*Gaining a stat does give you the associated stat counter. "Increasing" a stat does not and needs you to already have it.
*The boards are available to everyone. While the player that opens a box does get bonuses, this is usually restricted to drawing some extra cards and getting that Boxes Opened stat.
*If a box or deck doesn't have any cards in it and none in its discard pile, it no longer exists. You do effects as best as you can.
However, once you find another Ore Vein card and its discarded, it essentially creates a new Ore Vein deck.
What do we do after that if a card tells us to "Draw from the Vein Ore Deck" or something like that, if that deck is no longer existant? Do we just discard that card?
Who can use that? Just me, because I was the one who unlocked that box? Or can my friends use that board as well because we share it?
And that board uses Money. When do we get to use "Money"? We weren't able to use that board for like 40 minutes because no one unlocked the "Money" stat, not even me!
personally, i am going to change that
sure, i may end up with an 8 hour recording session to edit, but it will be worth it
perhaps a box series because my friends and i have yet to complete a game but i will be damned if that remains the case
I do have a rules question: If a card says "Keep in play" but nothing about where, should I put it in front of me(if so, does it just apply to me), or just somewhere on the table(with it applying to everyone)?
The same box that adds the pawns also adds the See the Sights cards that interacts with the pawn.
*How attaching works is on the glossary page in the rulebook, but you basically put the card on each other, treating them as one.
*It's drawn from the top, but the top line of the info card wants you to shuffle the cards first.
*Cards usually specify who is the target, such as “in front of you” or “all cards in play”.
*Incredible Immune System does not prevent the cards already in play, only future ones.
*If a SIDE EFFECT isn't added, you simply do the main card's normal effect. It's own SIDE EFFECT is not added.
*Spawn in components when needed. The game does provide most components, but generic pawns, such as the Sightseeing Pawn, will have to be spawned in manually.
*Giving a player something removes or reduces it from your end.
*The second card is only used for the SIDE EFFECT.
Answers, in order (sorry for the delay) part 1:
*The effect would prevent you from drawing the card in the first place. Either draw from another box (that you can draw from), or skip drawing (if there is no valid box).
*All collections go on the notecard (see rulebook). For example, if you played Globus Igneus, you woul put it on your notecard as “Spell: Globus Igneus”. (And don't worry, making up rules you don't understand is part of the chaotic fun ;) )
*Alchemist's Table buffs both the base card and any added SIDE EFFECTS (as the effects are added to the base card).
*Each box (such as the Alchemy Box) has a card that lets you collect that box (I.e put it on your notecard, much like the Spell (see Stats & Things section in the rulebook)).
*Throwing a card must be done as a card effect, such as the card Throw.
There are a few cards that specifically allows drawing from the Junk Pile, such as Rummage. Note that when drawing non-random cards from the Junk Pile, you can pick what to draw.
The latter, sort of. You don't use the SIDE EFFECT of the first card, but instead the SIDE EFFECT of the second card.
For example, say your first card is Volatile Extract and the second card is Poison Ivy. The final effect would be for you to lose 1 Life and discard 1 card from your hand (Volatile's base effect and Poison Ivy's SIDE EFFECT).
Had Poison Ivy been first and Volatile second, you'd lose 2 Life for having Sick instead of 1, as Volatile's SIDE EFFECT ups the number.
Those small, darker boxes (Linked boxes) are only to be opened when all boxes it's named after are opened. See the "Linked Boxes" section of the rulebook. For example, if it's named <R6><S7>, both boxes R6 and S7 needs to be opened from the Box Box before you open the <R6><S7> linked box
You should have found the Store board along with the cards that talk about it.
For additional info: the Store Board should be included in the S7 box. It's a small board with 4 slots for cards.
As for the [unpredictable] thing, I forgot to specify on the info card that the Alchemy Box is considered to be [unpredictable]. This is going to be fixed in an upcoming update.
And the table texture is out of date for some reason. It's just a basic wood table texture. Feel free to replace it with whatever table texture you'd like. This will also be fixed for the update.
