Changed:
  • You can now peak through a window even if there are curtains. Yes you are allowed to act like a shady neighbour now.

Fixed:
  • Doors being able to creek when peaking while they are opened.
  • Walking not canceling the timed action and instead allowing you to spin in place (that was fun to watch at least).
  • Removed old debug code.
  • Barricaded doors not blocking view.

THE MOD NOW REQUIRES THE USE OF MY LIBRARY MOD Doggy's API

Added:
  • New requirement: Doggy's API
  • Checking behind doors and windows now uses a timed action. This will be used for stairs too later down the line. Animations are temporary and might get improved later.
  • New Ray Casting method to detecting zombies behind windows and doors ! The player will now scan in a circle behind the door or window, from right to left.
  • Door creeking now takes into account the player moodles (stress, panic ...), increasing the chances to trigger it when the character should be less focus on the task.
  • Sandbox Options are now fancy, go check it out :) !

Changed:
  • Significantly increased the range you can check for zombies behind a door or a window thanks to the new ray system. (currently set to 20 tiles but will be changed later down the line)
  • Context menu options are no longer red due to distance and instead selecting it when too far from the door or window will make the character walk to it.

Fixed:
  • Detecting zombies behind walls when you shouldn't be able to see them from the door or window opening.
  • Door creeking mechanic should be more common.

As of today, no updates will be released for B41.

What's new ?
  • Mod renamed to "Check Around" to better fit its entirely new purpose
  • Mod Options no longer required as vanilla now has a Mod Option API by default
  • No more keybinds for controllers (might be needed to be added back if not supported with vanilla keybind system ?)
  • Checking downstair now works for floors below 0 (basements)
  • Checking upstairs work for the new floor limit
