Update: 16 Mar, 2018 @ 3:24pm

Updated performance stats to be in-line with the current official ships.

Thunderbird is slow like GTek, but has much better acceleration.

Update: 6 Oct, 2017 @ 12:22am

Removed additional engine trails.

Update: 26 Sep, 2017 @ 5:40am

Update 2017-09-26: Updated the cockpit illumination texture.

Update: 21 Dec, 2016 @ 1:24am

Update 2016-12-21: Updated ship model to have dual engines, now that the 0.6 update supports it. Also added a custom cockpit model to use - though the illumination texture isn't correct at the moment.

Update: 26 Nov, 2016 @ 3:45pm

Update 2 2016-11-26: Increased speed stats by 10 across all speed classes. Increased acceleration to match Scorpio (in theory, anyway...). Improved handling responsiveness and grip slightly.
Current testing (with my rubbish flying style) indicates that the Thunderbird does better than the heavier ships on the more technical circuits, but is inferior to Tenrai (Pure racing FTW). It seems to be more durable though, so that might balance out in combat racing scenarios.

Update: 26 Nov, 2016 @ 12:23pm

Scaled down the ship model.

Updated the stats to make it much more responsive, faster accelerating, and a little bit slower.

Full notes:

Update 2016-11-26: I have scaled the ship down to be more in-line with the vanilla ships. I have modified the stats to better represent what I wanted performance-wise. It should now be as responsive as Tenrai, though it will slow down more through the corners. It's speed is on-par with G-Tek (though the pre-race stats screen seems to think it's faster), but it has very good acceleration, allowing for better exits from corners and recoveries from crashes. I'm not sure how the weapon power and shield stats work, as I can't see a pattern in the vanilla ships.
