Changes:

Added new cultures! Specifics:
70% Chance of getting a normal Byzantine name
5% chance of getting a Khazar name
5% chance of getting an Armenian name
5% chance of getting a Georgian name
5% chance of getting a Latin Roman name
5% chance of getting a Visigothic name
5% chance of getting a Norse name

Reasoning for these:
Khazars:
Believe it or not, quite a few Khazars lived in Byzantium. When Hasdai ibn Shaprut, a Sephardic Jew and influential person at the court of an Andalusian realm, learned of the existance of Khazaria, he sent a letter to him. It was important to him to figure out if Khazaria actually existed, because he was used to being told that Jews didn't have a place to call their own for various reasons, ranging from "they killed Jesus" to other excuses. When the letter made it to Constantinople, it was recieved by a Khazar sent there by the Qagan. Unfortunately, the letter could not be sent forward because the Byzantine authorities wouldn't allow it. The letter from this authority back to Hasdai would become known as the Schectler letter. When Hasdai tried again, the letter was relayed through Germany and Hungary to Khazaria by German Jews. It arrived in Atil, and Qagan Joseph of Khazaria sent a reply back with lots of information about Khazaria (this would become known as the Khazar Correspondence, one of the best first hand accounts of Khazaria).

In addition to this, there are Byzantine writers who wrote about Khazars living in the Jewish district of Constantinople even well after the fall of the Khazar Qaganate.
Fun fact about the added regnal name for Khazars: Georgius Tzul was apparently the last Khazar leader in Crimea, as reported by Byzantine sources. Byzantine and Rus' armies invaded his realm and destroyed it. Oddly though, Georgius Tzul is a Greek name, and there were many Tzuls working in the administration of Crimea prior to these records. The female name is the Khazar mother of Byzantine emperor Leo IV "The Khazar"

Armenian:
Pretty self explanatory. The area populated by Armenians was quite a bit bigger in the Byzantine Empire, and lots of Armenians became quite influential. The name added for Armenia is an Armenian Byzantine Emperor, and the female name was his wife's name.

Georgian:
Again, self explantory. Right on the Byzantine's borders (and in their borders for several centuries). The added name for Georgia is David, after King David the Builder. The added female regnal name is Tamar, after Tamar the Great of Georgia. She was leader of Georgia in its golden age.

Roman:
I didn't want to add a bunch of names representing reconquered peoples from the West (French, Italian, etc.) so I went with Roman. Maybe with the return of Roman authority, people started to return to Latin names? That's the best I've got. Added name is of the Roman emperor who did away with Latin as the official language of the state, and his wife is the female name.

Visigothic:
The Goths have a long and complicated history with the Romans. At times they coexisted, at times they bitterly fought. In this, the Visigothic list represents mainly the Visigoths, but it could also represent Crimean Goths somewhat. Crimean Goths would only use the less Latinized names. The added name for the Visigoths is Alaric and the influential Balti dynasty, and the female name is random.

Norse:
Of course, have to get the Varangians in there. And that's basically it. Varangians. One of the names for Tundra planets is "Varangia." The added name for Norse is Harald Hardrada, king of Norway who invaded England. He started out in exile though, and was in the Varangian Guard for many years. The added female name is his second wife's name, because his first wife was Russian and having a random Russian name would be kind of weird.

So please, tell me if you like the changes or not. I still have the old version backed up, so if you don't like it I can go back! But I thought more variation could be good. Especially to make it seem like the whole world didn't adopt Greek names for some reason.
