@aikistan That's because this is a Classic mod! Bartering Tweaks is my DE evolution of what this mod is.
aikistan 13 Aug, 2019 @ 7:10pm
Does not work with DE.
LaughingLeader  [author] 16 Sep, 2018 @ 8:30am
Originally Lucky Charm was only shared between your own characters. I believe Larian eventually updated this so it's shared between the whole party now, even in multiplayer.
Yakul 16 Sep, 2018 @ 8:18am
@LaughingLeader I'm pretty sure Lucky Charm is Party wide now, but only to YOUR party. I don't think it applies to multiplayer partners, either online or local. This is going off forum posts and my own experience so I could be wrong. Shame if it's true, because your original mod was a necessity imo, made the game much more streamlined and playable
ItsKaboose 15 Sep, 2018 @ 3:26pm
@LaughingLeader Didn't know that, thanks for the info
LaughingLeader  [author] 15 Sep, 2018 @ 12:42pm
@kaboosewashere I actually went with solely bartering and persuasion in my DE follow-up mod, due to Lucky Charm being shared automatically when you loot things. That should work in multiplayer now too.
ItsKaboose 15 Sep, 2018 @ 12:19pm
I saw that you have updated some parts of this mods as seperate mods for DE. Are you planning on doing a Lucky Aura mod for DE? It is such a pain to play co-op without it
Bucketsmith 3 Sep, 2018 @ 8:39am
All right.
I read something about only select modders getting the tools early, and the rest have to wait.
LaughingLeader  [author] 3 Sep, 2018 @ 8:32am
This is a DOS2 Classic mod, so nope! DE mods will have "Version: Definitive Edition" at the top.
Bucketsmith 3 Sep, 2018 @ 7:45am
Cool, thanks.
Does this work with the DE?
LaughingLeader  [author] 3 Sep, 2018 @ 7:27am
LeaderLIb (Classic) isn't required for Civil Auras. It just has mod menu integration, so you can reduce things down to using one book to access the settings.

Some of my other mods have LeaderLib as a direct dependency, since they use its trader/treasure systems, and the helper code and all that. For those, you'll see on the right side on the Workshop page that LeaderLib is required.
Bucketsmith 3 Sep, 2018 @ 7:21am
So is your LeaderLib mod required? Or is LeaderLib on the workshop so that other modders can potentially use its functionality?
LaughingLeader  [author] 30 Aug, 2018 @ 10:05pm
@Daydream Sorry for the delayed response! I'm not sure what the issue could be, as the offending code was fixed way back at the other update, when Astynex reported the issue.

With that said, I'll be releasing a new mod for the DE called "Bartering Tweaks", that uses a whole different/streamlined system than CA (it shares your Persuasion attitude boost when trading too). That mod will take over the bartering side of CA, and should be much less prone to bugs, as we'll all be starting from fresh saves, and I've got over a year of modding experience now (CA was my second mod ever :dos2skull:).
Liese 22 Aug, 2018 @ 3:11pm
Hello, I also seem to be having the same issues that Astynex was having. I am not sure exactly when but at some point my barter aura stopped working, it may be related too travelling to Act II or having a friend on multiplayer I am not sure. Ive tried removing the mod, running a game and saving it w/o mod, then adding the mod, in addition to both debug menu fix options. Is there anything you can do to help?
Defensive Warden 12 Jun, 2018 @ 11:19pm
Thanks!
LaughingLeader  [author] 12 Jun, 2018 @ 8:08pm
Alright, just updated CA. The AI should ignore the skill completely now, whether they're polymorphed/charmed/etc.
LaughingLeader  [author] 12 Jun, 2018 @ 8:03pm
@Grey Warden Thanks for lettings me know. I wasn't aware that the AI would use the aura skills. Looking at it know, I can see I missed adding this tidbit to the skill stats data:

data "AIFlags" "CanNotUse"
That should be enough to make the AI not spam them, or use them at all.
Defensive Warden 12 Jun, 2018 @ 5:23pm
I know this mod is kinda old but I noticed a bug and I don't know if you know it. In the fight with source puppets in Arx when going to the Lucian's grave , they have an attack which translates characters to cows, who spam random attacks or spells. Beast, who memorised senaking aura skill, started spaming sneaking aura forever, but failed everytime because it wasn't sneaking. I load out from the situation but it would be good if you fixed it. I was at the end of the fight so it really hurts I will have to do all fight again, because they keep calling new enemies.
LaughingLeader  [author] 8 May, 2018 @ 4:34pm
Great! Happy barter sharing. :otrmetalhand:
Syntax_err6 8 May, 2018 @ 3:16pm
looks like that did the trick thanks again all your mods are top notch
Syntax_err6 8 May, 2018 @ 10:48am
Awesome thanks so much! I’ll test when I get home
LaughingLeader  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 6:52pm
I went ahead and uploaded the changes. So if you get those messages again, we'll be able to see the stat values it's comparing. Hopefully though, with the minor barter rewrite, that'll fix whatever's happening in your save.
LaughingLeader  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 6:51pm
Little bit of an update: While I wasn't able to reproduce your bug, I did notice in an older save, barter wasn't being shared with a specific companion recruited in what was previously a multiplayer game (Lohse). So I went in and rewrote a bit of the barter code, and it's working 100% of the time now.

I also tested things in local multiplayer, and even had two characters in different trader menus, and barter was being shared, so good news there.
Syntax_err6 7 May, 2018 @ 6:07pm
oh also while troubleshooting last night I thought that since it was only resetting for PC's that you own I had my friend go through the same process. our group is 1 1 2 and our third wasn't there so maybe since he wasn't there to go through the reset on his profile it's not completely resetting?
Syntax_err6 7 May, 2018 @ 6:04pm
that's what I was thinking would be helpful to see. come to think of it I installed the organized contaners mod and there's a sell bag in it that gives you the shown value for an item when you put something in it. I'm wondering if that conflicted with barter somehow? if it wasn't across all my profiles and saves I wouldn't be so confused I guess
LaughingLeader  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 5:59pm
One other thing I'll do is add the ability values it's comparing right into the debug message, so if you test it again and get the same thing, we'll at least be able to see what it thinks your barter bonuses are.
LaughingLeader  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 5:55pm
Anyway, I'll see if I can pinpoint what might be causing the bug you're experiencing. Not exactly sure offhand, as this isn't reproducible on my end so far.

I'll start by updating the debug command to reset auras on all players (currently it just does this for characters you own in multiplayer). That way if it's a database that got bugged out, or a status that's gone bad, that should clear it. I'll also make this command a host-only command.
LaughingLeader  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 5:27pm
Yeah, that flag you're seeing there is immediately cleared upon being set, which is why it says it's 0.
Syntax_err6 7 May, 2018 @ 5:22pm
that's the one
LaughingLeader  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 5:20pm
Which "reset debug" function are you referring to? "Remove Aura Statuses"?
Syntax_err6 7 May, 2018 @ 5:17pm
0 -0 -1- 6 was working fine and then I noticed it wasn't giving me the discount last night, spent all night trying to troubleshoot, one thing I noticed is when I use the reset debug function it doesn't set value to 1 then 0 which if I'm looking at the github code right should toggle?. could be wrong though
LaughingLeader  [author] 7 May, 2018 @ 5:12pm
@Astynex Haven't heard of that problem before. Those messages you're seeing are helpful though, as that's a debug message indicating where in the code it's not passing the check

In this case, that message means the player receiving the barter bonus (from the person with the highest barter) has a barter greater than or equal to the person with the highest barter, therefore they don't need a bonus.

So just to confirm, what's everybody's barter value in your party?
Syntax_err6 7 May, 2018 @ 5:05pm
So I'm not sure what happened but the barter aura has stopped working for me and my friends, debug screenshot shows what happens when you open a trade, I closed the window to show the error, doesn't matter if i'm hosting with them or if I'm alone same result, i've tried all the fixes in the menu not sure if you've seen it before. error
LaughingLeader  [author] 12 Apr, 2018 @ 12:50pm
@Mistafu That's actually from Larian's recent lucky charm sharing feature. When they first introduced luck sharing, it only worked for characters you control. They made it work across users in a later patch. Also, that luck sharing only works when opening things.

CA's luck aura shares your luck all the time while it's active, so besides sharing your luck when looting things, it also works for checks that require a certain luck value (like possibly other mods that add skills to luck).
Mistafu 12 Apr, 2018 @ 10:38am
dont know if it got mentioned alreasy but if you play MP (currently doing so with 2 other people) the lucky charm trade is shared to all of them for getting a lucky find, theres a even a message "lucky charm from lohse shared with you" or something like that
LaughingLeader  [author] 11 Apr, 2018 @ 2:12am
@ Emerald Unicorn Thanks for letting me know. The war against the respec mirror seems to be never-ending, haha.

The auras should be disabled automatically when using the respec mirror, to prevent that kind of situation. I'll look into seeing if anything can be done.

The auto un-stealth update went out today, as well as some LeaderLib (one of my new mods) support.
Emerald Unicorn 26 Mar, 2018 @ 8:30am
So auto-unstealth still is happening, not sure if you have even updated yet, though. But I wanted to mention that I came across an interesting thing where I taught my stealth guy the stealth aura, then through respec and gear changes his stealth level is now only 1, so the ability has disappeared from his ability lists and the hotbar, yet he will still share his stealth level and auto-stealth those around him.
LaughingLeader  [author] 23 Mar, 2018 @ 12:50pm
@[Risk] Galiant I went through today and added the ability to toggle off sneaking for controlled characters when you turn the stealth aura off, so expect that in the next update, which should be soon (just testing to make sure everything works first).
Emerald Unicorn 23 Mar, 2018 @ 6:59am
I tried toggling the stealth aura a few ways, in and out of stealth on my Sneaky character. Everyone will always enter stealth when I want, but I always have to manually unstealth them all.
LaughingLeader  [author] 21 Mar, 2018 @ 10:56am
Persuasion checks use only the player's persuasion value (among other things), so no worries there. If you have a high persuasion and still fail a check, chances are that check was made impossible to pass.

By the way, the aura buffs you see on NPCs are just a side effect of only having an "aura on allies" option for statuses, rather than "aura on players only".

Despite this, the visible status you see from auras is just an indicator - the civil ability point bonuses are actually applied with an invisible status that only applies to players, so NPCs aren't getting a bonus anyway.
Emerald Unicorn 21 Mar, 2018 @ 10:17am
I haven't tried that, but I will. Also wondering about other auras where I see NPCs get the buffs... I use the Pursuasion aura on one of my guys and have seen the buff pop up on NPCs and it got me wondering if that might cause me to lose pursuasion attempts in dialogue if they are possibly getting the same buff as me, essentially negating it? I haven't lost any pursuasion rolls so far, though, so idk if that means I've just been lucky enough with how high my INT is on my main, lol, or if the aura is simply working as intended.
LaughingLeader  [author] 21 Mar, 2018 @ 10:00am
@[Risk] Galiant Did you try deactivating the stealth aura? I think I had it set up so that the aura host losing stealth wouldn't automatically knock the others out of stealth (since this could trigger by getting caught), but toggling the stealth aura would do the trick.

If not, I'll go through and make it work that way, as that is indeed a nice time saver.
Emerald Unicorn 19 Mar, 2018 @ 12:00am
Any chance you could make it so that, with the stealth aura auto-stealth, your companions will automatically unstealth when you do it with your active character? I figured the auto stealth would be nice so I didn't have to switch to each person for every time but you still have to switch to unstealth them all or try to lead them into someone's LoS.
LaughingLeader  [author] 12 Dec, 2017 @ 4:25pm
@Xo3 Hey, just wanted to notify you that I started working on a Leadership mod today that does what you requested - the leader gets half of the leadership bonus (if they're not being affected by another leader). Was a pretty simple mod to make, so expect that getting released this week.
Ace-Educator 8 Dec, 2017 @ 4:37am
Yes, I get the discount. Thanks!
LaughingLeader  [author] 7 Dec, 2017 @ 10:22pm
Are you sure barter isn't working? Check the workshop description - it's a bug with the engine, where the Barter tooltip says 0 when first trading, despite the discounts being applied. Switching between characters in the trade menu fixes the Barter number for that initial character.

You'll get the discount regardless of the number shown on the initial character that opens a trade.
Ace-Educator 7 Dec, 2017 @ 10:03pm
That worked, but the barter aura is not working. It never did. But the others (lucky, sneak, and charm) are.
LaughingLeader  [author] 7 Dec, 2017 @ 9:49pm
@Ace Educator Yes, you will see the bonus points on your civil abilities (and if you highlight over them, you'll see the bonuses in the tooltip like "+1 from Persuasive").

If you're not seeing that, chances are something may have gone funky when updating an existing save, so try to force the story to rebuild and see if that helps.

You can also try running the "Remove Aura Statuses" command under the debug commands with the CA settings book. That'll refresh the system, and may fix whatever's stopping the bonuses from applying to your party.
Ace-Educator 7 Dec, 2017 @ 9:32pm
Will we see the bonus on the stat page? My "smooth talker" guy has the skill on (innate) but none of the other party members (inr ange) have the addition to their social stat page.
