@Mirones: what actually inspired me to do this ship was the Tall Ships Races event in Turku this year. I was there just gazing the ships though.
Mirones 15 Nov, 2017 @ 8:21pm
@Ionwind if you are in Europe there is yearly Hanseatic Sail in Rostock wich around 250-300 vessels or Kieler Woche. lots of 4h sailing you can do on alot of diffrent vessels

@Dave: I'm just an enthusiast, but I'd like to go sailing on a tall ship some time.
Dave 15 Nov, 2017 @ 11:13am
did you used to sail sorlandet or are a tallship enthusiast?
i used to work on sorlandet so i was surprised to see my old job in the work shop XD

@Dave, I was considering it at one point, but there's so much work in this kind of complex models that I don't see myself making another one anytime soon.
Dave 15 Nov, 2017 @ 9:35am
considered making a statsraad lehmkuhl?
Karumäki  [author] 30 Oct, 2017 @ 1:08pm
@Mirones, ferry wouldn't make much sense, but I made a passenger ship version: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1186169396
Mirones 30 Oct, 2017 @ 9:51am
is a ferry version possible too or as passenger ship?
Karumäki  [author] 15 Aug, 2017 @ 9:04am
Dr4g0nK: yes, apparently the ship is currently in Arendal.
El Barto 15 Aug, 2017 @ 5:06am
Is this in Arendal?

Thank you for your suggestions @MrMiyagi. This asset consists of a main building, which uses the marina template and a sub-building that uses ship wreck template. The ship itself is the sub-building and main building is just the lifebuoy rack that has the stats. I will probably soon publish the ship as a standalone asset that won't require any DLC.
MrMiyagi 12 Aug, 2017 @ 8:51am
Jerenable's bridges were all imported as that power plant with all building stats set to 0. That's why his bridges show up on the electric tab :D

Hi Ionwind. I can at least guide you in the right direction. First, you can check with Giometry E to find out which item he used as a template for his floating ships. He's really nice. Shop is here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561198032635308/myworkshopfiles/?appid=255710
Then all you have to do is reimport the model under the template Giometry used.
Then my idea: try using the 20Mw wind power plant under electric tab (the plant that is only placeable on water). Set its power production, fire risk and all other needs to zero. You could publish it as a separate upload of this ship, a "no DLC required" version. Tourists will not come to it, but so many people (like me) love these ships just for the decoration! People who want tourist numbers can use this one, and those without DLC, or like me who like just decoration and don't care about statisitcs, can use the other.
Karumäki  [author] 12 Aug, 2017 @ 7:39am
@Chris6d: It might be possible but I don't know how to do that. The asset uses Marina as a template and Marina comes with After Dark. If there are any experienced modders, I'd be happy to hear if this is possible.
Chris6d 12 Aug, 2017 @ 7:04am
Can you make a non-DLC version, or is this not possible
ecania 12 Aug, 2017 @ 1:02am
GORGEUS, THANK YOU
MrMiyagi 10 Aug, 2017 @ 6:06pm
Oh. My. God. Thank you!!! This is a beauty.
nym1980 10 Aug, 2017 @ 4:36pm
Beautiful!
Karumäki  [author] 10 Aug, 2017 @ 12:00pm
I did some changes in the ship's vertical position. If you have placed the asset on your city before this moment, it might be underwater now. Placing the asset again fixes the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience!
BoxHead 10 Aug, 2017 @ 5:39am
I might also suggest other players think about incorporating this beauty as a static display in a dry dock situation. I am going to use this as a centre piece to a marine museum park.

OMFG! Mate, as a man who grew up on boats; mostly yachts, I am super happy with this wonderful big rigger. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful model. :)

What a beautiful ship! Thanks for sharing.
