Update: 27 Jan, 2023 @ 9:46pm

v2.8.1

  • Fix error (missing include) when using items/abilities with certain targeting highlights.
  • Drop unused animations file that was replaced with new images in v2.8.0.

Update: 10 Jan, 2023 @ 1:17pm

v2.8.0

  • Replace Tactical Lamp View's sight-block (tall cover) indicators. Now uses thin black panels along the inside walls of the cover sprite.
  • Fix brightness of Tactical Lamp View sprites to match vanilla tactical sprites.
  • Tactical sprites for clouds (instead of showing the same cloud effect for in-world and tactical views). Opaque clouds use similar black panels to the new sight-block sprites.
  • Into-the-Breach-style grid coordinates for proxy play. (Off by default)

Update: 30 Oct, 2022 @ 11:55pm

v2.7.0

* Mainframe-view firewall buttons float to avoid overlap.
* Can be disabled from the options menu if it causes lag. I tried to optimize it somewhat over the layout used by meatspace context actions, because mainframe buttons are usually both larger and more numerous. Let me know if it causes issues.
* Fixed a few unused base game decoration defs that are used by Neptune.
* (Currently tied to Tactical Lamp View. I might make it part of the default fixes in a later release.)
* The infamous twin bookcases that are off by 1 tile in half the camera orientations. Shifted the appearance, and added the missing tactical/mainframe renders.
* Fixed some 1-tile wall decorations that were incorrectly defined as 2-tiles wide. Should no longer be visible through walls when that extra tile ended up on the other side of a wall.

Update: 29 Oct, 2022 @ 12:32pm

v2.6.3

* Don't crash if MAA loaded between CBF and UITR.
* Use "MIA" status over "RESCUED" if you lost the agent.

Update: 27 Oct, 2022 @ 12:18am

v2.6.2

* Holding SHIFT also hides context actions.
* Helpful for moving or selecting agents in crowded areas.
* Can be disabled from the options menu.
* Vision mode improvements:
* Change hotkey back to a toggle.
* Hide all remaining non-vision mode actions, to reduce clutter. Bind hotkey abilities (peek, door, sprint, etc) separately to keep them available despite the normal buttons being hidden.
* Fix 'rescued' agent status in post-mission summary screen (credit: RaXaH)
* Fix edge cases where overwatch movement predictions were sometimes wrong for stepping past tall cover.

Update: 18 Oct, 2022 @ 12:21am

v2.6.1
* Move all mod settings to the Options dialog. Can now be changed mid-campaign (and in many cases mid-mission).
* Some options require reloading from the main menu to take effect. A warning is shown if these are modified mid-mission.
* UI Tweaks is also immediately active in campaigns that didn't start with the mod installed, with one exception. Doors While Dragging is the only feature that creates a sim-incompatible action, so is restricted to campaigns that have UI Tweaks as an enabled mod normally. The Options menu includes an option to disable UI Tweaks entirely (approximately as effective as the normal effect of disabling the mod in campaign options without uninstalling it), just in case.
* Absorb Tactical Lamp View (by Benjamin C. Lewis) into UI Tweaks
* Vision Mode: Add action to focus on a guard's current interest, if shown
* Allow grenade targeting highlighter to highlight known but not-currently-seen cells

Update: 2 Oct, 2022 @ 8:24pm

v2.5.0

* Overwatch Warnings are now available for abilities.
* All vanilla abilities except for melee/shoot (which use a very different tooltip) should be supported.
* Modders can set `triggersOverwatch` as a flag on custom abilities. (More details at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/2660875942/3360272431834610212/)
* Tooltip warnings using `COLOR_WATCHED_BOLD` now only apply that color to the warning's title. The warning's body text is rendered in white to be more legible against the dark blue-grey background.

Update: 2 Oct, 2022 @ 12:50am

v2.4.1

* Restrict overwatch warnings for movement to only track threats the player can see or has an accurate ghost echo for (same requirement as the player being able to use the vanilla shift keybind). This prevents leaking the location of unseen skip-overwatch guards (in modded content).

Update: 25 Sep, 2022 @ 11:54pm

v2.4.0

* New feature: Additional visual highlights for the currently selected agent (default: glowing floor tile + alternate tactical view color).
* Bug fix: Don't re-pick up bodies after using a door if we've been shot.

Update: 23 Sep, 2022 @ 10:18am

v2.3.3
* Don't break for armed drones without peripheral vision.
