Ahh it seems the capture pods are killing the monsters instead of capturing them

This is the only mod I have that effect capture pods / pet system. When I throw the pod at a weakened monster it hits them, they disappear and the pod stays blue, I pick it back up and it goes back to the stack. Anyone else?

Hi! Is this mod the one that changes Dr. Akaggy to have real penguin noises?

If so, it is conflicting with Dr. Akaggy’s Mech Shop, which relies on the original Dr. Akaggy to sell mech parts.

The pet panels seem to have some weird behaviors. I've had the pets duplicate when I come back to my ship, but they all disappear whenever I send out a captured pet, or come back to the ship with one active. If a pet panel is up while I have a captured pet out, the panel-spawned pet keeps de/respawning. What's going on here?

Is this mod forcing the same music to play whenever there's a special monster variant around? I keep getting the same song playing over and over and over whenever there's a special monster variant around and it's driving me nuts.

gosh I wish so, so badly I could just get these beautiful wild mobs without the gameplay tweaks. mods that give the wildlife more variety are incredibly scarce, I'm finding

I absolutely love this mod and I keep waiting for the update, but is there any way to turn off the auto-naming of pets? Yes, I know they can just be renamed, but sometimes that resets the colors. I'd rather have the cool color and no name than the plain vanilla color.

I remember bug testing for this mod on my old pc before it broke down years ago. I even remember i helped come up with a few of the mobs. I remember one of them was called mr.whisper. I doubt anyone who worked on the mod remembers me, but if you do remember me Manic feel free to contact me, and im sorry it took me this long to replace my old pc.

I was wondering if this was compatible with FU. For anyone wondering, according to FU discord, this is already integrated into FU. Though they did exclude some things from the mod that they did not want. Installing both this and FU at the same time cant be good for you.

What mods is this incompatible with? I can't seem to be able to use Capture Pods as the game does not respond to my clicks, and my log file reports several string errors of "Error messaging pet system -65536 with pets.podPets: Message not handled by entity" when I attempted to use them.

uninstalling this mod will make any planets that can spawn monsters from this mod unable to be beamed down to (since beaming down to them crashes the game)

also I've noticed this mod (maybe it's the titans, or one of the patches) seems to add a fair bit of lag with picking up new items.
I've got a number of mods, and experience a bit, but I thought I'd mention that this mod and/or its related mods significantly add to that.

And a question. I this mod safe to unsubscribe?

... the cat panel produces more cats every time I come back to the ship...
and now some of them won't disappear even though I've removed the panel... lol

... also... I don't like how the ship pet's no longer tied to the SAIL panel.
Though it's nice that you can change your pet colour, or remove them if you want, etc, the new panel's too big.
I like to decorate and build, and when starting out I need every block of space to decorate my teeny ship.
A smaller panel that takes up 1x1 blocks would be more ideal...

On a different note, I find the items you start with on your ship OP (6 capture pods for a new character?) and disruptive to the immersion/atmosphere of having barely escaped from your home world's destruction.
I'd like to suggest that all of the items be acquired at the Outpost, perhaps at a Shop with an npc or 2 to take you through the details... for a cost. (nothing's free in life after all. And I love challenge and earning things over free hand outs)

I really like the look of this mod, however, I have mixed feelings about the random music that plays at the main menu. It's a neat idea (one I would've mentioned in the description... it took me a while to figure out which new mod was doing that)

I'd like to suggest a music menu at the main menu so anyone can select any song they like, and even keep it to one, or a selection, that will always play when the main menu loads.

Personally I love the original theme song. And I find some of the random songs that come up don't exactly gel with the excitement of starting a new character/universe, etc.

Most of it was taken out, but all i had to do was look in the credits file and easy enough, "ManicRykker" is credited for "Pandora's Box, balance adjustments, script contributions"

This mod wasn't wholy absorbed, as many of it's monsters were actually the same as FU, plus i've seen it mentioned in the FU Bug Report thread, quite a few times, that installing this and FU is "redundant, this mod is part of FU"

As far as I know, FU did NOT merge this with their mod. I cannot find ANY of this mod's content in FU's files.

The only bit of real news i can provide is that this mod has been consumed into Frackin' Universe, so there's the only front where it's apparently getting updates, however they didn't include all of the mod since they probably didn't want the furniture and cosmetics, and a lot of monster variations clashed with their existing variations.

So you can pick your poison:
McHuge mod without all of this and a whole lot of everything else,
Or this mod, as incomplete and aged as it is.

I'd be glad to hear some more news myself, and if the dev has been doing okay, but i gotta admit Starbound is old, most developers lose interest, and times are rough. Best of luck to them, but i don't have high hopes.

Yes it conflicts since last updates from Arcana or Knightfall.
Game crashes directly after the Chucklefish Intro on startup.

Not sure where to post this since there is no Bug Reports discussion, but I noticed that this mod is currently crashing with Frackin' Universe (of course). Seems like the glitched poptop monster type file ("pandorasboxglitchtop.monstertype") won't load properly. Any pointers on how to patch this? Here is my log: https://pastebin.com/RdF7Lzaf

Is there anyway I could get the Spawn ID for the Protectorate Drone Pod? I created a new char and I am trying to get the Pink one to spawn, and having to reload my game every 5 seconds because RNG is mean... is getting to be a bit much, but I want the drone to match my outfit. Please help <3

Are you unpacking the mod to your desktop? If not, try that. The files and folder names for this mod get very long, and Windows's file system has a limit on the length of those things. If it goes over it errors during Unpack. Otherwise, check if the file is marked as "unlocked" under it's properties (Right click, properties), as Windows will block files from other computers.

Does this mod prevent ship pets from spawning? When I install it, new characters do not have ship pets.

I feel like it may be this mod, as almost no others alter existing monsters, but EVERY time I see/go near a Gosmit, the planet fails and it sends me straight back to my ship. Any way to fix this? or is it b/c of a conflict or another mod altogether? Please help.
