Again I had problems with archetypes. Since I want it to be used by everyone and not Synthetic Dawn users only, I had no real choice if I want to keep it simple.

Thanks btw for the feedback, appreciate that. But I think I'll make a pause with Stellaris. even with my Reworked Ships mod, AI stomps me in 1 vs 1, I guess I'm not good at strategy games anymore, and it gets frustrating over time.

@SpeisCheese I see, well, I wish I knew how to make the changes that you made- even as simple as they are, I adore this game (as you can tell by the absurd ammount of hours I have on it) and I wish I could make fun and simple mods like this, it'd be a joy, but alas I cannot. I'm not technologically smart xD but whenever you feel you have the knowledge to do something like that, that'd be awesome

I still have a lot to learn with how Stellaris modding functions. Don't forget I am not specialized in any programming language. I have done some Arma, Gmod, and now even Stellaris mods. I'm not a programmer, and studying something completely different. I wish I could change the gameplay even further, like how you said. But I have not the skills nor knowledge necessary to do such things, yet.

@SpeisCheese I agree with Krylia, its your mod. However what if you created a mod that in a way removed the restriction on biological species not being able to use the machine conciousness goverment type, then these robots (and my fox people) would be able to play like Driven Assimilators, BuT still grew and such like normal organic pops, esentially turning all other species into their personal drones and such. Just an Idea

I had to create new species because how the game works. If you want for example that every organic species uses these machines, i would have to configure them to be synthetic workers, and I have no idea how, and that was never my plan. I could also add these portraits as Xenotypes for humaans, mammals, reptilians, etc. But it would be weird, but actually not that bad of an idea.

I guess. My species will act as if they were biological beings. They consume food, they breed like organic beings, they "think" like organic beings (I mean how the AI reacts), etc

It was more for technical difficulties that I chose them to be all biological, due to the fact that I there is some bug with the machines archetype.

And my mod title is very misleading. As you said, can you consider Human-Androids to be synthetic? On one part, they are, but only half. But it is the only title that was short enough, and not completely misleading.

@SpeisCheese Now I have a question, I've legit been searching through every possible synthetic mod because personally, I dont care for the way Synth's look. I personally prefer biological robots similar to something like Data from Star Trek, where he appears human but is actually a Synthetic, so does this mod allow biological pops to be considered Synthetic? Because I want to do some Driven Assimilator space fox shenanigans xD

Well, yeah, they would be playable, only not as a machine empire.

Alternatively, just copy the vanilla Machine class (instead of Robot), change its name and portraits to yours, add my fix as a required mod (here, on the right side), and you're good to go.

Also, unless you're changing the traits, you don't need to have a copy of them with your classes. The archetypes were added exactly for that.

Here's my machine mod, if you want to check later how it should be set up. There are still some issues, but I'm working them out:

So Archetype=Biological would solve the issue then, as a temporary fix? Also btw, thanks for repirting that bug, I'm pretty new to this

@SpeisCheese you added the ROBOT archetype, but that's only for building robots. You need MACHINE to play as a machine empire. Otherwise you get an error when picking traits.
