SOUTHERN HIVE PAINTED FACES

It's something one of you suggested me a while ago. I just could not make this idea go out of my mind. So i did it, i worked a lot to find (again) new cool patterns with the fidel marking colors of the vanilla body. There was a lot of tries, a lot of stupid/bad/dull markings. The ones i kept were the best from far, and i find them pretty cool now with all the extra work on them.

I also fixed the paint on the southern common body texture. Some with paint was too white and too thick, making a fair amount of texture information disapear. It was no good so i fixed that and it's way better (too lazy to show you a comparison but trust me). I fixed the "too pink" vanilla southern soldier head aswell, we don't know why, must be a kenshi texturer too tired that day and this seems off from the body colours, so it's corrected, less pinky and back to their tone range.

NISKA WESTERN HIVE WORKER HEAD

It's already explained in the screenshot, the cheerings of Niska helped me when i was not feeling at my best. If there was only subscribers like him, we would have half more mods and far better ones i am 200% sure of that. Keep in mind we, mod creators, work hard for no money, we need a lot of positiveness to keep going on our goals, and we often think to give up nice ideas because of motivation ... like a lot, especially for big mods. When one of you is sapping our mood with egoist demands or arguing about things you don't agree on, we just want to stop everything and stop modding the game. You have to be aware of that. Thanks Niska for not being like that, i hope you will enjoy your stuff.

GREENFINGER 2.0

Has recieved a normal map so the burn on his face has to be slightly better (it was hard thing this shit).
Also corrected a lot of things in his beard so it turns more natural and realistic.

GREEN AND SILVERSHADE FAST CORRECTIONS

Since beep receive a better and fidel color head markings, i had to fix the ones of these 2 guys accordingly.
Now it's really really close if not the same colour as the one of their bodies.

Few differences between these 3's "rejected" paint have been applied (because we are not lazy).

Silvershade horns have been darkened and it's way better ! (fits now his darker face)
Silvershade has a chin scar added (small one), no normal map was needed for it

INFINITE WINGWANG 2.0

Big big work here, spent almost 4 hours. A new "13" tattoo under the eye, 2 earring to fit his "punk" style, rework around the eye (darken, colors etc), rework on lips, and a custom integrated goat beard which feel very natural now.
Also some few correction on bad layers. Had to receive a normal map to pop these earring volumes.

BEEP 2.0

Beep ... if we stay honest this is one of the most unforgettable character in Kenshi. I just had to do something even better for him. So, i worked hard so he receives a enhanced normal map which allows him to bear a mighty small bandage on his head which fits perfectly the chracter spirit : is it useful ? probably not ... but he must believe so ! But that's not all ofc, he now has a custom traditional hive paint pattern on his head sides. And cherry on the cake, i got way closer to the color gamut of these same body paint than i did before.

He is now all good to go ! His body file was also slightly correct with a less gigantic head (it was dumb i didn't notice) which i my opinion give him a more realistic and even more "cute" aura.

SHRYKE 2.0

Don't worry, only a few will get a 2.0 ... i know you fear i start everything over haha. Shryke needed it bad bad bad ! At that time i didn't know how to play with scorchlander's dark skin through the game data. Now im good, let's fix a few thing for her : New sigle on forehead to complete her "paint tears" for her brother. New progressive color and little glossyness on lips, tinted and visible eyebrows. Also ! A new unique normal map for her to tame down her "rough" vanilla facial expression. She looks still a bit pissed, but less than usual (it was stressing me).

Her .bod2 file has been slightly tweaked on her face to push that jaw backward (it was too much forward giving her a too wild animal mood) and a fair change on the nose to lower it (was way too high in the face) and also reduce its wideness a bit so she can be slightly agreable to look at while keeping her masculine/wild aura. Didn't touch to the body, it was already perfect with its flaws !

CRUMBLEJON 2.0

This one also needed badly a good update. Got his beard now integrated for better hairwork in color and texture fields, it took me a fucking while to make a new one different than those i had already done for luquin, chad or greenfinger. I also added one thing i never tried : 2 flesh bumps on his face only thanks to normal map direct editing and it's working pretty well imo. Speaking of which, his normal map was completely reworked, as a result : more realistic wrinkles and gaps on his face, shadow and light will now bounce smoothly on this old mug.

His .bod2 body file was also updated with the vanilla beard info gone and less atrocity on his legs (too thin that was almost no realistic).

RANE THE GIANT 2.0

Rane was the first unique recruit i covered for this mod. Long time passed by since then, and i tamed kenshi ways of modding and felt like she (and some few others) needed an update. Now has more defined and darker lips, has one more scar, old scars textures were improved (learnt to be better at that shit), few more hit stripes on her bone parts (eyebrows/cheek), and natural color stripes on her horns' ends and some few skin tone balancing.

Her body file was also slightly modified to give her more "broad" athletic shape, shoulder wideness and less dumb face.

EYE SCLERA BIG IMPROVEMENT

Second big update for today. Huge work again ... You thought this mod eyes were perfect ? Well they are even better now. Sharper Iris, clearer and more white scleras, eye texture also improved for somes. All basic and custom face texture for greenlanders (M & F) and scorchlanders (M & F) have been covered (yep ... that's a lot). You will see the difference without any doubt !

Take in consideration i could not give a more white sclera, because if you choose a darker skin ... the contrast goes crazy and is not feeling natural anymore. So now, after shit tons of testings, the final tone values here are, i believe, perfectly optimal !

MIU FACE TEXTURE IMPROVED

Miu was one of the first greenlander girl i worked on. It was a bit old and not keeping up with others. So i updated her with better skin, lips, and ofc eyes like seen previously. Her screenshot has also been updated.

AGNU, BURN, SADNEIL AND THE 8 OTHER VANILLA SKELETONS

Long time no see dear fans. It has been tough times for me, as i write this i'm still in bad shape, often have to go back to hospital for more "fix" and "search". At first i didn't want to work or create mod anymore, but it's been more than a month i am suffering so i told myself ... i gotta focus my mind on something else otherwise i ll go crazy.

So ... despite being in pain and depressed i finally manage to finish all Unique recruits ! These damn skeletons ... had to do a whole full body and head textures for each one of these. While trying stuff and all, i decided to remove that color scission that exist between body and head for vanilla models, it was just immersion breaking for me, so i thought you would enjoy that aswell.

Agnu was real fun to do, the rusty-crazy-clinging old model robot loaded with enthusiasm. I tried to give him a nice and detailed rust texture all over him. These are tiny details of weathering, writings, shade levels more controlled aswell. I just love the result he is my favourite. His body .bod2 was reviewed to give him a more fierce look (mainly longer and bigger legs).

Burn was begun a while ago, i never ceased to work on him, looking for a dark/burned metal robot theme. He was so badass he painted some of his parts with white pain (or someone else did ?). Oh and ... try to look for the radiation hazard logo somewhere ! This is by far the most complexe work of the 3. I even cracked/striped some parts if you look closely.

Sadneil was given a look refering to what i ll be later implementing with my dialogue mod. To sum things up, he is a walking miracle that should have shut down a long time ago. Abandoned, left under acid rain, you can almost smell the rust on his parts. I had fun to play with metal colors but in his case the mkII body prevented me to be at my best. The texture is so complexe you would take a year to understand it. I had hard time to harmonize his colors, please keep his "skin tone" value to 0.

Take all good care of yourselves, Health is indeed the most precious thing. I just hope to feel better but the road will be long i fear. Support me positively, and bring me more fans on that facebook page.

On that page, little note for the clever kids that spam comments against it, make fun of me or even insults me (yes there was ...) well let me peacefully tell you the truths you can't accept : There will always be assholes at a big compagny's head, no he is not a lizard-man, yes he got caught, yes your stance prolly comes from envy or medias, no you are not special by boycotting facebook, yes you and me would have done the same in his foot, no i don't like him or his face either, thousands of compagny already have your infos and your vpn or only browsing reddit won't prevent that don't be naive, you use a connected smartphone => you are done. Simple as that. Censorship ? Yes i hate it too but guess what, it also exists on reddit, discord and twitch. The only thing that doesn't have it : dark web, and guess what you can find there ... Facebook still is the widest social media by far (3.8 billion accounts, still is even with 6% fakes), and is unavoidable for grown up life (best business pool, art pool, customer fishing, dedicated pages). No i can't post complexe texts with Instagram. No, you won't change a shit by boycotting, boycott never has done anything btw. But, yeah, on the other side, if you overcome your phobia you can greatly help me and i'm reminding you i work for your pleasure for free. (This message was for the hater kids, not the supporting/kind people)

EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE

Due to recent testimonies in which some players could not recruit certain characters (Kang especially) in their new playthrough, i chose to remove the new edited lore friendly skills/stats and roll it back to vanilla since it appear it was the reason. This mod won't take care of that aspect anymore. A new separate mod will be created later for that purpose with ofc no single bugs confirmed, but i can't do it right away because i have health issue irl and stay mainly at hospital.

Why would i hold the idea to tweak stats of these unique recruits ? => To make them more special/unique. Basically, vanilla game had a douzain of boxes in which unique recruit were tossed pretty randomly and often without any logic and in unfair ways (some had lvl 1 everywhere). Instead i will make a personal "box" exclusive to each unique recruit, not really buffed or nerfed (except the useless ones), just different and fitting their lore and personalities i expect to add with my dialogue mod later on.

SINKLYDE

Sinklyde was a nice piece of work, i put on him all the skills i could to make a top notch shek face : 3 texture file array that adds copper rings around his horns, horns darkened, Tattoo small pattern on forehead and blossom near eye bottom edge, 3 scars (small on mouth, right side of skull, left nose-cheek), a bandage on the last scar with normal map for nice volumes, unique "copper" eyes to fit the horn metal rings ambiance, diverses correction, hits or weariness on bone parts.

Now all flesh unique recruits are done ... i'm gonna move on the last and hardest part : The 3 skeletons. Since my holidays are now over and these will require tremendous work, don't expect an update anytime soon. It might take week+days for each one.

UNIQUE RECRUIT STATS

All unique recruit starting stats has been corrected. They aren't generic anymore and each unique recruit has unique stats. Since you guys already have your habits and favourites, i stayed close to what the vanilla game forsee, some of them has almost no change at all (especially the ultimate like Yamdu, Bo, Luquin etc.). The one that previously had poor/dull/lvl1 stats have now minimal appealing, to be at least as advantageous as a generic new recruit with often one special high skill. Details won't be entirely displayed since it's a lot of data to show, instead i will show you later the biggest/most notable perks of each new recruit (give me the time to make that table and add it to mod screenshots).
These stats will ofc correlate with my upcoming dialogue mod where some discussion will point them out.

JEWEL AND STUBS MOMUSO

I think i finally succeeded to make the game embrace their respective bod2.file without glitching their special hybrid scorch/greenlander case. If there is any issue or if you get the mod on an old save, you still have my txt file to edit them manually through a surgeon service. But from now on, for all new game or full game import if they have not been recruited yet, their body and custom face should be automatically set on ! Yey !
