Update: 17 Aug, 2024 @ 3:52pm

- the governor entry age is now more flexible and different depending on your government system:
tribal: 28, monarchy: 30, republic: 35, Roman republic: 36
But there are execeptions to characters with high experience and characters from the royal family or married to the royal family. Soon I will add possibilities to lower his value a bit by inventions.

Also added with this update:
- you can marry or engage your mistress now if both are not married
- some UI tweeks
- a lot of corrections for Greek and some Latin province names
- debug button removed

- made the debug button a bit smaller

- added spanish with a lot of proxy english

Governor Selection Update:
- Now, selecting a governor uses my new and freshly rewritten windows with more filter options replacing the old hardcoded one completely
- You can now select governors from the Overview/Governorship window by clicking the empty portrait if there is no governor
- Governors have more limitations for getting selected:
- they need to be 35 or older
- they need to have had another office before (Monarchy and Republic #cursus_honorum )
- they get access to this job automatically if they are part of the royal family (Monarchy only)
- you can give direct access to the governor office to characters of 35 or older via a new character interaction OR directly in the governor selection menu by clicking on a new sub-button there. This way a Roman governor doesn't become a Proconsul but a Propraetor. (This difference is immersive only, for now at least)

Other additions, changes and fixes:
- 16 new flavour events about the history of the Greek Poleis in Sicily and southern Italy aka Magna Graecia (They will be part of a small mission tree for those city states later but you can get them if you own these cities)
- governors and rulers in diplomatic view are using a new portrait icon now
- added the three religions from the Timeline Extension mod including Christianity. You still need the other mod (load before Reanimata) but now Christian characters get a nice icon from Victoria 3 and Manichean characters an icon from CK3
- Pyrrhos and all other former rulers have a working permission automatically
- the music player is fixed now and there is a new button to skip the current song
- bribing a governor is harder now and not possible if they are wealthy already (added a new character interaction for this and disabled the older one for governors)
- fixed some performances bugs
- improved four vanilla tooltips for adding more information and details of immersion
- seriously ill characters can no longer be selected for office or a governorship

Update: 10 Aug, 2024 @ 5:32am

The office selection window has been completely reworked and replaced the hardcoded vanilla one (for now, only the 12 offices; tribal countries still have the old buttons, but I will add them later). I will do the same for governors and admirals as long as I can get the code done. I was not able to do that for researchers as there is no code for setting a character into a tech position, apparently. :(

New Features for Offices and Office Selection:
- You can now filter for scorned characters.
- You can filter for available characters only, so you don’t have to scroll over characters who are too young.
- Some negative traits are now visible as a warning since they are bad for the offices.
- some now icons appear when a char is disloyal or has free hands.
- like the governors before you cannot remove an officer anymore if he has free hands.
- Three new office events regarding negative traits (dumb, incapable, and lapsed for religious offices).
- Moved an older office event from the random events to a regular pulse, so after ten years, an officer gets an experience bonus.

Other Stuff:

- Recalculated and reworked the internal conversion system of pops when a country shifts to Hellenistic from unreal Macedonian culture. It is still a compromise to real history and some weird decisions made by Paradox…
- Finished the territory overview tab for all your territories.
- Added a button to add territories of subject nations to this list for comparison/immersion.
- All cultural decisions now have an icon for easier recognition.
- Vastly improved ~50 Greek province names in Italy. Until now, I thought the vanilla ones from Paradox were more or less correct, but it seems no one from Paradox has ever looked anything up. Thanks to Strabo and several inscriptions, we know the Greek names for almost all the cities very well. But why should Paradox use their time to look anything up in a primary source when they can make up fantasy names?^^
