The only issue with this is, it got stuck on rescue mission after i stupidly evac all my soldiers. I was unable to guide the NPC out. So it just keep Ending turn automatically up to turn 40.

Yeah I have looked into this bug in the past. It's not easy to do without some pretty significant changes to the game that would impact mod compatibility. I had fixed this completely in the non-WotC version of the mod but it used a custom neutralize VIP map and it didn't work with people using other custom mission types or map mods. So for WotC I decided to go for better compatibility at the cost of not being completely fixed. Evac All _will_ solve the problem as long as you have more than one remaining soldier, but if there is just the last guy carrying someone it will still consider the carried unit dead.

For using a 2nd person to Evac a downed unit/vip inside the Evac Zone.. look for the Phantom Evac mod ;)

Is it possible to add a completely new evac script for downed units. I mean, simply being able to just evac a downed unit within the borders of the evac would be something, understand it would look goofy as hell, idk...

Playing ironman and getting shit like this really fucks the mood... and also inspires one to learn coding cuz wow how I wish I could fix stuff like this.

Just started a new campaign and tried to use, had used in the past often and succesfully, but this time the countdown for evac never counted down. Any ideas why it wouldnt work?

I'm trying to play with this mod on mac and it's making my game crash when I attempt to load any save or start a new game
It was working previously for a while on a run i started before it began crashing the game

Mods like this are the quality of life mods in XCOM 2. It happens in a lot of cases when I are annoyed with something ingame there is some creator who pushed out the right mod the fix it. I just have to look for it. :)

FYI I believe the culprit is "Militia Overhaul". This was only one of two mods that had been recently updated, and when I removed it, the symptom went away.

I removed this mod and the failure still happens.; i.e. not related to this mod. Yes Dragon32 that is what I mean. You get a "good" status on the mission because you have to kill the volunteer to end the mission.

The evac all ability is only added to units that have an evac ability, so if individual evac doesn't work for those units evac all won't show up for them or allow them to evac if you evac all another unit.

Are these extra units from the base game or from another mod?

What do you mean? Do you mean those from Volunteer Army or Double Agent resistance orders? AFAIR whether those evacced or not had no bearing on mission success.

There may be a bug here perhaps introduced with the last update from XCOM. When an extra soldier joins my crew, they don't have any evac interface. Evac all doesn't evac them and there is no option of evac them individually. This results in a failed mission.

Update posted. The crash can also occur if you create an evac zone with some tiles blocked, wait for the cooldown, and then place another zone with some tiles blocked. I also disabled displaying no-evac tiles on ADVENT evac zones like the Neutralize Field Commander mission.

@Kit Kat - Thank you for the saved game! I was able to reproduce the crash, and this looks like a real bug, the first one in quite a while. I think I know what the problem is, and will try to get an update out in the next couple of days.

Two ways to work around it:

1. Disable evac all for that mission, and then turn it back on again afterwards.
2. Keep evac all enabled but turn off the "show no evac tiles" option. That's the option that shows the slashed circle tile overlays for tiles that you can't evac from because they are blocked by some level environment above them. If you have the mod config menu installed you can disable it there, otherwise you need to modify the evac all .ini file to turn this off.

You should only need to do this for this one mission. If I'm right about the bug it can only occur on the advent general escape missions.
