He made a new workshop item for B18... Word Mule could put the link to it in the description above, and add "B18"to your new workshop item to help people?

I don't see an update. The changelog still says the most recent version is updated six months ago.

Thanks for the update. You should change it so that the mod says .18 instead of ,17 as to not confuse people.

Hey, Word-Mule. I couldn't get the mod to work on B18 either, so I downloaded it, set up my own C# environment, and tried to see if I could get the mod to run.
When testing, I confirmed that the error preventing the mod from working was originating from the Harmony Patch used in ShouldBeDead.cs. I think it's beyond my feeble coding abilities to fix, but if you'd be willing to look into it, that would make my day. Thank you!

I know you said it should work for B18, but it really doesn't (unless this is just on my end) but after extensive testing to try to figure out why I could no longer generate worlds for a new game this mod seems to be the problem. Every other mod is fine, but once I enable this one I can't generate a new world. An update for B18 would be really great since this is a great mod.

Keeper: It should, as the description states. It's not the mod author's job to test for compatibility issues with every mod. Try it yourself and if there's some issue, report it.

Here's a tip for you about medical events like this: Cryosleep caskets on your ship or in ancient ruins can be used to store people with permanent brain injury, if the brain injury is severe enough to a point they are immobilized forever. This prevents mood debuffs from them being euthenized, and can also save them in case you need to eat them in some sort of case.

I accidentally left a bunch of prisoners in an old base one time, and my colonists were super bummed out. Can I save them dad?

prisoners come in handy here too... extracting their organs and storing them in a freezer room is a good way of stocking up on spare organs

if I know I can't save a colonist... I just kill them with a gunshot to the head but this mod makes it more realistic meaning I won't have to waste rounds on my own people because they don't sit in cover when reloading but instead stand out in the open... XD

Should I be able to save prisoners with this? Didn't have a heart at the time and her heart was destroyed so I put her in the freezer...maybe the cryptosleep casket wouldve been better? It would make sense though that I could save her still because her body isnt deteriorating right?

Seeing a pawn not instantly die after a liver shot, to sit there and know he's dying... just to have that second brutal headshot done to destroy his brain too... so sad. Death is bad enough, now it's tragic! I love it so much.

Yeah, really have to comment. After toying with over a hundred different mods over the years, this has to be one of the few that really scratched an itch in such a way that it just brightens my dim RimWorld experience with more tragedy.
