Am I the only one who has the issue of the nodes not showing at all unless on Construct? I haven't done it to see if it works with Flatgrass but every other map doesn't show the nodes

Kind of. You're think of a nav mesh. Nav meshes show where the ground is for nextbots, so they know where they can walk and where they can't. Nodegraphs are the same, but they show the entire map's geometry. Nodegraphs mainly help with spawning.

I could be entirely wrong tbh.

SNPCs can move locally like 500 units


5000 units as distance would be like walking on thin ice for them

So I'm noding a really big map, I believe it is max size, and I edited the max link distance to be 5000 in order to save on how many I have to place and not hit the limit, is this bad? I don't know if this is bad for optimization or causes lag. Please inform.

Back in February when I saved my .txt, closed the game, and then open the map again, the nodes there, but now when I do the same, the nodes dissappear and I have to repeat the process, also, when I create the .ain it doesn't create the nodes. Someone knows why is this happening?

Hmmm sometimes If I add a lot of nav dots, previous created nav dots disappear. Is it has a max quantity of nav / nodegraph?

Okay, I found the answer. If you have the same problem just add "+ai_norebuildgraph 1" to gmod launch options.

After a recent gmod update it says "Nodegraph out of date. Rebuilding..." and nodes on the maps I added them on reset to the workshop version of the nodegraph, resetting everything. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It does work, but i feel like it doesn't work as well as the ones made in hammer editor
