The Silent Cartographer: Evolved - Version 1.1.6

Bug fixes in this update:

  • Worked around an issue preventing some detail objects from rendering.

Known MCC engine issues (only 343 can fix these):
  • Vehicle camera speed on controller is too slow, especially in "Classic" control mode. (This is unrelated to the vehicle turn speed, which works as intended.)
  • Dialogue and ambient sound mixing is too quiet. (We've mitigated this as best we can.)
  • All environment geometry disappears if the render limit is exceeded.
  • HUD elements are severely darkened when HUD Style is forced to "Remastered." (We strongly recommend setting HUD Style to "Auto.")
  • Small inconsistencies in drop pod weapon positioning.
  • Holstered weapons on a third-person unit stutter briefly when switched.
  • "Foreign", "Grunt Birthday Party", and "Grunt Funeral" skulls are non-functional.

Known Halo CE engine issues (only 343 can fix these):
  • Weapons have incorrect aim and no zoom function when used in a Warthog's passenger seat.
  • Co-op players lose their current vehicle if teleported on a BSP switch.
  • Co-op teleportation sometimes orients the teleported player in inconvenient directions.
  • Garbage collection is sometimes overeager in densely populated areas.
  • Covenant shield barrier doesn't regenerate if disabled by a vehicle impact.
  • All VFX disappear if the dynamic geometry limit is exceeded.
  • Devices sometimes have too-dark or too-bright lighting in interior areas.
  • Lens flares on holstered weapons are visible in first-person.
  • Occasional artifacts in real-time-reflective surfaces.

Known TSC:E issues:
  • Possible object-overload crashes if the player avoids killing as many units as possible.
  • Rare instances of phantom geometry.
  • Hunters can become stuck on tight geometry if deliberately baited.
  • Potential soft-locking map escapes in tight areas with moving devices, if deliberately invoked.
