Update: 11 Jun, 2017 @ 12:29am

Added new scans of the Artifact, Monster reference, and Chaos Spell decks. These scans are a bit cleaner and darker to make them look nicer. The down side is that it makes some of my damaged cards more obvious, but I prefer these since they look sharper.

Fixed the Wizard's name

Update: 10 Jun, 2017 @ 11:59pm

Mod has been mostly overhauled, though there's still some things I intend to add/change, I didn't want to delay this much more than I already have.

  • Moved everything to a bigger table, the heroes should have much more room for cards now
  • Added Wizards of Zargon items (I need to make some adjustments to make them fit more)
  • Added Mercenaries chest to be used for WoZ and beyond
  • Changed the board into a tile so it looks more elegant and takes up less space. The downside to this is that the vector paint tool is too large on it. I'm going to try to model a board, but I'm terrible at 3D so it may take time
  • Added Game Master Screen for authenticity (included hidden zone behind it)
  • Added Monster Chart for the heroes so the monster cards could be cleaned up
  • Added dice for each hero and color coded them so it's easier to tell rolls apart
  • Added CORRECT number of monsters for the base game (I need to do the same for Kellar's and Witch Lord)
  • Resized most of the furniture for not only the new board but to make them a bit more visually pleasing compared to the figures
  • Renamed several cards to have their type included in the name for easy searching

Added in Smatsuro's papercraft figurines for the Ogre Horde monsters

Added in monster stats to all the papercraft figurine descriptions

Update: 6 Mar, 2016 @ 6:37am

Another Oops! No one called me out on this (for shame!) but the Spiral Stiarway and Double Wall tiles were missing! I've put them back in and hopefully that's all the major issues fixed.

Update: 1 Mar, 2016 @ 1:30am

Ooops. Re-added the notepad that has the quest name and starting stats for heroes (as well as link to where to get the maps).

I also copied over the rules I've typed up so far. I really do need to work on that again.

Update: 1 Mar, 2016 @ 1:16am

Removed some experimental Snap Points that I accidentally left in the mod. While I was at it, I removed snapping/grid from all the decks for the time being.

Update: 1 Mar, 2016 @ 12:52am

This is a complete overhaul of the mod, nearly everything has been replaced from the ground up to make the mod more professional in scope as well as make many of the cards more readable (far less blocky/blurry). This means a lot more of the assets being used are my own (scanned in from my own game). This took a lot of time and effort, so I hope everyone finds that it was worth it. All new assets should be higher quality, but I also ran them through an image optimizer to help keep file sizes (and hopefully TTS memory use) low.

Added a new HeroQuest main board from YeOldeInn (had to resize it to fit on imgur) which is much more high quality. You can zoom in on it and see the details a lot better now. This new board is much bigger and it took a lot of time to rezise it so the playable area is roughly the same size as the old board. This means all the figurines and tokens should fit, but there may be some oddities. If you run into ANY problems with this new resize, please let me know.

New scans of the following decks/cards have been added: Monsters, Artifacts, Chaos Spells, all Hero character cards w/ action back side.

Equipment cards do not exist in the physical game, so I found some cards in PDF format on YeOldeInn, resized them manually, and made individual images of each card so they are not as blurry as before.

Added in new furniture from the HeroQuest furniture mod (Fireplace and Tomb). The Tomb has been reduced in size as it was just a bit too big.

All Monster descriptions have been updated (Thanks to grey-fox-13) so they look much better and it's easy to see a monster's stats just by hovering your mouse over them now.

The ENTIRE layout has been adjusted. Since the colors have been setup on all the figures and my own team is used to them, I moved the hand colors over one space to preserve it. The Heroes should now be on the opposing size to the Game Master, which feels better thematically. Free table space for the Heroes may have been reduced slightly due to the new game board, any suggestions on layout improvements are certainly welcome.

Many items and decks should have alt text/descriptions that identify what they do. This was inspired by many of the DLC mods offered by TTS and hopefully will make it more newbie friendly.

Added new higher Body Point monster cards and figurines which are recommended to improve the game's difficulty curve. If the game feels a bit too easy for your Heroes (especially after getting a few artifacts) you may want to try these.

Update: 22 Jan, 2016 @ 8:13am

Added an “Unknown Potion” token for treasures that have no card in the treasure deck (such as 4hp Healing Potions). This token is suggested even if an item is in the treasure deck to help keep track of what is in the deck and what is not, so that duplicates don’t get put back into the deck. Just copy and rename the token to whatever item the player needs.

Added names to every individual equipment and artifact card in the game and all expansions. The latest TTS update keeps these names even when in a deck. This is to prepare for future TTS updates where the names can be used for card searching.

The following models now have States and can be changed by mousing over the model and pressing a number button to switch to that state.

Doors (4 States: Closed, Open, Closed Entrance/Exit, Open Entrance/Exit)
Orc (3 States: Flail, Hatchet, and Scimitar)
Goblin (3 States: Sword, Axe, Scimitar)
Return of the Witch Lord: Coffin (4 States with different art)

This change should make it easier to replace doors, now you only have to place a closed door and when a hero opens it, just mouse over the door and hit 2 to make it an open door. No more having to remove and place new doors!

This change was added to the Orcs, Goblins, and Coffins to allow GMs to change the art on these pieces freely without the game space being cluttered by too many models. I’ve considered using this is other areas such as the wall and trap tokens, but this seems like possibly going too far.

I wanted to make this change to the Armory and Alchemist Shop, however the orientation is different between the two and it’s awkward to move around.

Lastly I tried a little preliminary tests with setting snap points on the board. Unfortunately the tile sizes are just a TINY bit larger than the squares on the board so they end up having problems when trying to put them next to each other… so for the time being, snap points are a bit too big of a problem for me to tackle right now.

More rules added to the Notebook. Still a work in progress
