Biotic Class Redux

I've tried fixing, but can't seem to get it working so any help would be great.

Tried the mod and the bioamp shows up on the class when promoted but if removed is gone from the secondary items permanently. I also don't get the option to upgrade to the T2/T3 ones.

I'm doing it in a Long War of the Chosen playthrough and I'm using no more psyamps. I tried editing LWOTC overhaul with:

so it matched the psyamp, but that didn't do anything either. I am also using the no more psyamps mod, but from what I've read that should effect the bioamp showing up just means the underlay can't be used with biotics.

Use the mod called commanders choice it let's you decide what class your soldier should be.

@blasterscope you got it. You don't need the deprecated promo screen mod when you've got Community Promotion Screen. CPS will work in its place. (This is true of all mods that list the deprecated one as a requirement; CPS functions just fine as a replacement.)

Is there a way to use the biotic amps also for other psy abilities like "Soulfire"? It just doesn't do any damage for me.

@AlShegardy92 "No more psi amps" just takes away the amp as a cosmetic. You still have to upgrade the "implant" for using abilities and doing more damage, just like in mass effect. I hope that actually answered your question

Are there any restrictions on BioticOverdrive for some reason that I cannot figure out, it is no longer available.
Its listed as a skill but unable to select it as greyed out, any thoughts? thanks.

iam using no more psi amps mod.

but i still get the choice to buy the upgrade to this bioamp weapon although it is not usable in my playthroughs. how do i disable bioamps?

@Kinsect it's not working for me. It keeps on saying "Missing Dependencies" for the old "Deprecated" Promotion Screen version

Any ideas on why the mod weapon data does not work in game? The mod seems to work entirely except for the abilities under "XComGameData_WeaponData" only do 1 damage and no rupture or anything. WarpShot and Backlash and the barrier all work perfectly though. I'm using the psionics v3 overhaul with the plugin if that affects anything

@Atmus81 Do you have those changes and can share? Looked at the ini files and couldn't really tell what should be changed. Barrier seems to large and quick to regen. Warp seems a couple points too strong.

IM having so much fun with this class but i had to DRASTICALLY tone this class down to be more in line with the vanilla classes via config. class is very OP

The New Promotions Screen has been replaced by the Community Promotion Screen. Can I just use this mod and the Community one as well? Or do I still need the Deprecated NPS?

Small bug: Trying to use Singularity while concealed it will blank out the ability with the message that the unit is already concealed

This class has a poor elaboration of psi-effects.

There is even a description: you unload your weapon with psi-energy and shoot at the enemy, but in fact the soldier just shoots, that's all.

So if I'm using the Commander's choice mod can I only get them from lost missions where there's a chance to get them and/or Covert operations Rescue Resistance Leader?
(if neither than what command do I input to get one?)

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm about to start a new play through and was planning on using this combo

"i'm using this with RPGO and LWOTC, and it seems to work 97% fine with one weird exception: i can't get the Bioamp secondary item to equip automatically if i take the Gunslinger (pistol) specialization tree. i'm guess this is because LWOTC and Primary Secondaries interact weirdly with pistols... which normally isn't a problem because you can manually switch them out.

except that with the Restricted Weapons of RPGO and the "hidden" bioamps of this mod, you CAN'T switch them out...

so i'm trying (unsuccessfully) to find a console command to either add bioamps as an actual item, or at least force equip one on my one senile old man i want running around with a pistol and an irresponsible payload of biotics..."

Has the missing amp problem been solver, i saw a bridge for it but i dont want to have to build every weapon individually.

Works for me in LWOTC. However, I don't know if it is a bug in singularity or if it is a mod interaction issue. Using it in LWOTC right now and it seldom pulls any enemies towards the center. Usually they just flop in their original tile. At best they move one tile and that is infrequent. This occurs even when there are no objects between the enemy tile and the center of the effect. I wonder if it has something to do with the first valid floor check occurring on the starting tile rather than the first tile along the vector and that somehow failing incorrectly.

After I finish this campaign I will try it in RPGO to see if the behavior is the same. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a known fix?

What is the item name for the tier 1, 2, and 3 biotic amp for those of us having the issue where it doesn't show up? The class is working fine but has no amp so the abilities do almost no damage and don't apply status effects correctly.

Biotic Redux plugin for Psionics overhaul V3 was seemingly the problem. That mod appears to not only not work at all(Tested it with over 8 psi training attempts) but it also blocks The Biotic Class from spawning by overwriting its Ini tweaks with 0 for: NumInForcedDeck and NumInDeck.

For those in my predicament: Go to the Biotic Redux plugin mods folder and change "NumInForcedDeck" to 4 Will allow it to appear in the GTS.

The class does not seem to spawn, Also does not show up in GTS after i set NumInForcedDeck to 4.
Also, attempted adding it with a console command after i found its class I'd, While it took the command, Again, No class.
Note: I am also using the Biotic Redux plugin for Psionics overhaul V3, Its possible that mod outright disables the class since the Biotic ability's are now trainable on any class that is *gifted*

@Rauschepauli I tested it with LWOTC and it is not working, the game doesn't think it as a class and keep sending an extra operative every mission. I'm trying to find a way to edit it

Please note: This mod is incompatible with the "Energy Shield Overhaul". That mod does have an exception list, but not sure how you'd add this classes use of the energy shield under it.

There's a bug or oversight to the Biotics Charge ability, the description says "Provides a move only action point to allow the biotic to reposition", however it still allows the biotic to shoot after using it, haven't tested if other abilities are able to be used too since mine only has Charge, but it seems like a powerful 2 move combo of charge + shoot that I think might make it a bit unbalanced.

@Rogers773 did you ever figure this out? I have a biotic with no amp, but I unlocked psionics via console commands see the advanced amp shows up there. im not sure if theres a tech i need to unlock, or what though.

Yes, I am using the AML. Just thinking and reading above, I wonder if the "No More Psi Amps" mod I'm using is affecting the biotic amp not showing up at all. I mean, my psionic class is using the vest underlay to do her abilities.

For the dependency issue do you use the alternate mod launcher? It may complain, but it should still work. And you can check a box to to ignore the dependency
