I still have it in my Steam. I have the latest beta and have always had the url there. You should be able to enable it in settings ;)

Steam changed the URL system for its app, the URL is no longer visible. (It is still visible on Steam's website.). So now modders need to add the ID in the description for us.

Speaking of S+, there was a case where mats in the S+ grinder kept their stack size even with the mod broken (remember when WC broke the stack mods?). Also, we were able to use the S+ puller to convert "old stack" materials into new stack materials when the classnames were changed from NV to Child.
Would either of those help with converting to .ini stacks?

I have a few ideas for automaticly converting most of the stacks already existing, but there are some exceptions like dedicated storage that I likely can't touch without breaking.
We do have the source for S+ and the vanilla dedicated so I can do a bit of testing if I can change the class it's accepting/storing.
I don't immediately know of a way to automaticly convert items when you upload them tho, so you would have to have the new "stackmod" on all the servers you want to download them to, however this is something I will be looking into. I could give the items a name to indicate it's from my stackmod at the very least.
Stackmods have always been a strange beast and main reason I made my own as none of the ones I tried ever worked just right. Even this one has some small kinks due to how the item system works.

ack another question, sorry. Or, will there be a way to retire from using a stack mod altogether? .ini stacks work great, even for fertilizer and such, and it means you won't have to update the mod ever again :)

thought of a question, will the updated stack mod allow you to transfer things to other servers which are using the .ini stacks? I currently have .ini stacks on all servers and the stack mod on two servers, and ofc I can't transfer from the stack mod servers to the plain ini stacks servers.

Just a little update, I have not forgotten about this. Just so much happening IRL and with Valguero server that I have had very little time to update mods. I have made some progress tho and will release a second mod soon (I hope) that will allow you to keep old resources while using ini settings for stacks =)

A converter table would be terrific, I already added the native .ini stacks code so that would take care of everything. Just please make it take a lot of items? I think we'll all be trying to convert entire vaults worth of stuff :)

Hi, I'll put up a copy of this mod that you can switch to that doesn't remap the items, but you would be able to keep the old resources from this mod. Could also put in a converter table where you can swap the resources back to vanilla.
Not sure when I'll be able to do it, but will try to get it done soon as we are probably going to stop using it ourselves.
I probably can't do automatic conversion of the items as that would probably not work too well with s+ dedicated storage and other similar structures.

Hi Steven! I've been using this mod for literally years. But now we have the ability to do .ini stack configuration. I've tested it and it works fine. Do you have any advice for how to uninstall the mod without losing all of the items (due to the changed class names)?

It's probably installed then, but you need to load a backup of your save from before you started the game without my mod completely installed.
It's rare that it happens with these small mods, but it does happen.
I always check my modlist when starting singleplayer to make sure all mods are present and same with our servers I join them all to make sure mod got properly updated.

Maybe update failed or you started the game before it was done installing on the 29th?
If so, try reinstalling the mod (deleting the files of the mod locally) and have it re-install then roll back to previous save.

Also one reason I did it so people can convert to/from this mod and only excess will be lost, hit a snag with updating the extinction stacks and much happening irl so don't know when I'll be able to finish it.

Hi, if other mods use regular item names it should as usual be remapped to my stacked. If you mean custom recipes where you specified them with _NV in configs those need to be changed to _Child to work.
Old stacks work just fine, but you can convert them using S+ Transfer Tool for example.

What I usually do when I need to convert something is set up a temporary vault/crafting station and transfer from the source to this, then back again.
For S+ Dedicated Storage you have to empty it, set the type agan and then you can just consolidate (given that you converted it on the way out with transfer tool)
Make sure you use Transfer Tool and not Transfer Gun.

Regarding Extinction items I hope to have it fixed later today,

Hey Steven! Thanks for continuing to keep this mod up to date. Still the best :) Big questions about the Extinction update though. I was not running the server while all of this happened, and now all my old stacks say "old stack". So I wanted to ask how to get them to be regular stacks again. Also, you named the stacks Child_ now, so I presume I have to update my crafting recipes for other mods' items, right? Thanks for your help!

Lucky you ;) Tested for hours and hours on test server, everything was fine, old extinction stacks stayed the same and new stacks stacked 2x like it should. Transfer tool converted old to the new easily. On live it didn't however...

My deepest apologies! Everything was working smoothly on my test server, I push the update without re-cook (so it's the same as on test server/mod) and it behaves differently with the same save.. If you got the update before I had time to re-up you might have to delete the mod from the server and update, then roll back to a save before update to get old items back. Working on finding a solution so I can push increased Extinction stacks.

It sure will, just busy managing my ARK servers with all the Extinction troubles as well as IRL :p Have gotten the devkit up and running again after computer upgrade so when things calm down a bit I will try getting an update out by making fake items which I then can set new stack sizes for as there is no devkit out.

hehe I get that, but maintaining multiple mods is more of a pain than users having to copy some ini settings and alter them. :)
If my files were named the same as his (they aren't) you could probably have switched.
Making a "converter" is possible, but too tedious for me to undertake atm. :p

I have not forgotten about this, just been really busy IRL and had a few showstoppers along the way. Rather than having two different mods I am trying to make it customizable through ini. If you want there is another that does this already called HG Customized Stacks. AFAIK there is a few bugs with it still, but will probably get sorted. You can however not change from mine to his without losing the items unfortunately. Will be working through the weekend and next week to try and get it working :)

Update regarding the issues with stackmod.
I won't bother waiting for WC to fix the problem and will work around it by renaming all the BP's.
Should still be bug-free, but removal of stackmod from game/server will cause all items to disappear instead of the excess in stacks like during restarts now.
Expect update within 1-2 hrs if all goes well (hopefully).

@Steven @DTS Please, if you ever do change the prime stack size, allow us to set it in ini? If you run a server with resource gathering set to "actual challenge", you do not need to make prime a pain in the @ss to store to compensate for how easily you can get it. You need to stack prime (and everything) because it's harder to get.
