  • Fix rendering of Flash Grenade radius in Info Mode.
  • Tweak UI of global path/footprint controls. Cycling visiblity is now the primary button, with a secondary button to hide both.

v2.10.0

  • Renamed Vision Mode to Info Mode
  • Added Info Mode range indicators to Frost Spire and recapture-guards (Modded Mk I, etc)
  • Added Info Mode action to show/hide invidividual guard paths. Just like the show/hide guard vision action, hovering the icon temporarily hides all other paths.
  • New icons for some Info Mode actions.
  • Guard path colors are assigned the first time the player sees the guard, glimpses the guard, or sees an interest point. Should now be stable across save/reload/rewind. (Using debug reveal-all violates this, but only affects the colors. No sim RNG is used.)
  • Added footstep trails for what the player sensed from last turn's guard movement.
    • Default is "seen only" (also TAGs and pressure plates), senses that precisely show guard location as they move. May be switched in options to "full" to also include hearing. Camera/Pulse drones mechanically have no movement noise in vanilla; a lack of trails for them is not a bug.
    • Default display mode is "Enemy Turn Only". Footstep trails are drawn during the guard turn and then hidden during the player turn to reduce clutter. Buttons by the Info Mode button (or hotkey "h") allow cycling between "Paths > Trails > Both", resetting at end of turn.
    • Previously observed guard paths show "unconfirmed trails" for movement outside the range of player senses.
    • TAGged and Observed paths respect the vanilla behavior of only showing for tiles that the player has seen. Hearing-based trails can appear on unknown tiles.

  • Fix a possible crash with the added Henry support.
  • Warn about cases when a guard will track you onto a peripheral tile, despite the guard not currently overwatching. (Encountered while testing Henry, though possible to encounter in less common vanilla situations.) This has a distinct icon from the "You'll be shot" warning.

Adjustments for the Into the Breach mod, and one vanilla UI bug fix.

  • Fix rounding/fencepost error in the vanilla range visualization for distance-limited cloaks.
  • Properly predict ITB Henry's shenanigans for overwatch.
  • Account for ITB Henry's shenanigans for Step Carefully pathing. Notably, prefers scurry-escaping overwatch if available.

v2.9.4

  • Also apply the recent Sprint Noise indicator fix to "ghosts" of guards that are outside of LoS. Now they are also ignored if KOed.
  • Add a floor highlight (like AoE programs, EMP packs, etc) centered on the cursor when moving makes noise. To reduce visual clutter, this highlight is kept faint unless the planned movement would be heard (as per the previously added indicators).
  • If it's still too visually cluttered for anyone's taste, the in-game option (Escape -> Options -> UI Tweaks) allows disabling the unit indicators and radius highlights independently.
