Well ExtraEntitiesMod is built into combat mode and is the part that provides the falling damage; I'm not sure you can turn it off.
CuriLife 19 Sep, 2013 @ 5:02pm
k Ill give turning off that a try.
Brian  [author] 19 Sep, 2013 @ 2:43pm
It is most likely just ExtraEntitiesMod then. It gets broken a lot due to its size, and not fixed very quickly.
CuriLife 17 Sep, 2013 @ 10:18pm
Yes. I am not sure if this is a conflict with mod. I run Shine on top of this mod. It seems to be happening with any map with fall damage.

You mean a regular standing jump?
CuriLife 16 Sep, 2013 @ 2:55pm
Fall dammge seems to be bugged. If a marine jumps. He take about 75 damage. The second jump = death. Anyone else have this problem?

Don't get me wrong, i really love the style :D

Well, the damage is not high usually, it's bearable.
You don't jump a lot anyway as a regular marine.

The weird thing is that it happens with jetpacks too :o
Brian  [author] 27 Jan, 2013 @ 2:44pm
Yeah I thought the same thing but I didn't code the falling damage so the only thing I can do about it is turn it off. Then it is a marine-biased map. :D

I haven't played on it since turning on fall damage. Just how bad is it?
GooseLetLoose 27 Jan, 2013 @ 2:07pm
Heavily alien biased map, never seen it won by marines.

1m jumps will result in falling damage.
30m jumps falling damage still isn't enough to kill a marine.

wtf?

If only spark engine supported the kinds of things you could do on those maps :) Like light switches, flushing toilets, sinks you could fill with water and empty again. Springboards too, if I recall.

I'd like to make another more traditional rats-style map (great big open center), but I fear it would be completely unbalanced in NS2 :D

Love maps like these. Loved to play rats in CS.
DaJanitor 3 Jan, 2013 @ 3:42pm
this reminds me of the old 3DO green soldier games.

I'm 99% certain that is just steam workshop being unreliable. Or maybe NS2's implementation is poor. Either way, that happens to me all the time with all kinds of mods. It is really irritating :D

wont download when attemping to join a server
Brian  [author] 1 Jan, 2013 @ 8:59pm
I've seen it on a couple servers :)

The ns2stats website can help you find a server that plays any particular map if you look at their Maps tab.

Update Dec 27, 2012:

Enabled falling damage.
Thickened some of the freezer (Marine start) walls so alien body parts are less likely to clip all the way through.

Reminds me of something straight out of the old playstation army men games.

Turkeyburger map reborn!

Interesting, reminds me of the "rats" maps back in half life 1 and other half life mods.
