Version 1.4

  • The entire insect/alien enemies have been overhauled, and the entire wave system has been completely changed. Spawning distance has been increased, 24 Hour notice of attacks to prepare for them. Detailed information on the attack incoming for every species, with a info panel that shows weaknesses and strengths per attack wave. Enemies now have elemental weaknesses and buffs, aswell as capable of inflicting specific health conditions such as ''Poison'' etc. They've all been buffed to match with the power of Project-X weaponry and defenses. Each current species and new species that has been added all have specific details included in there researched info that will give you information on the vulnurabilities and possible element inflictions they can cause. Researching every species is 100% worthwhile now as it will contain valuable information on how to prepare for the enemy. Alongside this you will get a 24 hour notification period before being attacked, giving you plenty of time to prepare yourself and adapt to the change of opponents. Events and attacks will also happen in a reactive manner, no longer randomly, but more so reactive to your own actions making it feel like what you do is actually going to impact your crew members. Alongside this to accomodate for the 'Continuity' aspect, the tameable creatures lifespan has been changed from 130 days to 3000-4000 days so the effort of taming them is worthwhile for the bonuses they offer. Some species now give additional rare bonuses and resources but are harder to tame, rewarding you for actually going through the effort of taming. This also gives you time to actually bond with the animal and a reason to give them a name. Some new animals can produce rare materials required for the new tech trees so it is totally worthwhile! See below for detailed changes. WARNING: Enemies are now alot tougher and resistant, but on Project-X moon and scenario they come in smaller numbers and less frequent so it balances out. You need to be more specific and careful, aswell as strategically plan ahead.

  • Not just that, but another new skill! With new waves of enemies, I wanted to change the butchering loot table to be more rewarding and to specify the role of a -Biologist-. Now every animal has been re-written to drop extra organs and alien bodily fluids that can be dissected by a Biologist and used to speed up your progress towards contraband items and other end game content. By introducing another method of progressing down the other tech trees, its also given you a reason to be slightly more excited about attack waves and rewarding you depending on the difficulty of the enemies. It gives a purpose to the waves as you just don't know what they could have that could give your Biologist a huge breakthrough! Butchering now feels even more rewarding.

  • All Project-X expeditions now work on every scenario.
  • The entire UI has been overhauled for Project-X items only, icons changed to fit 'Project-X' general theme on every item introduced under 'Project-X'.
  • All character's have received a portrait edit so that they all match color wise and feel more holographic. Some characters have received new portraits.
  • Contraband and Trade categories moved over to the right side of the panel beside ''Defense'' and before ''Manage''. No longer obnoviously sticking out before ''Orders''.
  • Fixed Supply Vegetables so it no longer freezes the ''Trading Shuttle'' on production.
  • Added a new description to advanced hydro rack.
  • All breakthroughs have had icons replaced.
  • All breakthroughs have been enabled for the mod no matter what seed you are playing.
  • Added research level on the information of all Project-X research techs, so now you will be able to see if you have the required requirement where as before it didn't show.
  • All tameable animals listed at the bottom have had the years of life greatly increased.

  • New Activity and Schedule function 'Biologist'.
  • New Research and Buildings ''Lab Desk'' and ''Lab Fridge''.

  • Animals listed below have had there butchering time increased between 4-9 hours depending on difficulty and loot of the creature. This then makes the Biology skill and traits worthy of being used in replacement of standard butchering so that you can obtain the resources before decomposing.

  • Change pain to (Plus) and not (Minus) on some health conditions as they were reducing pain when they should've added pain. Fixed.
  • Years of Experience trait now adds the +45%, before it didnt.
  • Burning has been moved to a trap effect instead of temperature. Was getting triggered by heat temperature, fixed. Now is triggered by explosive traps.
  • Animal Whisperer has been tweaked, should have an increased chance of taming now.

  • All moons have been fixed so now attack waves work. Project-X Moon has an Initial attack at 8 days, then attacks happen between every 10-20 days depending on difficulty set. Base moons work as normal.

  • Moon 'Project-X' has been changed slightly. Cooldowns of attacks have been lowered.
  • Removed small research icons until file pathing issue is fixed by the devs. For now they just display what is unlocked without icons.
  • Fixed new expeditions to give rewards.
  • Shortened the expedition time required to activate 'Recruit New Crewmember'. The expedition should appear shortly after searching for expeditions with the balloon before 3 months.
  • Fixed 'NightCrawler' trait so characters gain boosts during night.
