something isn't quite right here, at least in B41. the mod activates without needing the API (in fact I can't even enable the API), and it seems to assume I'm using a controller and there's no option to bind a key

This will most likely reset your keybind for checking windows or doors

I am also getting the issue of Check Stairs keybind not being saved. Check Windows/doors saves just fine.

I don't know why, but the option to select the shortcut key for checking the stairs is not being saved, every time I start the game I have to go there and select the key again, the one for checking the doors is saved and working normally.

the dependency doesn't show up in my mod list though? The description says its compatible with b41 and b42 I'm not on experimental, could that be a reason why the dependency doesn't show up on my end?

Actually I do plan on removing Starlit from dependencies. However note those are framework mods and thus a lot of other mods use them or for my API might start using it for their own mods

Just make sure to have mods that don't do the same things, but even then depending on the type of mod it might not matter

Load order doesn't matter in the game actually. It mostly matters for things that replace other files (which are very rare mods), map cell conflicts (notably 10 YL map due to it taking the entire map), tile mods replacing other tiles

In B42 it matters a bit more now but in 99% of cases it just doesn't matter

Sounds good I'll add it. Hopefully nothing breaks load order wise XD.

Currently Working Masks -> Better Masks+Patch -> Susceptible -> Sus. Overhaul -> Remove Sus. Trait (Everyone is Susceptible) -> Cordyceps Zones -> Cordyceps Overhaul -> Restore Filters + Belts Addon. So I guess the infection scanner should go at the end with the other 'add-ons'.

I suggest checking my infection scanner mod too which has a function to check for spores via a bipping from a scanner in the same way as a radioactive scanner

All good mate thanks for the info, was primarily wondering if I should make the switch or not from that to this. Since there was another mod I have (Project Seasons) that works on B41 but all the new features are only for B42, so just wanted to make sure.

I mainly only use the stair check feature, but I'm curious about the window one from your mod since I plan to start a new run with Susceptible+Cordyceps. Could come in 'immersively useful'.

I'm currently developping a ray system to check behind things so it takes into account various walls, windows and doors, barricaded or with closed sheet etc which should be more accurate to the player actual vision

Hi, I see a lot of features described for the mod over the alternative Stairs Alert, are they all available for B41? I can see the window checking one should be as it has cordyceps compat. but is the door checking & creaking also part of the B41 version?

I only discovered this mod yesterday, have been using Stairs Alert and see this is a bit more featureful.

ATTENTION CONTROLLER USERS! This mod currently stops you being able to use a controller, you can move but you can not open inventory/doors or pause menu. Current version is 42.5
