  • Fix internationalized limiter for loading double values (e.g. 1.5). Always use a dot (e.g. 1.5) for values of type double (PowerModifier).
  • Added detailed in game information when yaml config file parsing fails.
  • You can add 'development: true' to your yaml config to enable development mode, it will show you various values (by hovering over leaks, trimpump, hatches) the mod uses and may help you identify bugs. Besides this, the mode has no influence on the mod behaviour.
  • You can add 'loglevel: debug' to your yaml config to enable debug log level to print more detailed information from the mod in your log file.

I would like to say a few words about this release. As widely known, modding UBoat (or games in general) is a very lengthy and demanding task. Therefore, with this release, I have tried to focus on two points. First, the configuration outside of Excel, and second, the integration of DeepLeaks throughout the career of a player. By saving leaks, I can now make the boat more lively. This is based on the fact that even back then, captains took the boats to depth for testing purposes to identify and fix the shipyard's weak spots. Additionally, no boat was the same (due to different manufacturing processes and different shipyards), which is now better reflected.

Additionally, the new way in which leaks now appear and disappear is also a response to the majority of feedback I received, which was not satisfied with the depths at which leaks emerged. This way, each player is allowed to 'train' their boat to the desired strength, making weak points more resilient and allowing the boat to dive deeper.

Here everything which is included in this release:

  • Fixed various smaller issues (like sound would not play) around the 2025.1 version and its incoming patches.
  • From now on, the mod is able to remember past leaks and their repairs by storing those values in the savegame. With this feature, the boat becomes stronger over time and is thus able to dive deeper without new leaks occurring. It is recommended to do test dives and repair early leaks / resurface and repeat the process. Activate the DeepLeaks Status on the trim pump interaction wheel to get an overview of the current config loaded and your boat's dive readiness. These stored values will be reset when switching boats.
  • Config of the mod can be watched over a new interaction wheel item of the trim pump.
  • Fixed leaks are now permanentely stored and remembered. Over time your boat will become stronger and you will be able to dive deeper without leaks.
  • Reduced value of leaking pipes. Pipe don't leak anymore as much as they did before (reduced by 50%).
  • Fix Hatches sometimes the pressure doesn't equalize properly, therfore the limit to open hatches on pressure has been reduced and hatches can be openend sooner.
  • I removed the realistic and arcade sheets in the config file (you can still switch between them and use custom sheet for custom values). You still can switch between those.

  • Fix bug with blowing tanks air never stops when returning to the home port shortcut button.
  • Fix Hatches did not start leaking when pressure on openening side was lower.
  • New config added 'featurePressureHatches' value (0 = Disabled, 1=Enabled). It allows to enable or disable the hatch feature (enabled: equalize pressure, hatch don't get damanged by pressure, hatches do leak, hatches can't be opened on pressure). The feature is by default enabled in 'realistic' / disabled in 'arcade' preset.

  • Fix bug with blowing tanks air never stops. I still work on this issue since the game keeps fighting me on this. This fix should avoid further problems with the air sound played without reason.
