Version 19a

-Further adjustments to hero weapon Armor Penetration to improve combat (now is 50% of Three Kingdom's AP values, the rationale being that in the Bronze Age, the melee weapons were not as effective at penetrating armor).
-Adjusted hero arrow penetration effect of the projectile (not Armor Penetration value) to be one level lower, to reduce the "death ray" effect of ranged heroes arrows on soldiers.
-Adjusted the Commandments (aka. Edicts) effects to be more significant and worthwhile so that you should actually want to do other Commandments other than the increased resource gathering.

Update: 30 Dec, 2021 @ 9:16pm

Version 19∆

-Major update to heroes in mythological mode: the problem was that with the longer battles, the melee heroes didn't really feel very heroic - Achilles might only kill 5 to 10 enemy soldiers normally, and about 20 on a good day. Now all hero weapon damage and armor piercing values have been extensively adjusted to be comparable to Three Kingdoms. Now hero combat should feel more like Three Kingdoms, with melee mythological heroes now being able to kill over a 100 enemy soldiers in a battle, depending on the circumstances (putting them in a comparable battle effectiveness to ranged heroes) and hero vs hero melee combat is now much more exciting.
-Adjusted various hero special abilities regarding damage and armor piercing buffs so that they are now properly scaled to the new hero weapon stats (mentioned above).
-Adjusted the Heraklean Throw's rock so that it is now the size of a bolder, instead of the size of a tiny sling pebble.
-Various minor adjustments.

Version 18a

-Further adjustments to Ares' "Blood Thirsty God" buffs.
-Other small adjustments.

Update: 24 Dec, 2021 @ 2:12pm

Version 18

-Adjusted the javelin range again, this time it is now 60% of the original, and is more in line with the historical range.
-Further reduced the defense modifier for routed units (now 10%, instead of 20%).
-Replaced the giant skirmisher unit's javelin with a giant javelin (a spear), rather than having them throw a tiny normal sized javelin.
-Adjusted the Watchtower's effects on campaign movement of enemy armies to be 2x, in order to make it worth building and worth devoting a build slot to it.

Update: 23 Dec, 2021 @ 8:49pm

Version 17

-Reduced range of javelins to 75%. This was done to help represent their historical weakness at this point - they were not the javelins of the iron age, and otherwise they are the strongest ranged weapon in the game so it makes sense to limit their range so as to better stress the advantage of the bow and sling (range).
-Various minor adjustments and tweaks.

Update: 16 Dec, 2021 @ 4:07pm

Patch update.

Update: 9 Oct, 2021 @ 12:22am

Version 16b

-Adjustment to missile armor piercing divisors to make missiles a little less effective at penetrating armor (this is these are bronze age bows, slings and javelins after all).
-Slight adjustment to flank and rear defense penalty of units, to make them a little less vulnerable in both cases (the formations are not as strict in the bronze age).

Update: 30 Sep, 2021 @ 12:27pm

Version 16a

-Various minor tweaks.
-Reduced the rate of the constant and passive "battlefield healing" effect of Cerberus underworld units. Now it is 1/3 of the original game's rate, to compensate for the longer time combat takes.

Update: 25 Sep, 2021 @ 11:14pm

Version 16

-Made several balance adjustments to the Hydra poison arrows. Greatly reduced number of times per second that damage was checked on contact.
-Reduced the base effectiveness of the poison arrow so that it deals less damage (a little better than the worst arrow, but a little less than the average arrow). Also slightly reduced the velocity and accuracy, and halved the armor penetration, and increased its reload time by 150%. This was done because it makes sense that these arrows would have worse ballistic performance, being that they have poison on them.
