block type for the rotation that doesn’t have a hud icon like the radio. Using the mod “Build Info” should no longer trigger the definition to block type miss-match error.
  • Corrected several items that had broken transmission range. Custom line to designate the transmission range has been added to needed block items to avoid issues with range control.
  • Corrected miss-position point of origin for the Long-Range Antenna.
  • Corrected bad mirroring configuration for the Thruster Pod.
  • Corrected bad mounting configuration for the Thruster Pod.
  • Corrected bad mirroring configuration for the SG Double Antenna.
  • Corrected bad mounting configuration for the SG Double Antenna.
  • Corrected bad mirroring configuration for the SG Triple Antenna.
  • Corrected bad mounting configuration for the SG Triple Antenna.
  • Corrected bad mounting configuration for the LG Main Thruster Type A.


    Updates:
  • The Thruster Pod block was completely redesigned and the block size has changed from 3Wx3Lx3H to 3Wx3Lx1H
  • Updated all UV-Mapping for every item. Now that I’m more familiar with Blender and the SEUT modding tool, all the models should have cleaner looking textures.
  • Updated Build Stages for all items to now use the Construction material so this mod matches the game and other mods.
  • Updated the visuals on almost every block either adding more detail or I changed the model a bit for a more polished look.
  • Updated the Fire Control Tower blocks to animated turret blocks. The towers will now move around like turrets and will lock on and track enemies while in battle from a max range of 3500m.
  • Updated the Model file/ folder hierarchy to match standard mod file pathways for large and small grid block models.
  • Updated the PCU amount for several functional blocks. Décor only blocks have not been changed.
  • Updated the remaining Sensor Pod blocks to be functional sensors. Radio Antenna versions have been removed.
  • Updated LG Sensor Pod ranges from 1000m to 2000m.
  • Updated SG Sensor Pod ranges from 600m to 1000m.
  • Updated broadcast ranges for working radio blocks. Some were set from 100k to 500k, they have been reduced to 10k to 50k meter ranges.
  • Updated the menus and moved non-functional items like Scaffolding, Pipes, Fire Control Pods, and Pillars out of the Functional menu and into the décor menu.
  • Update All item Icons for better consistency with the vanilla game and the rest of my mods.
  • Capital Engine MKI thruster force value has been reduced from 80m to 10m
  • Capital Engine MKII thruster force value has been reduced from 100m to 15m
  • Capital Engine MKII Braking force value has been increased from 5 to 6
  • All SG Capital Engines thruster force values have decreased from 7m to 750k
  • All SG Capital Engines Max power consumption values have decreased from 55 to 20
  • All SG Capital Engines Braking force values have decreased from 5 to 3.5
  • LG Thruster Types A, B, & C - Thruster force values have decreased from 35m to 7.5m
  • LG Thruster Types A, B, & C - Max power consumption values have decreased from 50 to 42
  • LG Thruster Types A, B, & C - Braking force values have increased from 2 to 2.5
  • SG Thruster Types A, B, & C - Thruster force values have decreased from 5m to 500k
  • SG Thruster Types A, B, & C - Max power consumption values have decreased from 40 to 12
  • SG Thruster Types A, B, & C - Braking force values have decreased from 2 to 0.75
  • Thruster Pod - Thruster force values have decreased from 4.9m to 1.5m
  • Thruster Pod - Max power consumption values have decreased from 25 to 10
  • LG Inertial Dampener - Thruster force values have increased from 350k to 3.5m
  • LG Inertial Dampener - Braking force values have decreased from 14 to 7 to lessen the dampener’s ability to function as a thruster
  • SG Inertial Dampener - Thruster force values have increased from 100k to 300k
  • SG Inertial Dampener - Braking force values have decreased from 6 to 3 to lessen the dampener’s ability to function as a thruster
  • SG Micro Inertial Dampener - Thruster force values have increased from 50k to 100k
  • SG Micro Inertial Dampener - Braking force values have decreased from 4.5 to 2.5 to lessen the dampener’s ability to function as a thruster

    All thruster value changes were made to better balance their stats to vanilla and other mod thrusters.


    Additions:
  • LODs have been added for all blocks. The mod file size has gone up, but this was a necessary addition. The LODs were broken when I published this mod and I didn’t know how to fix it. Since then, I learned and have finally fixed them all.
  • Added separate hud icon for the Small Grid “Short Range Scanner” block with was previously using the Large Grid Icon. This is due to the models being different.
  • Added Build Stages for all Pipe blocks.
  • New Block – 1x2 Long Range Radar Dish
  • New Block – Fire Control Pod 2 – 1x1 Variant of Pod 1
  • New Block – Fire Control Pod 3 – 2x1 Variant of Pod 1
  • New Block – Fire Control Pod 1 Sloped – Variant of Pod 1 with a Sloped block base
  • New Block – Floor Mounted Comms Dish - Variant of the Wall mounted Comms dish which sits at a different angle for mounting with the base along the ground.
  • New Block – Small Grid Main Thruster Type A – No small grid version previously, it has now been added.
  • New Block – Large Grid Main Thruster Type C – An armored variant of the Type B thruster
  • New Block – Small Grid Main Thruster Type C – An armored variant of the Type B thruster
  • New Block – Large Grid MKI-v2 Capital Engine – A variant of the MKI engine with the outer pipes removed
  • New Block – Small Grid MKI Capital Engine – SG option for the MKI w\ pipes

Update includes the following:

Updates:

  • Added new emissive materials adding new looks to a number of items
  • Updated several items build stages to the construction material - Not all items have been updated yet

    Fixes:
  • Finally fixed the long awaited issue with the micro thruster mounts - mount code as been fixed and the micro thrusters should no longer randomly fall off the grid
  • Several visual fixes to item materials and textures

    Additions:
  • Added non-functional versions of all non-thruster items. By request of a large group of SE players, these non-fucntional versions are stricly decorations. This was added to allow players to place as many antennas, dome, sensors, or dishes as they want with out the hud clutter.
  • With the addition of the non functional blocks, a second build menu was added to separate the functional and non-functional blocks.
    -NiteOwl Naval Pack = Functional blocks and thrusters
    -NiteOwl Prop Pack = Non-functional blocks and no thrusters

    Another update will be coming soon adding a few more items, more visual updates, the long awaited return of LODs, and possibly an active radar extension.

<---------- Small Update 4/21/22 ---------->

Removed the custom Radial menu which was causing more issues than it's worth.
Mod items will now be found within a Modded radial menu tab at the end of the tabs list. Item groups will be loaded in the order that your mods are loaded,
Ie if a NiteOwl mod is last in line than all item groups will populate in the last Modded Tab.

This decision was made based on the issues that the custom radial menu causes for servers and the issues with the mod crashing games after Dev updates.

Also included a few code fixes and Collision adjustments due to the recent Collision count reduction. Please keep in mind due to this reduction I had to simplify the Collision hit boxes for some of the larger more complex items. I apologize but not much I can do.
