I assure you that you will not win all fight by just spamming that tho.
(Plus i have a mod that makes alot of fights harder.)
it isnt too strong, and it isnt weak, i has that nice feel of being just right.
though when you do need a strong heal it does have a hard time filling that without spamming the heals and hope they dont keep focusing the same target.
btw, i have to praise you, you made the character which i missed from the game
i like the idea of the druid, and it have a certain synergi with tha acolyte, but the artwork just isn't up to DD standart and the borrowing of skill icons from other classes just irks me..
If this gets sorted out i will start using it again, but until then. properly not.
Great start though.
It's perfectlly balanced and should be a part of the main game.
The art is beautiful and has the same style as original heroes.
Many thanks for this mod, you are the best.
The reason the mark only lasts 1 round is mainly a flavor thing, it was never really intended as something you can use without getting lucky.
the logic behind it was that while the enemy is getting entangled by the plants they wouldn't be able to properly defend themselves.
in hindsight it is pretty janky and changing the ability to either remove the mark or make the mark last longer is probally a good idea.
the speed debuff lasts the same amount of time as any debuff btw.
Dont get me wrong I enjoy the druid as a Healer class, its a very well thought out Healer.
Do not remember if your speed debuff was 1 or 2 rounds, usually that was not the reason behind using the stun, just stopped using it for marking as it wasnt reliable for that. and stunning was better done on classes with trinkets to boost stuns for them, druid does not have that support.
This would still rely on a little luck, but its luck pushed a tiny bit in your favor. The mark just seems out of place in this class for the ONE action it stays on.
As a general rule of thumb from my study of classes and abilities, Buffs should last 2-3 rounds, Debuffs should last a Minimum of 2 rounds (or boss actions, but for bosses 3 rounds is prefered)
Anything that lasts only 1 round should either be powerful, or are a waste.
stuns are powerful, bleeds and blights are weak if they last only 2 unless they are big amounts.
so the mark is more a oh look you might be able to use this but your not doing the better action economy tactics, as a stunned target is less a threat or priority. (if you dont stun it then your purpose of the move was a miss/failure anyways, marking for 1 action usually wont help either).
but the perk of a mark isnt really helping usless you get the druid in a lucky speed ROLL and the enemy you marked in a Lucky LOW speed roll.
If anything have the mark last ONE turn more, so that way at least one round of it being there is available normally. otherwise its just better to heal (usually the AOE one) or attempt to stress heal with cure (even if you dont need the cure part)
I know I will be doing this if the buff is not lasting long enough to prove useful.
I agree the Druid should NOT be a Stress healer, and the fact that you can with the cure spell as an aoe, is a nice bonus. Cant complain its fair.
Only thing I would like see changed is the MARK Duration increased, its too short as it is not to really utilitize effectively.
(especially as the druid is so slow compared to most damage dealers that use marking.)
Marks usually drop off before they can be used by the party.
(its too weak to use for marking teams efficently, unless the mark lasted another 1-2 rounds, 2 prefered.)
for those who are still wondering, I've started working on the trinkets, i expect them to be finished sometime next week.
