you know what i need it pal
yes! a well trained militia!
Plascode 3 May, 2018 @ 3:40pm
I'm a bit late but @Akos, these guys are militia, basically civvies trained on how to use a gun and not much else, they can't really be compared to your soldiers whose main purpose is to kill ayys.
Akos 15 Apr, 2018 @ 11:11am
I assume that their higher base accuracy is to compensate for the stupid level of AI they have and the overwhelming number of enemies. Also why wouldn't they be good at fighting? It's literally their entire purpose.

@Aegelweard:
Look at the Updated time stamp, top right.

This is .ini edits so 99% sure not affected by the WoTC patches.
Aegelweard 22 Jan, 2018 @ 5:32am
@Charmed Did you update this mod post-patch? I wonder if it'll work in case I subscribe to it.
Charmed  [author] 20 Oct, 2017 @ 6:52pm
@Battlestar yeah just saw the patch now. Several of my mods need to be updated apparently.
Battlestar 20 Oct, 2017 @ 5:07am
Just a heads up, it looks like the patch knocks accuracy down from 95 to 85 across the board. I imagine you'll just need to update these numbers to allow this to work properly.

@Charmed; thank you! :ghlol:
Charmed  [author] 18 Sep, 2017 @ 10:12am
@retrorebus characterstats and weapondata inis in the mod folder
Retro 18 Sep, 2017 @ 3:01am
what file needs to be edited to make changes to the militia??

I'd like to increase their base damage but keep aim the same xD
Charmed  [author] 12 Sep, 2017 @ 3:49pm
Fixed the weapon data change not working, there was a naming error.
Chirumiru ShiRoz 12 Sep, 2017 @ 10:29am
Sorry but I realized i have to unsub from this one as I now understands why the militas are made so overpowered.

Trust me, you want them to be when you're fighting a Chosen while 6 Berserkers. 4 mutons 3 lancers and 2 facelesses did absolutely nothing BUT MURDURING THE ENTIRE CAMP.

Seriously, the militas themselves are not the problem, the problem is that the Chosen doesnt always appear as Bradford claimed to be. You're forced to deal with the Chosen while endless amounts of berserkers kills 4+ civilians every turn. IT IS NOT FUN when your ally are so helplessly incompetent.

I just changed wotc ini to your settings, but 10/10 for this
pmsgamer 12 Sep, 2017 @ 5:09am
Bradford: "Damnit, Commander, we sent you to show them how to shoot, what the hell goes on down there?""
Charmed  [author] 12 Sep, 2017 @ 3:33am
Yeah I noticed that, I will take a look, although to me it didn't feel off in a balance sense.
=[NK]= Col. Jack O'Neil 12 Sep, 2017 @ 1:24am
I've got something conflicting.. Most shots are only doing 2 dmg :(

Lol and RNG hates me, especially if it isn't working, had 4 flanked shots by my militia miss!!
pmsgamer 5 Sep, 2017 @ 2:33am
@SciFi311, only you can whip those 65 shot schmuks into shape. Good luck, Commander.
Hugobertington 2 Sep, 2017 @ 11:32am
The main problem with the soldiers isn't inherent aim, it's that their taking free shots at Fog-Of-War unactivated enemies. So the attacked Enemy pod has no defense.
Schadenfreude 2 Sep, 2017 @ 10:55am
I feel the Haven Assault missions are completely balanced around these soldiers hitting, they are tremendously important, especially in the early game. Against enemies in cover the new 60-75 becomes even less reliable. I'm not sure if a 1.5 damage mod is an equal compensation. Maybe taking away their ability to crit entirely would be a good nerve towards them? I think it's a bit bullshit, too, that they hit so reliably, but they seem a necessary evil to me.
Magni 2 Sep, 2017 @ 9:49am
Aww, but I like the militia guys ever since the ones on Operation God Father holed up in a ruined apartment and basically re-enaced The Raid on thsoe poor ADVENT schmucks.
Giant Hat 2 Sep, 2017 @ 9:37am
If these amateurs have 95 aim, how come the resistance keeps sending me schmucks with 65 aim?!
Dęąth Viper 2 Sep, 2017 @ 1:15am
yeah I did.. :( I tried to make them stronger because with my mods they get wiped out in a matter of seconds and only like 1 or 2 survive so I want them to put up a fight
Charmed  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 1:13am
@frizzeldian12 make sure you only change the + section, not the - ?
Dęąth Viper 2 Sep, 2017 @ 1:10am
the changes I made didnt take effect not sure if I did something wrong
Charmed  [author] 2 Sep, 2017 @ 1:01am
@frizzeldian12 yeah, it's a very simple mod, easy to change in the ini
Olof Plays 1 Sep, 2017 @ 11:12pm
The resistance militia is definitely OP - so, subscribed! I don't want my XCOM soldiers to become unemployed after all. :P
Dęąth Viper 1 Sep, 2017 @ 7:47pm
can we adjust these settings in the ini??
Maebalzurakin 1 Sep, 2017 @ 7:31pm
They wiped out the whole map for me and were fighting one of the Chosen. I could barely keep up and get a shot in. I got there just in time to see them defeat the Chosen for me.
eldiabs 1 Sep, 2017 @ 6:33pm
Cracks me up when they are engaging a muton on the other side of the map that doesn't shoot back at them until my team actives the pod. That's probably the worst thing about those missions. Or maybe the best...I dunno. Showcases the glaring issue they have with firing animations though...
Charmed  [author] 1 Sep, 2017 @ 6:23pm
Adjusted their damage up some, now they're slightly better than bullpups.
pmsgamer 1 Sep, 2017 @ 6:20pm
I found it kind of unusual that by the time I got to my turn, they had killed the Faceless already, lol. I'm like "Why were we even called? Okay, photobooth, everyone!"
LeMarteau 1 Sep, 2017 @ 6:10pm
Indeed, that is probably why their aim is so high. They don't do much damage. An interesting mod! :)
Dreyfus0414 1 Sep, 2017 @ 6:09pm
how about lowering aim but increasing damage to make them more like rookies?
Boisegangpc 1 Sep, 2017 @ 5:52pm
I didn't know that!

Really wish the Militia would be reworked. Would be cool if they had their own unique cosmetics and weapons instead of just XCOM's.
