With the release of the new 3D editor I've started constructing installations which will spawn on the map. Currently there are FARPs, UAV Sites and C3 sites...but I shall be adding more in the near future.

These sites are designed to look like the respective site. For FARPs expect resupply vehicles, heilpads and a command bunker. For C3 sites there will be multiple radio communication towers, command bunkers, fixed weapon emplacements etc.

In addition FARPs receive troops to help defend it and the occasional visit from a supply/transport helicopter.

Quick hotfix as the arrays were not filtering units correctly if the mission did not detect CUP, RHS or RAID vehicles.

Big update of the mission generation code so that both allied and enemy forces are chosen from realistic and sensible composition sets (as far as it is able).

This means when the mission reports that you will be engaging a Motor Rifle Company, you will indeed engage a Motor Rifle Company (i.e. HQ Platoon + 3 APC platoons). The mission will also attach realistic groups to that company so it might become a reinforced company with an extra tank platoon or IFV platoon and it might also be given AAA support or Anti-Tank support etc.

BIG THANKS to HellFish6 for providing very detailed group composition examples and also Microprose for including other examples in their excellent M1 Tank Platoon 2 manual - from a time when manuals were proper manuals!

This minor update should make the mission multiplayer compatible. There are now 4 player slots, 1 for each commander position.

The host should always choose to be group leader. This will ensure that they get the PLATOON COMMAND menu.

Everyone else will have to follow the commanders orders as only the commander will get the task waypoints, mission briefing and support units.

All players will need to have the same addons (e.g. Red Hammer Studios or Community Upgrade Project) as the host.

THIS MISSION WILL NOT WORK ON A DEDICATED SERVER

Small update this time.

You can now choose which tank to use in the mission.

When the mission starts you will see a line up of all the tanks available (inlcluding any from the Community Upgrade Project and the Red Hammer Studios addons)

Simply walk up to the tank you like and you will get an on screen prompt to use that tank. Just click your confirm button (usually middle mouse button) to select that tank.

The mission will then move to the parade section and you will see that your platoon is now made up of the selected tank. :)

Fixed a problem with the enemy vehicle arrays not removing CUP and RHS based items.

Fixed an issue when no extra addons are used. The mission now correctly reverts to the Arma3 default vehicles.

This means you DO NOT need the Community Upgrade Project or Red Hammer Studios addons to run this mission.

New Updates

1. Fixed the artillery menu so it now displays correctly.

2. Fixed the random time of day and weather system so it now works

3. Added a chance to get recon units. These are small teams that have very limited combat abilities but can be deployed quickly especially if you roll a version that comes loaded in a recon chopper!

4. Enemy battle AI updated so it now has a random chance of calling in air support when it detects allied forces. Check the mission briefing for the likelyhood of enemy air support units showing up in the mission.
