Version 1.4

-Now expanded the mod to deal with some of the most egregious campaign map sounds.
-On the campaign map, the worst level by far was the corruption sound loops (the looping sound played when the land was corrupted). Reduced the volume of all of these by 50% now. It was so bad before that you couldn't even hear the music when it was turned up in volume -- too noisy. Now the effect is more subtle, allowing you to hear more details.
-The next worst sound level on the campaign map was the wind and wildlife, now reduced by half as well to make it more subtle and less ear-violating.
-Increased the volume of some major terrain feature type sounds on the campaign map to make them more noticeable (water falls, volcanoes).

Version 1.3

-The birds. I don't know who is responsible, but the birds! I think this might be a result of city folk not knowing what an actual forest sounds like. It sounded like there were 10,000 birds in each tree, at least in the elven forest. Some of said birds were singing every 0.5 seconds, all at 100% probability. Now instead of all birds singing 100% probability every 0.5 to 30 seconds, they now are randomly varied in probability and increased in time interval to be more realistic.

Why are the bird sounds so important to audio design? Because the birds are heard CONSTANTLY in battle. They don't stop singing. I would have made them stop singing with activity in an area (combat, movement etc) but that doesn't happen, so during the battle you have a ridiculous cacophony of birds layered over all the other sounds, making a huge mess of noise. Now you are able distinguish between the different birds and wildlife sounds rather than a constant drone of noise (your ears can now make out individual sounds).

(Think of audio design like an arms race. If the bottom layer of the audio is very loud, then everything else has to be even louder, and you end up losing detail at the top end as everything ends up just being LOUD).

Version 1.2

-Reworked the melee sound mixing, now melee combat should be more dynamic, detailed and noticeable.
-Further adjusted battlefield vocal levels. Now using levels more similar to Troy Total War (an audio masterpiece). This is very apparent with the "unit selection voices", where you choose the unit and hear the unit commander shouting. The sound level is now much more pleasant on the ears, allowing you to hear the actual battle.
-Adjusted the meta data for many battle sound effects to make them more noticeable and dynamic.

-Reduced the volume of the bird chirping in the forests during battle (it was ear piercing).
-Increased the distance in which you could hear arrows and bolts flying by your POV.

Notable changes:

-Removed the gut wrenching, ear bleeding constant female "melee" screaming, when female units are in melee. You still get the charging screams and others, though. The problem here is that these screams are just so loud that they drown out everything else (because of the high frequency of the sound).
-Doubled the projectile flyby sound radius.
