  • Failing the Divided Monarchists journal no longer allows you to preserve the monarchy
  • Updated Head of Government character view in Overview tab in the Politics menu (fadeout to black along the bottom now sits under the window border instead of on top of it)

  • The monarchy will now automatically be abolished or maintained when the government changes due to a coup - a figurehead monarch in a Crowned Republic will remain the monarch if a monarchist coup occurs, and the monarchy will be automatically abolished in coups that move off of Monarchy
  • Fixed the Head of Government's portrait in the Overview tab in the Government panel being blurry and having the incorrect lighting
  • Fixed localization for Crowned Republic duchies
  • Added logic to block Crowned Republics in certain situations; currently, the only one is the Baltic Governates whilst under Russia

  • French crowned republic titles now correctly care if the Legitimists or Orleanists were the reigning monarchy at the time of switching to a crowned republic
  • Changed logic for some dynamic country names and map colors
    • France should no longer become "French Republic" when becoming a crowned republic
    • Relevant countries should keep their monarchy colors when becoming a crowned republic with the presidential or parliamentary republic laws
    • Some countries will still change colors if they become a crowned republic with the council republic law
  • Added game rule to pick whether you want them to be called "Crowned Republics" or "Constitutional Monarchies"
  • Potentially fixed a problem where the GUI would show duplicate elements if a subject of a monarchy became a crowned republic or constitutional monarchy themselves

Puppets, dominions, and vassals of monarchies without a hereditary transfer of power will now display their overlord's monarch in the government screen. This is purely a visual effect and they do not affect any consequential features, e.g., legitimacy.

  • (EN players only) Fixed characters belonging in the Head of Government's interest group erroneously showing the Head of Government's title at the top of their character interaction panel.
  • Head of Government legitimacy modifier handling has been improved to fire more reliably, more often, and to give larger legitimacy bonuses than just a flat +10 depending on your Distribution of Power laws.
  • Adjusted flag and clothing triggers such that they should potentially cause fewer conflicts with mods trying to overwrite vanilla flag and clothing triggers.
  • Adjust fascism flag trigger such that countries with a fascist Head of Government with Autocracy or Single Party State also count as fascist nations (enjoy your Italy roleplaying).
  • Fixed some vanilla country names and colors that activate with monarchies not activating with Crowned Republics
  • Tweaked changes made to GUIs to slightly improve mod compatibility.
  • AI now gets a large modifier towards abolishing the monarchy if they abolished it via the regicide event.
