Because any HEV suit is better than the armor they have in the TSF. Seriously, Freeman survives... everything. And without a helmet.

This is intriguing, it gives off the feel that the Marines and their ilk aren't a military organization.
And it's a feel I like.

[LKM818] Gearbox I don't think it matters a great deal if marine skins are changed considering everyone uses the alien vision. Everyones bright orange all the time. Changing the alien team I'm against because marines don't have special vision for a reason.

Valve's usually pretty cool about stuff like this. I think they would think it was awesome people are great fans of their games and spend time contributing cool stuff like this to other games. If companies where smart they would just see this kind of stuff as endearing and in some cases even free advertisment.

Looks great, but I can't bring myself to upvote it. It seems like it infringes on Valve's IP. It also increases the visibility of enemy marines by increasing their contrast against the green/grey standard backgrounds.
