Update?
Smile 28 Jul @ 10:09pm
yeah that's what i meant that could be it, good luck man and great mod i love it can't believe it's not in the game by default
1230james  [author] 28 Jul @ 8:59pm
I'd have to look into it but I recall seeing that the historical Persian monarchs having unique outfits, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I'll make a note to investigate it.
Smile 28 Jul @ 8:30pm
yes Iran/Persia specifically,
i'm not educated enough to make a guess on this but what i've noticed about this country specifically is that their royal attire changes twice, once when Naser Al-Din Shah takes charge, and then reverts back once his heir takes charge.
1230james  [author] 28 Jul @ 8:25pm
Is this happening with a specific country?
Smile 28 Jul @ 7:48pm
hey i noticed a new issue, royals stop wearing royal garments even though i stuck with them through the mod and kept them as a figure head.
Smile 26 Jul @ 2:33pm
thats awesome thansk for letting me know
1230james  [author] 26 Jul @ 12:03pm
Theocracies are excluded, so no to that

Fascist is fine - both an authoritarian presidential republic with a fascist PM or an authoritarian corporate state should work fine
Smile 26 Jul @ 4:23am
this is a very cool mod but does it also support fascist and theocratic government types especially in the case of Japan?
1230james  [author] 12 Jul @ 12:13pm
Only the monarch, unfortunately. Modifiers from character traits are entirely handled by the game engine & isn't scriptable behavior beyond defining the modifiers in the traits. Since the monarch is still technically the ruler and the PM is, as far as the game is concerned, just a random politician, you can only have the benefits from the monarch's traits and never the PM's.
Pury 12 Jul @ 3:09am
Hello. Does the nation benefits itself from both the Monarch and the Prime Minister (PM) personal traits? Or just the Monarch applies its modifiers? Or just the PM

Thanks
NotAimingAtAll 11 Jul @ 10:56am
It mostly still works, the only issue I noticed was that the button to change views from the Head of State to Head of Government isn't there, but everything else is.
Isaiah 10 Jul @ 8:44am
fix
1230james  [author] 9 Jul @ 7:24pm
Might be mostly functional? There are known code changes I need to make though so if something breaks, don't say you weren't warned
letnanlight 8 Jul @ 8:37pm
this mod will still work in 1.9 version?
asdf 27 Jun @ 7:32pm
I still waiting for your return.
ZhaoFJx 26 Jun @ 4:11pm
Take your time and looking forward to seeing the update!
1230james  [author] 15 Jun @ 3:10pm
(Copypasting this across some of my mods)

Vic3 1.9 will release this coming Tuesday. As with previous major updates, a 1.9 update for this mod may take several weeks or months because I am a solo developer with a full-time job working 10+ hours Monday through Thursday. Progress during the work week will be rather slow, and I have over two dozen mods to check & verify whether anything needs to be changed, and then make any necessary changes.

The upcoming tweaks to certain things like decisions and scripted buttons will mean that more of my mods will be impacted this time around, so it may take quite some time.

Please be patient while I work on updating all of my mods. Thank you!

Change your Governance Principles law from Monarchy to Presidential Republic, Parliamentary Republic, Council Republic, or Corporate State

You will get an event asking what to do with the monarch. Choose the option to preserve the monarchy.
letnanlight 10 Jun @ 7:28am
How to have pm?
1230james  [author] 5 Jun @ 6:13pm
I would recommend using the Visual Leaders mod with the RRK compatch for that. One of the things VL does is display all the IG leaders of a country in the country panel when you click on them, and the compatch tweaks VL a little bit to add a Prime Minister label under the portrait of whoever their Prime Minister is, if they have one.

Alternatively you can also go to their Domestic tab and start clicking through their IGs and checking their leaders. Whoever the Prime Minister is will have their role (right under their name) say "Prime Minister of <country>" as opposed to "Politician in <country>".

Adding a title to their name in places like the character tooltip is not something I want to do since that would require more GUI or localization changes that I don't want to make in the interest of compatibility with other mods.
Hamarhofud 5 Jun @ 3:36pm
Is there no way to see who the Prime Minister of other nations is? Adding the titel "prime minister" before the name of a nations prime minister would be nice
1230james  [author] 2 Jun @ 2:40am
They're right there in the Overview and Government tabs in the Politics panel?
Mr.Wolf ♔ 1 Jun @ 11:03pm
How can you see the prime ministers of the constitutional monarchies? I saw the UK and Brazil and they have only their heirs when i click on them
1230james  [author] 9 Mar @ 7:54pm
I probably could if I tried hard enough but that'd be beyond the scope of this mod (which has already grown more than I'd originally intended).

I'd recommend checking out the Better Politics Mod for something like that since they have a more bespoke mechanic that'd be better suited for handling what you're asking for.
COMBINEDFRUIT 9 Mar @ 5:26pm
In fact, parliamentary republics are similar to constitutional monarchies in that the head of government actually holds power. Can you apply the prime minister mechanism to a parliamentary republic?
COMBINEDFRUIT 9 Mar @ 5:23pm
Great mod. Thank you so much!
Tortellobello45 23 Feb @ 9:08am
Finally! Thanks for the update
The Interrogator 23 Feb @ 6:47am
yooo thanks m8
1230james  [author] 22 Feb @ 10:57pm
Updated for 1.8! Sorry for the huge delay, and thanks for your patience.

Crowned Republics can be formed with Corporate State.
Issues related to the Divided Monarchists journal should also be resolved now.
Please check the change log for the full list of changes (there's a decent amount of tweaks & fixes) and let me know if you run into any bugs!
jackson 1 Feb @ 7:53am
BPM provide the same function now which means you no longer need to combine it with Rally Around the King
1230james  [author] 20 Jan @ 6:07pm
Can I? Yes
Will I? Probably not
theconquererlbensolo 20 Jan @ 5:28pm
I don't know if this question has been asked or not, probably has, but can you make it so the president also has a prime minister?
Luc4F 15 Dec, 2024 @ 6:58pm
@1230james Ok, thanks for the answer.
1230james  [author] 15 Dec, 2024 @ 1:21pm
This was never designed to be compatible with BPM and it never will be, especially since BPM now has its own Heads of Government feature.

I don't use BPM so I will still maintain this going forwards as long as I don't quit Vic3.
Luc4F 15 Dec, 2024 @ 12:21am
Is still compatible with BPM 2.3 or is deprecated? I'm interested about the possibility to keep the king in case of successful revolution (especially in Italy as Risorgimento mechanics) but I see two different prime ministers in the political screens.
1230james  [author] 13 Dec, 2024 @ 7:16pm
Noted; I'll have it a look at it when I get around to updating this
ZhaoFJx 13 Dec, 2024 @ 5:38pm
Hello! I really enjoy this mod so I translated it into Chinese then more people can enjoy it :Khappy: I opened a pull request on your GitHub repository, let me know if there is anything unclear :P
mamelou 8 Dec, 2024 @ 3:09pm
Hey great mod but i have a question if i put the théocratic law can i have the choice to keep my king/emperor ? i really want to build a sort of culte of my monarch
1230james  [author] 29 Nov, 2024 @ 1:55pm
Hasn't been updated for 1.8 yet so no, but this is a good reminder for me to make sure I make a note to do it
LegoStego 29 Nov, 2024 @ 1:21pm
does this work with corporate states?
1230james  [author] 23 Nov, 2024 @ 2:10pm
They're primarily just a cosmetic thing. The point of this mod is to let you keep the monarch in otherwise non-monarchic governments, not add Heads of Government mechanics. I would recommend the Better Politics Mod for that.

RRK does have special modifiers for legitimacy if you have a Prime Minister/Premier with a different IG than the monarch, though. Putting the PM's IG in government will grant you a similar legitimacy bonus in lieu of the "head of state's IG in government" bonus in that case, although it requires you to make the actual government reform first (i.e. it's not reflected in the previews).
eeleono 22 Nov, 2024 @ 8:03pm
why the prime minister dont give any buff?
1230james  [author] 16 Nov, 2024 @ 10:33pm
(Reposting this across my bigger mods)

Just FYI I will be busy with family things for the whole of this week, so I will not be able to get a 1.8 version out (or do a 1.8 compatibility check on the existing version) for launch day or for several days following the update. Sorry for any inconveniences this might cause.
Gihren Zabi 9 Oct, 2024 @ 11:24am
does this work with victoria TOTAL MOD?
1230james  [author] 12 Aug, 2024 @ 7:43am
They're generally not supposed to
TheQuickRaven 12 Aug, 2024 @ 7:42am
The prime minister don't give any buff
tricky 11 Aug, 2024 @ 7:34pm
ah ok, I just was thinking about democratizing the Papal states and keeping the Pope with a PM
1230james  [author] 11 Aug, 2024 @ 5:40pm
Nothing would stop me technically but I just thought it would be a bit peculiar since I don't think there were any examples of "parliamentary theocracies" from the time period.
tricky 11 Aug, 2024 @ 5:12pm
do you think you could extend the PM thing to theocracies when/if you democratize? Like the Papal States, Tibet, Taiping etc?
