Legacy of the Gods – Divine Trait System Update

• Fertility for Divine Traits
Introduced a new game rule that removes fertility penalties from characters with divine traits such as Young God (Light), Young God (Dark), Fallen God, and God.

• Fertility for Angelic Traits
Added a separate game rule to allow angelic characters (Angel, Archangel, Dark Angel, Dark Archangel) to retain fertility.

• Divine Eyes Update
Added Golden Eyes as a new eye color. Rebalanced and reassigned eye colors across divine and angelic traits to better reflect their alignment.

• Divine Traits Categorized
All divine traits are now categorized to display on the left side of the character trait bar, alongside Lifestyle traits, for higher visibility and UI clarity.

• Negative Opinion for Opposite Traits
Characters with conflicting divine alignments (e.g., Light vs Dark) now receive strong negative opinion modifiers toward each other.

Changelog: Divine Faith Reformation Update

(1) Two customizable divine religions can now be founded via the Major Decisions menu. These allow ascended god characters to shape a unique spiritual identity and lead a new religious empire.

- The Eternal Light
Who can choose: Available to rulers with the God trait who are not already part of the Eternal Light faith.
How to access: A new decision called "Start Eternal Light Faith" becomes available. Requires 2500 Piety.
What happens:
- The ruler and all courtiers are converted to the Eternal Light religion.
- A multi-stage sequence begins, offering three rounds of tenet choices. You select one doctrine from a themed set in each round to customize your faith.
- After tenets are selected, a new titular empire is created and granted to the character. This empire becomes the religious head title and your new primary title.
- The religion’s capital county is automatically converted to the new faith.
- Grants a large bonus of Prestige and Piety.

- The Eternal Dark
Who can choose: Available to rulers with the Fallen God trait who are not already part of the Eternal Dark faith.
How to access: A new decision called "Start Eternal Dark Faith" becomes available. Requires 2500 Prestige.
What happens:
- The ruler and all courtiers are converted to the Eternal Dark religion.
- A three-part event chain allows the selection of one tenet from each of three thematically dark categories, such as sacrifice, shadow, or domination.
- A custom titular empire is created and granted to the character, functioning as the religious head title and becoming the new primary title.
- The capital county is converted to the new faith.
- Grants a large bonus of Prestige and Piety.

These changes give players the power to lead fully realized divine religions tailored to Light or Dark themes, with full narrative and mechanical support.

(2) A new character interaction has been added that allows players to change the eye color of any target character. This system supports dynamic visual customization tied to character flags.
- Available Eye Colors:
Blue, Frenzy, Abyss, Red, Beasty

(3) Removed Immortality from Young Gods. Temporary Change to allow them to grow into adults. They can still be upgraded by Character Interaction, though they should still turn into Full Gods themselves after 5-15 years.

Update: Divine Systems and Souls HUD Integration

Seer Progression Fix
- Added a missing character flag to the Seer event chain. Characters who become Young Gods will now properly begin their ascension timer to Full God. This logic was previously omitted in error.

Ruler Designer Cleanup
- Characters who select Divine traits in the Ruler Designer will no longer receive the Seer quest chain. This prevents redundancy and preserves intended narrative flow.

Fertility Restoration
- The traits Demi God, Blood of God, and Angel Blood no longer apply infertility. This corrects an oversight and enables divine bloodlines to naturally continue.

Godhood Ascension in Duels
- Young Gods now have the ability to fully ascend during key Duel events. Victory may lead to immediate transformation into Full God status, depending on context.

New Currency: Souls (In Development)
- Introduced a new sacred currency, Souls, to the top resource bar. This feature is in early development and currently displays a static value. Full functionality is coming soon.
Note: This change requires modification of hud.gui and will make Legacy of the Gods incompatible with any other mod that edits the HUD layout.

Changelog: Young God Ascension, Texture Fixes, and Seer Events Update

Young God NPCs Now Ascend Properly
NPCs who gain the *Young God* trait will now complete their divine journey without player intervention.

- They automatically ascend to *Full God* status over time, typically within 5 to 15 years.
- NPCs with high Piety (Light) or Prestige (Dark) may ascend even sooner.
- If they don’t meet the conditions, they’ll wait and try again later.
- Players still have the option to manually reset the timer. NPCs will never do this themselves.
- This resolves the issue where NPCs remained Young Gods indefinitely.

Angel Texture Bug Resolved (Temporarily) [ I Think ]
- Identified the cause of missing eye and clothing textures: the angel wings.
- Temporarily disabled both Angel and Dark Angel wings until the issue is fully understood.
- This should stop the global texture glitch from occurring.

Seer Event System Overhaul (Improve Compatability)
- Removed custom code that manually forced Seer and Dream events.
- Instead, events are now placed properly in `yearly_playable_pulse` like standard CK3 events.
- This fix restores consistent event triggering and ensures compatibility with the vanilla event system.

Thank you all for the continued support and feedback. This update includes several important fixes and improvements:

Angels (Age 0) Can Now Serve:
- Newly created angels can now hold council positions, despite technically being age 0. Their divine nature now properly overrides childhood limitations.

Healing No Longer Removes Witch Trait:
- The Heal interaction will no longer remove the Witch trait. If your character wishes to address witchcraft, the Smite interaction is now the intended method for dealing with them!

Rival God Duel – Option 3 Religion Fix:
- Choosing to spare your rival and convert them to your faith will now correctly change their religion and prevent future rebellion events tied to religious hostility.

Divine Conception Rework:
- This event chain now functions as designed. Option 1 produces a divine child with no connection to the father. Option 2 allows the player to leave behind a legacy, but at greater risk. All associated localization and logic have been corrected.

Update Notes:

- Updated localization and interaction logic for promoting and demoting divine traits, improving clarity and thematic tone.
- Fixed a bug affecting all divine promotions / demotions where characters would lose their personality traits and have tier 3 congenital traits downgraded. This was due to trait removal during promotion. All such removals have been eliminated to preserve the recipient’s existing traits.

Updated Demi Gods to Not be immortal, which was unintended. Increased Demi Gods life expectancy by 30 years.
