There is a setting in the the following config file :
\steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1143227500\ConfigXComClassData.ini
Change :
+BaseAbilityPointsPerPromotion=3
@Motionless Yes this mod can be used midgame but do know that if you have already a SPARK in your roster then they'll not be able to form bonds since it just says "no compatibility". Other features seem to work. However, any SPARK you build in proving grounds after downloading the mod has the bond feature working.

Still, more choices are always good. That way there is something for everybody.

I would suggest you learn from that changelog and disable certian skills the sparks could roll to learn, as they would be redundant on mechanized units (e.g. Shredder, as the spark has that by default)
