Version 4.2

Starting spells fix. Fixed a bug introduced with the last update where the Healing and Flames spells were missing after making a new character.

Update: 27 Sep, 2015 @ 6:40am

Version 4.0

  • Now compatible with Alternate Start - Live Another Life!
  • Fixed a bug where Skyrim sometimes closed when more than one ART! mod was subscribed to at the same time.
  • Reduced the damage bonus for melee weapons and bows to 10% (feature request)
  • Changed starting skill bonuses for new characters only: Conjuration +15; Alteration and One Handed +10; Alchemy, Light Armor and Sneak +5
  • Added skill deficit for new characters only: Speech -10 (reason for deficit is people of Skyrim have pejudice against Forsworn specifically and Bretons in general)
  • Changed the description for powers and abilities, which appear in the Powers and Active Effects menus
  • Changed the description for the race that appears during new character creation:

"In addition to a perceptive grasp of spellcraft, High Rock's Bretons can boast a resistance to magic. In combat, they can boost magic resistance even more and absorb magicka from spells, or enhance resistance to melee weapons and boost stamina. Masters of Conjuration, they can summon animal spirits. Good at Alteration, they can shapeshift to become animals themselves. Prejudice against them in Skyrim reduces their Speech skill."

Version 3.1

  • This is a release of version 3.0 with the missing script for the Shapeshift Into Animal power now included.

  • Made some adjustments to the script to make it more likely to disable the player menu after shapeshifting.

Update: 18 Sep, 2015 @ 3:16pm

Temporary Downgrade to Version 2.9

Necessary, as version 3.0 was released without the script for the Shapeshift Into Animal power.

Update: 18 Sep, 2015 @ 6:09am

Version 3.0

  • Now any race (not just Bretons) can make and improve the Forsworn weapons and armor. Removed the race restrictions to make and improve Forsworn weapons and armor, including the new bear-head helmets.

  • Added the ability to craft Forsworn bows at a forge and improve them at a grinding wheel.

  • Fixed a bug where arrows remained visible when the player shapeshifted, and they appeared to drag on the ground beneath the player when in animal form.

  • Fixed a bug where one handed and two handed weapons didn't unequip if the player equipped a bow before shapeshifting, without first unequipping the one handed or two handed weapons, and they appeared to drag on the ground beneath the player when in animal form.

  • Changed factions for predators the player shapeshifts into, so NPC predators will now attack the player after he or she shapeshifts into a predator of a different race, instead of treating him or her like a member of their group (e.g., wolves will not attack you if you turn into a wolf before they see you, but wolves will attack you if you turn into a bear).

  • Slowed the movement (running) speed of the some of the shapeshift animals, including the Highland Cow.

  • Added utility.wait() pauses to the script for the shapeshifting magic effect to make it less likely to fail. This should prevent the rare occurrence where the game failed to respond after shapeshifting.

Update: 16 Sep, 2015 @ 6:19am

Version 2.9

  • Fixed bug where a magic effect was incorrectly adding 1 to the Player's health.

  • Fixed a bug where the Shapeshift Dog often shook when standing still. It now shakes less often, depending on the terrain.

Update: 14 Sep, 2015 @ 7:37pm

Version 2.8

  • Added missing skill bonuses for new races. Alteration and Conjuration: +15. Archery, Light Armor, One Handed and Sneak: +5.

  • Added additional idle animations to the shapeshift dog race: Sit, sit and bark, lie down, lie down and bark, stand up.

  • Name of the shapeshift spell changed from, "Shapeshift Into Brother or Sister" to "Shapeshift Into Animal."

  • Name of the rabbit spirit necklace changed from, "Highland Hare Spirit Necklace" to "Rabbit Spirit Necklace."

  • Changed the forging of the spirit necklaces to only allow Bretons to make them.

  • Added missing perk requirements to forge the spirit necklaces: Necklaces for small animals require both Novice Alteration and Novice Conjuration. Necklaces for medium-sized animals require both Apprentice Alteration and Apprentice Conjuration (skill level 25 for both). Necklaces for large animals require either Adept Aleration or Adept Conjuration (skill level of 50 for one). Necklaces for Cave Trolls and Frost Trolls require either Expert Alteration or Expert Conjuration (skill level 75 for one).
