Oh good :) In general that's because the FontIcons are not setup properly. FontIcons need their own separate Icon Atlas (22x22 pixels in size), like this:

<Row Name="ICON_ATLAS_TCS_GLASS_RESOURCE_FONT_ICON" Baseline="6" IconSize="22" IconsPerRow="1" IconsPerColumn="1" Filename="TCS_GlassResource_FontIcon.dds"/>

...and then an entry like this under IconDefinitions:

<Row Name="TCS_RESOURCE_GLASS" Atlas="ICON_ATLAS_TCS_GLASS_RESOURCE_FONT_ICON" Index="0"/>

After that, you should be able to use [ICON_TCS_RESOURCE_GLASS] or whatever your resource is and it will show up correctly in text.

I am referring to adding a resource in general. Your mod has had no problems!
thecrazyscotsman  [author] 9 Sep, 2017 @ 12:15pm
Did that happen to you with this mod? Or are you referring to adding a resource in general?

@thecrazysctosman

Awesome patch, just had a game with Sidon and everything ran smoothly with Resourceful and glass trading.

If you don't mind me asking, when making Glass, did you ever have the Glass luxury icon that is displayed across the top bar not appear, and instead show something like ICON_RESOURCE_GLASS? If so, what did you do to fix it?

Thank you for the clarification, and thank you for the mod =)

I specifically intended for the second copy of the resource to be tradeable. You can lose access to it, true, but the game treats it exactly like any resource you are selling through a deal and then lose access to.
Ruben Thomas 8 Sep, 2017 @ 5:00am
Maybe a loaded question, but are you supposed to be able to trade away luxuries granted by city states anyway? You can't trade away the ones Jakarta (?) give you in the vanilla game, cloves and cinnamon (?). Seems weird to be able to trade away a luxury for thirty turns that isn't really yours and that you could lose access to any second.

Now that you've added the possibility to trade them away anyway though, maybe it would be nice to write something like "these luxury resources are tradable" or something to Sidon's suzerain text, so it's apparent they are different from the luxury resources given to you by vanilla city states.

It was the particular effect I was using...apparently using the same effect that Hattusa does results in untradeable resources so I had to do a modifier chain workaround using the effect that Great Merchants use to grant resources.

Great to hear! What was the glass issue - an icon or something?
thecrazyscotsman  [author] 5 Sep, 2017 @ 7:03pm
I've just released an update which should allow Glass to be traded, correctly apply Sidon's plantation bonus to all plantations, and added support for Resourceful.
Vaulen 26 Aug, 2017 @ 1:35pm
I can confirm that the Sidon Glass luxuries are untradeable, likely as a result of being a CS gift.

I also noticed that Sidon was not providing production to all my plantations. Specifically, Spice plantations were NOT working, while Incense was functioning correctly.

Sidon also has some compatibility issues with Resourceful, since it adds a custom plantation improvement (identified as IMPROVEMENT_PLANTATION2). So the custom resources used within Resourceful that require the custom plantation will also not benefit from the Sidon bonus.

Cool! Thanks for all your great mods, man.

Thanks :) I've got stuff going on this weekend so I probably won't be able to really examine it until next week, but I'll certainly post what I figure out.

FWIW, I took a look in your code and couldn't see anything obviously wrong :/ If you do figure it out, please share! I'm using this excellent mod as a template for my own city-state mod :) Thanks!
thecrazyscotsman  [author] 25 Aug, 2017 @ 5:01pm
Ugh...ok, I'll start figuring it out.

I found an issue with Sidon's suzerain bonus. Glass does not show up in your deals, so you can't trade away that 2nd copy.

Amazing work yet again!

Nice

yee
Good release! Glad to see more city-states in the game as it offers more diversity in my opinion.
