Yes, this was the thing that eluded me the most. Followers aren't dropped in the same way as item it seems and have condiitons attached. If you DL the mod and open it you'll see my own script, I've kept all the followers separated from the vanilla follower scripts to help with compatibility.

Out of curiosity, you had to write a script for looting conditions while creating new items/followers ? Had a kislev item mod done but cound not get them to loot, I'll ahve a look at it.

Updated to new patch. After looking at the official followers effects I've decided to keep all 34 avaialble in the mod because they are not really redundant. Enjoy the new RoR and the 44 followers!

The new mod will be coop focused. I want to make players share the cost and benefits of the oak of ages and in the mini campaign I wanna activate the script and morghur increasing attacks, which are not present in the multiplayer. It could be difficult. For the tree I know how I'm going to proceed though I'd wish I could use the proper interface...

What are you gonna do in your new mod? The other wood elves mod I use is this one: Wood Elves Conquer Anywhere - New buildings and amber system. It really makes playing Wood Elves fun. That mod plus this mod and some various reskin mods = a very happy Welf player.

Love to hear new ideas about your new mod. You're a very talented mod maker from the looks of your work here. Looking forward to hearing and seeing what you do. And thanks again for this mod. And so gglad you made follows fully transferable. I was having issues with that...

Elves do not have race specific magic items, I dont think. I dont know if you want to delve into magic items, but this mod addresses one of the two things Elves didnt come with, followers and magic items. I dont know of a mod that covers elf magic items. So if you expanded the scope of this mod, I'd be relieved and impressed.

There are all sorts of item ideas like specifically Boots of Elvenkind (plus Speed or extra Campaign move). Elven blades, axes, staves and bows. Elven rings, amulets, jewelry and crowns. Elven stones, trinkets and talismans. Mithril armor, shields and helms. Arcane items like
Elven Books of Lore, Sigils, Banners and more...

There are numerous existing magic items, and I use a mod called Better Atrifacts, but nothing specific in it for Elves I've seen...

Fixed the followers not being transferrable between characters. I've started work on a new wood elves mod, because I was frustratred with the state of the mini campaign and coop gameplay. heavy scripting ahead but I hope to fix some oversight from CA

I like the followers for Heroes ive V0.6. Are you going to expand any on them? And I agree a little bit with followers being equivalent to a skill point. Keeps them balanced, but some single skill points are quite powerful and some followers abilities are quite nearly useless. I hope you delve into Elven magic and come up with followers that can be used by heroes that offer magic attributes like casting items which never seem to appear in the game for the elves. I think there's opportunity for some cool ideas.

This is one of the top two mods for the wood elves. Keep it up. And thanks!

Yeah we tried this in coop in the mini campaign but couldn't complte it because a save was corrupted or something. I hope it's not the mod, seemed more tied to a trait. But since in coop one of the two players doesn't control the tree of ages, public order is a really issue and they helped a lot. I think I'm done updating until the Norsca update. Then I'll see if they add followers for real or not ^^;

Cutting in half sounds reasonable. Many of them, especially the public order ones, were really helpful. Don't know that you need to make them stronger.

I've tryed unsucessfully to avoid getting a follower instead of a magic item when you accept the chaos corruption during the dreamwood event. I'm sorry about this :/

Four new followers almost done ! I'm just wondering about their power and drop level. Would you say a follower can be equivalent to a single skill point? More, less than this? I'm thinking about a missille resit, fire resist, mov speed and mistcast chance modifier for them.

I'm a bit wary of making followers able to entirely replace skill lines for generals. The fletcher is mostly a good buddy for a waystalker instead. It's best to keep the scope near the power of existing followers. Of course general have to keep slots for banners, and plenty of possible effects that's why I'm focusing more on character buff for the next batch, followers to give to the waystalkers, spellsingers and branchwraiths

Ahh. I dont think I'd waste a spot on a Fletcher to give only my character extra ammo. What if there were a way to improve all your archers ammo by say 5%? That'd be a tough call. 5% extra ammo... maybe 8? I dunno. Be nice to see a fletcher work for the whole army. The wording of the Bow Master made me think it improved the rank of existing archers, not newly created ones. My bad.

Hello, the fletcher only increases the character ammo, not the army (I felt it would be too powerful)
The bow master should increase recruiting levels for archers. I checked with glade guards but maybe it doesn't work other units? I used an existing skill from the wood elves for this one.

I also noticed the Fletcher and Bow Master didnt give my archers bonuses. I checked using Glade Riders, Gldae Guard and Waywatchers. None of them increased their rank or added any ammunition.

With your last update, theres a good bit of variety now and it's always a surprise, kinda like a cracker jack box, what am I gonna get this time? I think it's all really great. Let me pose to you an observation upon completing my last campaign. I noticed that all the magic items the elves managed to find and steal from the enemy over the course of my 130 turn campaign, I never found any casting items my Spellsingers could use or any hero could use. I dont know if I was unlucky, as I found numerous armors, swords, trinkets and banners, but never a casting item. And to think the Elves were good at magic. Ha!

So if you do a Spirit themed followers addon, may I request that some of these new followers adresss the dearth, nay, completel lack of these items and go on to fill in or support the Spell Singers? Thanks. Love your mod!

I'm envisioning one last update before the 10 august FLC, minor spirit themed. Those would include pixies (char vigor loss reduction) sylph (missile dmg reduction on flyers) , naiad (fire resist on char) (and of course the sprite is already here).
I'm curious to know what do you think of the current power level, of course too.

I've decided to keep followers being a bit more special and did a pretty hefty cut of 30-50% of the overall drop rates since the original drop rates modelled on other factions were likely to high.
I've brought a little gift, though, with a 30th follower, the fletcher who brings +15% ammo to characters.
As always keep me informed if you find this acceptable or not.

I find the drop rate a little too copious. So I agree a little shave is in order. I'm on turn 105 and nearing the completion of my campaign and have been delighted with this mod. I look forward to using the newest additions. This is a MUST HAVE mod for any Welf playthru.

Why not try to make the Wood Elf follower a bit different than the standard one then? Like pretty rare, but more powerfull ? (-50% drop rate, +50% effect)

Nice to see you could do an entire campaign without issues. You're right about the drop rates, I've written my scripts taking clues from the human followers but when playing empire I had the same feeling of being showered by them after each battle. I've tried a little drop rate shave, but maybe I should be bolder and cut them in half. What do you think?

Hello, update is coming soon with a new portrait and seven units. It should save compatible, but as I add new followers I'll have to tone down a bit their individual chance of drop to avoid a flood.

Oh, that'd be freaking awesome! I hope its save game compatible. Dont want new additions ruining a save game. Thank you so much for this mod. It adds so much to the Welfs. Im really enjoying it.

Nice to know. I have idea for incoming expansions, I'm gonna draw another elf male and maybe another spirit. Then I'll add a couple redundant public order chars, something for training animals and another archers. A follower for increasing character ammo, and probably a rare one for forest dragons.

@myxolov : The mod only adds its own entries and use separate scripts for follower drops, so it's likely to be compatible with overhauls. I can't say it will be balanced, though.
It would be nice to keep me informed on wether it works with a variety of things.

And no, there hasn't been any followers for the wood elves so far. There might me in the incoming FLC - in which case this mod will be short lived - but nothing is sure, and CA hasn't aknowledged the issue. That 's why I went with custom art.

Hello, I've brought down some values already, the item drop went to 8%, the razine income bonus down to 10%, the movement down to 8%

This is awesome! Thank you. Never played elves before and Im about to. Scoured Steam looking for good DLeds. You might want to put wood elves in your description so people can hit this mod when they search for wood elf mods.

Also, were there not followers for welfs before? Never played them.

I would bring down the values on the wood elf followers personally. Wood Elves are already pretty strong, like for example 15% magic drop chance is the highest in the game, their usually 8% I think.

Other than that seems really well done.
