A lot of new content this update. Our first roll out of insignia with a focus on the Congo and the first of many coming props.

A new faction in the Simbas. The Simba (aka Orientale) revolt in the Congo started late 63. Fairly rapidly it overran more than half of the country and a People's Republic was declared. The government forces - the Armée National Congolaise (ANC) - collapsed quickly and often towns fell without a fight. Large numbers of ANC soldiers deserted and joined the Simbas. In the first stage this and overrun army bases were the source of most Simba weapons. Even so most Simbas were very poorly armed. Many of them were armed only with traditional tribal weapons, spears, bows and machetes. They went into battle clad in animal skins, feathered hats and with tribal facepaint. They were extremely brutal and terrifying, with often the worst atrocities committed by teenage boys (jeunesse). This aspect of the simbas we cant yet do. The assets just dont exist. I call that future faction "Simba 1964" and maybe one day we'll get to build it.

After the government counteroffensives got underway, spearheaded by mercenary units like 5 Commando, the Simbas were on the backfoot and losing territory. They receiving communist bloc support. Che Guevara was there for a while with 100+ Cuban volunteers, often Afro-Cubans because they fit in better. The communists tried to organise the Simba forces, properly named the Armée Populaire de Libération (APL) along conventional lines. I call this era "Simba 1965" and that's the faction here. Most of the rebellion was mopped up by the end of 1965.

Simba 'regulars' are included, as well as poorly armed militia, ANC deserters and the Cuban volunteers.

Rhodesian SAS and various paramilitary units added. For the SAS they are provided in 2 'looks', the more typical bush look and a 'heavy' look for external base assaults like the famous pics from Op Uric. In the latter mode they're helmeted and carry a lot of RPDs for very heavy firepower.

A lot more stuff for the Ultramar in this update with FRELIMO and many new Portuguese uniform variants and aircraft textures.

Also a number of quality of life additions for mission makers. Ammo crates for Portugal, Rhodesia and South Africa available for use in Zeus or Alive logistics. Also two new civilian factions with era appropriate African civilians, no more zany sunglasses or modern clothing!

Finally, a mission set in Guinea-Bissau involving Portuguese paraquedistas fighting PAIGC. Note this also includes a staticData.sqf for use in Alive to prevent vanilla vehicles and aircraft etc being used in logistics. Feel free to rip this mission apart and use as you will. Currently the staticData.sqf is for Portugal, Rhodesia and South Africa, but I'll be progressively updating it and creating crates for all the mod factions.

Two new factions, the first for the Portuguese Colonial Wars (Ultramar)

MPLA - one of the guerrilla movements that fought the Portuguese for independence. They were lightly equipped in the 60s and early 70s, with many WW2 era German and Soviet weapons and captured Portuguese weapons. This is the MPLA that fought Portugal.

MPLA "1975" - in 1975 after independence the MPLA started to receive major Soviet support. This faction reflects their changed circumstances with an influx of Soviet weapons. They now have armour and artillery, many fighters now wear Portuguese camo and AKs are much more common. This is the faction that fought the FNLA for Angolan supremacy, and South Africa as well. Not yet a regular army on Soviet lines that they would evolve into as FAPLA but on their way.
