Balance Changes
- The mod's tear effects can now be copied by Fate's Reward.
- Fast Die's quick reroll can no longer be cheated out using Butter.
- The Fast Die that can reappear after a quick reroll occurs can no longer be affected by Damocles or Glitched Crown.
- Purple Melon is now capped to activate a number of times per frame, equal to the number of enemies that initially spawn in the room.
- Purple Melon can no longer affect Bulbs or Clickety Clacks spawned by Clutch.
- Refraction tears can no longer collide with the enemy they originate from.
- Tears spawned via Refraction now have the angle they travel chosen less randomly.
- Refracted enemies can now refract Refraction tears, resulting in them spawning a Refraction tear with 2x the damage. Refractception!
- The following enemies can no longer become Refracted: Minecarts, Peep's eyes, Gutted Fatty's eyes, and Singe's Balls
- Increased the area of effect of the Eternal D1 locust's effect.

Bug Fixes
- Fully recoded Smoky Chest.
- Several minor performance upgrades!
- Updated the mod's save manager.
- Sunflower's stat ups now update immediately on pickup, instead of upon entering a new room.
- Fixed Plasma Whip's whip being fired in the opposite direction in the Mirror World.

Mod Compatibility
- Smoky Chest is now compatible with Astragali from Furtherance.
- Fixed Smoky Chest spawns being able to be replaced with Fiend Folio's Shop Chests and Glass Chests.
- Fixed Blood Pact not granting a damage up when more than 1 heart container is sacrificed at a time with CHAPI (Fiend Folio, Repentance+, etc. etc.)
- One new splash text to inform the populus that this mod was made by the Grass guy




- Added Testificate Chest. Do not spawn it.

Additions
- Added a menu for the mod using REPENTOGON's ImGUI system. It can be accessed using the same button as the debug console, in a tab at the top, as an alternative to Dead Sea Scrolls.

Balance Changes
- Decreased the weight of Wishing Orb in the Treasure Room: 1 -> 0.5
- The player now releases a line of blood creep upon taking damage from Glass Cannon .
- Slightly reduced the frequency of Return To Sender's red heart projectile releasing creep, mainly to mitigate lag.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed several bugs relating to Angelic Wing not causing its flight to be properly lost.
- Fixed items that spawned others of a specific quality being unseeded and depleting pools faster than intended.
- Fixed uncommon errors caused by the mod's Epic Fetus synergies.
- Fixed Red Square's room restart effect heavily breaking on custom StageAPI rooms.
- Fixed Mask enemies being able to gain the Refraction debuff.
- Fixed displayed splash texts not disappearing faster upon entering new rooms outside of the very first starting room.
- Fixed an inaccuracy with Giant Purple Pill's description (only recharges one active item, not all of them).

Thank you all for checking out the update and all that it has to offer! And reporting any problems with the mod. Oh yeah, we fixed some:

Additions
- Added Epic Fetus synergies for: Crystal Shard, Broken Snowglobe, Cavity, Spore Sac, Serpens, Cosmic Pearl

Balance Changes
- White Key now grants +1 key on pickup (credit to stampede of bulls for the idea)
- Nail Clippers can now self-damage the player regardless of i-frames, no longer requiring the player to wait until their i-frames run out to damage them.
- Earworm quality: 2 -> 1
- When used in the starting room of The Chest or Dark Room, Wishing Orb now requires a total of 4 or less item pedestals and chests to spawn a chest, rather than just 4 or less items.
- Tweaked a couple rooms that were more unfair from certain entrances.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed the mod's shaders breaking on non-NVIDIA GPUs.
- Fixed the mod's scheduled functions breaking with Glowing Hourglass.
- Fixed Black Lipstick being present in the Smoky Chest pool twice (history repeats itself).
- Added a blacklist for Purple Melon, fixing entities like Shopkeepers being visually affected by the item, and certain enemies being rerolled unfairly.
- Fixed Purple Melon affecting permanently charmed enemies.
- Fixed enemies teleported by Cosmic Pearl having their sprites rendered on the opposite side in the Mirror dimension.
- Fixed the combination of Cryberry/Nothing Burger + Death's Touch + C Section making the fetus tears small instead of bigger.
- Broken Snowglobe tears are now a deeper darker blue.
- Fixed Onyx The Tower still doing its Tarot Cloth effect even if Tarot Cloth was removed.

Mod Compatibility
- Onyx The Sun can now consume Morbid Heart pickups from Fiend Folio.
- Added compatibility with the Grocery Bag item from Foks's Booster Pack.
- Added crafting recipes for Angry Red Button, Cosmic Pearl, and Fancy Pants for the T. Cain Rework mod.
- Fixed Onyx Emperor rooms with Chastity from God's Gambit not spawning Chastity Keys.

And don't forget the mod's best splash text: "If Pride Month is so good, where's Pride Year"!

v2.0: The Flashflame Update

After much wait, much toil, and much... getting out of our comfort zones and losing sleep over it, the 2.0 update to Battle Fantasy is here! Featuring tons of new content (more than DOUBLING the size of the mod!), refreshes to existing content from version 1, and even a few secrets and curveballs! Hope you enjoy, somewhat spoiler free changelogs incoming:

New Additions

Refreshed Additions and Changes

  • Eden's Tears' effects are now categorized into combat and utility effects. When an effect is chosen, it has a 1/3 chance of being a utility effect, and 2/3 to be a combat effect.
  • When Eden's Tears replicates Gimpy, its effect is now guaranteed instead of chance based.
  • When Eden's Tears replicates Spirit Burner, it now has a 50% chance to fail.
  • Eden's Tears has one new possible effect.
  • Hands of Heaven now does nothing upon activated with 0 Eternal Hearts stored, instead of spawning Dead Sea Scrolls.
  • Hands of Heaven can now replace Golden Battery drops with Eternal Hearts.
  • Phyrnna's Lyre tears now have increased splash damage radius based on the tear's size, also resulting in better AoE overall.
  • Music Note familiars now deal double damage when they disappear if the player has BFFs.
  • Lucky Pennies spawned by Spirit Burner are now replaced with either random coins or nickels if lucky pennies haven't been unlocked.
  • Recoded Spirit Burner to allow mod devleopers to add their modded soulstones to the item's effects. Certain mods have compatibility already included on Battle Fantasy's end. (Fiend Folio, Retribution, Samael, Andromeda, Mastema, and Sheriff)
  • The stats from the aura from Hallowed Ground/Star of Bethlehem now overrides the stats from Holy Flames' aura.
  • When standing in a holy aura, White Habanero now has halved proc chance.
  • Changed the flame size scaling formula for White Habanero (previously scaled exponentially unintentionally, is now logarithmic as intended, i.e. more damage = less scaling).
  • Increased the damage of Holy Bombs' lasers (8 -> 13).
  • Holy Bombs now synergize with Locusts of War.
  • Bombs from the synergy between Holy Bombs and Scatter Bombs now have a smaller aura size and laser width.
  • A Breeze From Home's synergy with Book of Virtues has been completely reworked, and the wisp it spawns also features a new sprite.
  • Added new sound effects for Spore Sac, Shattered Headphones, and Phyrnna's Lyre.

Bug Fixes
  • Completely recoded stats systems for the mod. Modded range ups now account for any vanilla range multipliers. Fixed stat ups not properly accounting for Tainted Bethany, Hallowed Ground auras, and Reverse Chariot card.
  • Added a setting to allow certain items from the mod to respect the tears softcap. Keep in mind that this is an EXPERIMENTAL setting since some vanilla items can't be accounted for - so expect certain items that break the tears cap having their bonuses delayed with this setting on, such as Brittle Bones, Void, Consolation Prize, etc. It may also unintentionally fail with certain modded items, so keep this in mind as well.
  • Fixed several features that scaled off the damage stat gaining too much damage from Ipecac.
  • Fixed a large amount of effects that triggered on entering a new floor also triggering when a saved game is continued.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when the mod's scheduler attempts to activate an effect that was scheduled in a previous run that ended in death.
  • Fixed some of the mod's items not being seeded properly.
  • Fixed the mod's tear effect items getting double the intended luck from Teardrop Charm.
  • Fixed rooms from Burning Basement, Flooded Caves, and Dank Depths not appearing, due to having the wrong stb name.
  • Fixed Lost Jacob's permanent flight not being able to override Angelic Wing's temporary flight.
  • Fixed certain colors of the Astraea costume loading as a black square.
  • Fixed Blazing Iris's fire in their familiar sprite not loading, which would generally occur in minimal mod setups.
  • Fixed damage multiplier synergies from Cavity (with Wrapped Candy & Apple) being evaluated earlier than intended.
  • Fixed Crystal Shard being able to trigger on Maw laser rings.
  • Fixed Fast Die not replicating D6 if the first item in the room it detected was an empty pedestal or Dad's Note.
  • Fixed Hands of Heaven not being able to replace new battery pickups that spawn in already entered rooms.
  • Fixed Healing Spell's all stat up not applying if its effect is activated without having the item.
  • Fixed being able to maintain the stat ups from a Holy Flame or Holy Bomb by entering a new room while present in its aura.
  • Fixed most Mouthwash costumes being 1 pixel offset.
  • Fixed Nail Clippers being able to target invulnerable enemies like fire places.
  • Spirit Burner now automatically reorders your consumable slots after a soul stone is placed into it.
  • Fixed a softlock that would occur when losing Spore Sac while it paralyzes the player.
  • Fixed the horn on Succubus Horn's costume not moving when the player shot to the left.
  • Fixed Wrapped Candy sometimes producing an error when a secondary character spawns in with it in their inventory.
  • Fixed Guppy's Head being present in the Sushi pool twice.
  • Fixed Golden OCD's stat ups not respecting multipliers.
  • Updated and fixed code which handled Fiend Folio item pool compatibility.

Kinda neglected the release version for a little bit, my bad... here's some much needed bug fixes and small features.

Additions
  • Added an Abyss synergy for Holy Bombs (spawns a homing locust that has a chance to explode when hitting enemies)
  • Added an Abyss synergy for Serpens (locust has a high chance to poison enemies it hits)

Bug Fixes - Many
  • Updated the mod's save manager, this should fix an error that would occur whenever The Siren is killed
  • The mod's damage stat ups now properly account for Tainted Bethany's stat down multiplier, Dead Eye, and D8
  • The mod's tears stat ups now properly account for Tainted Bethany, Epiphora, and D8
  • Fixed the mod's tear effects not synergizing with each other
  • Fixed Building Block causing the player's head to disappear briefly on pickup if its effect activated while the player was moving
  • Fixed Building Block's on pickup effect not activating if the player has Isaac's Heart
  • Fixed the synergy between Cavity and Apple! not taking into effect immediately if Cavity is picked up first, then Apple! second
  • Fixed the effect of Demonic Brace and Natalie's Ribbon activating constantly on hearts with a price tag
  • Fixed temporary familiars spawned by Eden's Tears sometimes persisting between rooms
