I did find mods for specific eras to stop like you described; they're not the same mods, but I don't know if they're going to work, I'll just have to see. And I can see what you're saying about the whole alternate reality; maybe you could just make the no progression an option?

The reason I didn't add that, and do not plan to, is becuase the spirit of Civilization is alternate history/alternate reality. Who's to say that after the era represented in Skyrim, Nirn did not advance technologically to have bombers and firearms, and what not? We can only know in this mod :)!

Actually, it looks like those mods require Gods and Kings...If you can't find one for Vanilla like these, then no, there won't be a way to stop it from progressing though all Tech Ages.

Yes and Yes. There are mods by user BlouBlou (as far as I remember they are compatible with vanilla). He has one for any era you want to stop it at. It can be used in combination with this mod with no problems. I'll see if I can find a link.

Thank you, that worked. I have another question: does technology progress like in the normal game, and if it does, is there a way to stop it at medieval or something so you don't have Tamriel with bombers?

You may have to go into a non-modded single player game, select advanced options and set the starting time period to ancient. begin the game. Then back out of that game and go back through the modded menu and try again.

When I load it, I start with future tech. Anyone know how to change that? There's no option available in the menu when you cutomize the game.

Used this mod earlier this year, worked perfectly and such. Unsubbed from it while clearing out all my mods, and when i resubbed to it, it will no longer show up in the mod list. I have installed other mods after attempting to install this one and they show up, I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can get this to work?

@Nox, this is the vanilla version, Vanilla Civ 5 did not have those assets. You need the BNW version for trade routes and the new explorers

Achievements cannot be earned while playing modded games, but having it does not affect your achievements. You would still be able to play a single-player game without mods and gain achievements.

Its because of the "conversion" text strings.

You can go into you MODS folder and delete this file "CoreGameTextUpdates.xml" (or move it to another location on your hard drive, so you can still use it later)

You can get rid of that file and it should work fine with any other mod.

Kingchris20, I have to say I really enjoy this Civ pack. It's also the only one I've actually managed to get working. With that said, could I ask for help creating my own civ for personal use? I'm just looking for a video walkthrough or something.
